Also when you call out from it does the person your calling know it's you or is it calling from a Iridium number?
When calling from the GO, the number that will appear is the satellite number attached to the GO, not your mobile number.
If someone calls your personal cell phone number will you receive the call or does the person trying to get ahold of you have to call the Iridium satellite phone number?
Yes, if you're out of mobile coverage, they need to call your satellite number attached to GO device.
Does anyone know the main differences between the Isatphone 2.0 (2014 rel.) vs. 2.1 (2018 rel.) There’s no data anywhere about that.
Jesus, for what you’re charging for these phones monthly you’d think they would function like a modern phone, not like a 2001 analog phone.

Hi @jinnap1148, thanks for asking, that's a really good question. Although the Iridium Network covers the entire world, Iridium complies with the U.S. embargo restrictions. Therefore, it is prohibited from providing products/service in the following countries: Taliban controlled Afghanistan, China, Cuba, India, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Sudan. Each country is different and regulations may change without notice, so please ensure to check with the local consulate or customs offices.
Can I get weather reports on it? Does it have navigation built in?
The Inmarsat IsatPhone 2 offers valuable features for staying connected in remote locations. While it doesn't have built-in weather services, you can subscribe to third-party services that deliver weather forecasts directly to your phone via SMS or email, keeping you informed of changing conditions wherever you are. For navigation, the IsatPhone 2 is equipped with GPS functionality, allowing you to view and share your coordinates. This can be especially useful in emergencies or for basic navigation tasks.
