1983 was when the 80s would reach its peak era. This was when vhs reached its height and the space aesthetic was huge and in its peak. Also this was when 3d animated logos would start to become common. There was lots of variety too. This is probably the best year for logos in the entire 80s next to 84.
1982 logos

1982 was the year when the 80s got its early start. There are many logos here that are trying to be futuristic and have synths. Many of these logos are also in space. Plus there start to be more and more computer animated logos than before. Home video is now popular and there are now many different logos made for them too. This year was interesting for logos.

1981 was an interesting year. This was the year where the transition from the 70s to the 80s was the most apparent. There is a huge mix of disco esque 70s styled logos and 80s logos with synths. 1980 was not too memorable but was better than the previous year. Logos were in a transition period during this time. Ever since 1978, logos started moving into the direction of what the 80s logos would become.
