Skeleton Tribe PNG Part 1
I had the privilege to spend 2 days with the Skeleton Tribe near Goroka, Papua New Guinea. They spent hours getting ready for a performance just for me. This video shows them getting ready and the beginning of their performance.

Hey Eddie, have you uploaded some videos of Misima Island, Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea? I am from Papua New guinea and living in Port Moresby.
Hey❤
What a fucking stupid video. The guy has a low-quality camera that captures the annoying sound of the wind more than his voice.
As papau new Guinea We are good people and if you are secared about roming around our staning city why the heck did you go around our city 😱
I only had a good experience in PNG. The only way to explore the rest of the country is to fly in to and out of POM. I'd love to go back someday soon.
Port Moresby lol. Come to Bangkok Thailand
It is safe in the past, but now are days are worse than ever 💀💀💀💀
Most locals would shit themselves walking from Town to Koki. The man!
PNG is a beautiful place so relaxing and refreshing i love PNG watching from Philippines
I worked in POM in 2012-13 and the first place I lived was Koki, within a day or so of arriving a dude took his wifes head at the market with a bush knife because he thought she had been cheating, by the time I left I knew that was just another day in Moresby. I later moved to Lawes Rd above Ela Beach and I have to say from the more recent videos I've seen it's looking way nicer. I lived in one other compound but damned if I can remember the address. Finally although there a places you can safely walk during the day I don't know if I'd call you brave or stupid, especially wandering around with a GoPro, I'd certainly call you lucky.
Наконец хоть что-то, похожее на обзор города. Только камера дёргается как у эпилептика
Bro grand Papua is expansive tho 😂
Wow I was born and raised in Port Moresby and I would never ever go by myself on foot to Koki😂 but it's safe for tourists anyways
Enjoy 😊👍
Ur nuts fuckin about that place lol
It may be bad to you if you are bad person. If you are good person and promote positive attitude the good return to you as well.
Bro, the place has changed very quickly since this video🏢🕋🌆🏙🌃
How so? I hope I can go back to PNG again soon
@@eddiebell That's an great idea u can come again bcoz it has change
I grew up in #Mosbi. I always strolled around without a worry. It's a #beautifulplace and I can't wait to see it again one day 🎶🎶🎶
PNG is a great place. I hope I can go back soon
@@eddiebell Great video Eddie. We used to buy veges at #KokiMarket 🌽🌽🌽
@@eddiebell Bro, the secret to truly enjoying your stay and getting to immerse yourself in our everyday lifestyle is to make friends with the locals. At least one so you can walk around with where ever you want to go. That's it! Let me know if you want to come back.
Who is watching this in 2020..? I grew up in Koki Settlement now known as Koki Wanigela Village.. You are probably the most bravest and courageous white man I've ever seen going there by yourself despite the negativity 👍👏
Hey mate,, would u like to do it again in this 2020? Please get back to POM 😀
7:34 You forgot your title text there! :)
Wow you were brave very dangerous what you did and the fish market use to be the slums and black market
Boy, peoples will rob you but you are white should be fine
stupidity whoever told you is dangerous, tell him to go to hell..portraying bad image to the world..if you don't like it then why you went there? it is the island of PARADISE.
hello. i am a raskol. if you come to my village or if i see you walking around i will capture you and take you back to my hut where you will be roasted and eaten for dinner
Sounds like an authentic experience
Espero sigas vivo bro
You ain't no Ross Kemp that's for sure
I always wanted to visit Port Moresby since I was small but after watching your video , I have second thoughts . I live in Malaysia and here it is usually safe to walk alone in the middle of the night . I think I would be uncomfortable visiting Port Moresby . Whats the use of visiting Port Moresby if I don't feel peace of mind walking around .
I recommend visiting other parts of PNG. I felt very safe walking round on Misima Island. If you have a guide or a local friend, you should be fine anywhere.
Well if you make one local friend it is definitely safer to walk around with a friend. Or in a car, other parts of png are definitely safer.
You want the whole touristy experience, join couch surfing a get get hosted by a Local. Befriending a local is the trick, you get to expert a whole different perspective bout our beautiful country than the one potrayed by media.
#Yes 🇵🇬🙏🇵🇬🙏🇵🇬🙏
Png is criminal country
100% very true people are super friendly and it's a gorgeous place the Western media always make certain places seem like hell on earth and it's so far from the truth.
So good to see & hear a positive video on PNG. Good job.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Your place is safe bro go other area, you will lost one leg
😂 looool
Don't be scared, be brave, lol.
Media and press has portrait negative image about Port Moresby.. Like else where in the world, they are bad people too in Port Moresby..but most people are friendly and the city too is safe
Yes definitely love
how you know my friend, i hope will go this country in future.
Hopefully with a woman as Deputy Police Commissioner the law & order will improve 🙏🧡🙏
Hay little man its not like West side Chicago --US ..you look as if you are at gun point ...hahah ..stop the bullshit....first white man he ever saw ?? really ??hahah...real Port Moresby city -ruclips.net/video/PPwSx6_4X4E/видео.html
Are Nepalese people working there??
I didn't see any. Lots of Chinese.
Yes in all the shops in Port moresby
Your fking crazy
Probably
@@eddiebell hahaha my nigga love you boi no homo
Dude what made you walk the streets of Port Moresby? I take my hat off to you for bravery or you have a death wish, lol, :~)) Eyes everywhere watching, waiting for the right moment to strike
I had to see it for my self. I read all about it before I went-- didn't think it could be as bad as people said. Luckily, nothing bad happened to me.
@@eddiebell glad you had a trouble free trip. I used to live there. We moved to Australia in 1979 because law/order/safety concerns. PNG was a wonderful safe place under Australian administration. After independence September 1975 problems started. I have since revisited 3 times over the years. Place has progressed, still has a long way to go. Cheers.
Dude, I know expats who roam around at night here!! it isn't what you think it is once you make a couple of local friends!! Hope you enjoyed your stay!!! (RESPECT)
I guess building behind you in ur photo profil is Prambanan Temple, Am I right?
Yes, you are correct
EJ Bell You should visit Indonesia again man 😀
Its not a temple. It’s a bank - Bank of South Pacific
Where da raskols at
I got it
IYA
I was there for garment businesses from the beginning of the 80's to year 2000. So so sad that Morsby is getting from bad to worst! To me the problems are only three. Years of multiply corrupt government official right up to the Prime Minster. And unemployment plus drinkings. Please God save PNG n Her wonderful people.Thank you, God
I think that things will improve if more people visit. Positive education would help. 🇵🇬 🙏🇵🇬🙏🇵🇬🙏
The quality of the buildings, infrastructure, and vehicles looks really high. Not what I'd envisaged at all, it looks pretty damn good. Thanks for your video.
What a fucked-up place.
It's another location on planet earth. We share the same dirt, atmosphere and chemical composition. God's land. Have respect🙏🏿🇵🇬
Grow up have you seen Canada lately, go take another injection.
Don’t understand why foreigners consider Port Moresby very dangerous. Most Papua New Guineans are decent hard working citizens. Although there are hot spots for criminals this is mainly because of the need to survive which forces a few to do petty crimes just to get by. Unlike the so called western world full of “Mentally” affected individuals who go on shooting spree killing innocent lives, child killers and rapists not forgetting the series killers and drug catels and the mafia. How can you judge a developing country like Papua New Guinea which has 800 plus languages and cultures trying its best to bring harmony amongst its tribes. You are bunch of uneducated morons ignorant fools that do not understand differentl cultures. You should understand that most of the problems are caused by your Hollywood movies. These so called rascals that you are afraid of are inspired by your movies. You should stop feeding us garbage on tv if you want to help us
Hello, I've been to 30 countries and PNG is by far my favorite. I spent a week on Misima Island and another week in the Highlands. I tried to be as educated as possible about Port Moresby before I went. Everything said it was dangerous. The local staff in the hotels, museums and on the street all told me the same thing. I had a great time and nothing happened to me, I just know what I read and was told.
I believe the local media is part of the problem why Port Moresby is viewed as a dangerous city because they (the media) like the report on the negatives rather the many positives that go unnoticed by the media. Best way to get to know the place is to befriend a local and you’ll be fine. Other than that Government corruption is also to be blamed for most of the problems in PNG
Yeah, if I went there I wouldn't be scared, I grew up there in the 80s but left in the 90s, png people are nice
lucky you still have a foot....i hear they eat everything
lie
Only on special occasions now.
Lol😂
@@ma-lp9tx 😅🤣😂
I grew up in Port Moresby in the 80s, It was relatively safe to walk around during the day (as a kid!) and drive around (doors locked) at night. To give you an idea of how dangerous it is now, at the height the Iraq war Port Moresby was considered the 2nd most dangerous place for foreigners outside of Bagdad. Places I used to walk around by myself as a kid are now no go zones. That includes Koki Market where you were, Idlers Bay, Boroko, Gerehu (I lived there in the early 80s).
Dexter Plameras do u know or have herd anything about the korowi tribe in the highlands?? please reply
I don't know anything specifically about them, but tribes in general operate on the same systems. Tribes in PNG still solve their differences through tribal wars. Payback is cultural, as is sorcery and witchcraft killings.
Dexter Plameras i see thankyou heaps :)
I grew up there in the 80s also 😁
Port Moresby in 70s and 80s was quite safe to work around. I went to St Joseph school in Boroko. Our family owned a shop in Boroko and sometime we walked to our shop after finished school. Quite a few expats children walked back to home after school finished. Lots of people in Koki Market are is still quite safe to go. I left Port Moresby in the early 90s, the crime rate start to get worst. I think this is due to many people from other parts of PNG come to Port Moresby for work and unfortunately there were not many jobs available in Port Moresby, thus there is quite a lots of unemployed people around.
7:28 - the best view of shithole PM
walk to the settlements and youl get pumped mate !
In the ass ?
ruclips.net/video/vSODqyAxYVU/видео.html
If you're with a local it's perfectly fine, I've done it and I was fine, people like to talk nonsense and make places seem so dangerous some neighbourhoods in Sydney are way more aggressive and dodgey than Port Moresby settlements.
Hope you had a good stay. Its mostly safe just opportunist street thugs in places usually where no one can see. So just dont go to isolated areas.
Jimi Hendrixx do u know anything about the korowi tribe in the highlands
Korowi people are from Papua Indonesia.
Great video Eddie! Really enjoyed the series u filmed in Guatemala. i'm doing a camping trip to the Peten in October. When were u there/? cheers :)
I was there last September. It's an amazing place!! Enjoy
thanks for reply! Hey mate! can I PM u with a couple more questions about where u stayed in Uaxactun>? or could u PM me? me email is on my channel too. cheers!
