I think this song could have been a huge hit if it hadn’t been relegated to the B side of, I believe it was ‘Indigo Spring’. An inferior song IMO written and produced by Tony Macaulay.

I was 16 years old, here in Buenos Aires, a time when we depended on radio disc jockeys to find out about world music. One afternoon I heard this song for the first time. We used to worship the Beach Boys, Beatles, but I was surprised by the beauty of this song by an unknown group. I bought the single here in Argentina that had the B-side "Spending my life saying goodbye" and I recommended it to other friends who also did it. In 1977/8 I lived in London and once I think I saw an advertisement in Time Out for a show of Consortium in some pub. I still regret not having gone at least to convince myself that they still existed. This song accompanied me all my life and today, at 70 years old, I still remember it. Today the Internet allows us to discover even a new version of the song and make us happy about the existence of Geoff Simpson by uploading the videos to You Tube

from this, its hard to believe they evolved into a 'hard rock' band........but they did.......try '13th. hour'...........;)
