iSDT SC-608 150W Smart Charger
Just a very quick review of the iSDT SC-608 150W Smart Charger I got from AliExpress (also available from BangGood, for a little more money). I have gone through two other chargers - the Imax B6 and a clone from TenRC that added a couple of features. Those were clunky and bulky, loud and ugly, and the DC power input used an inconvenient plug type - as if yo were going to use an AC adapter, which defeats the purpose of the AC/DC versions I had. Both of those had the AC power adapter die on them.
This thing is tiny, pretty, quiet (has a fan if it runs hot, but rarely does), light, and well, overall is pretty dang cool. It even shows internal resistances, which ideal for me since I test a lo...

Problem with motor control
Просмотров 2268 лет назад
Not sure where to start on this one. In the motor tab in CFC each motor is smooth. I think it's likely an ESC settings issue, but so far I can not do 1wire passthrough to check/set/flash them. If you have seen this and resolved it, let me know! The frame is the BULLIT Drones XR230, which is a 5" prop frame. The bottom plate is off and no fpv gear installed yet. It's a new build and never flown....
Lemon RX sat bind on CC3D - not happening

Well, I think it's binding, but it doesn't show anything in CleanFlight Configurator. I think maybe the CC3D is done. Dead.

Right out of the box, no charge. Tried charging, charger stopped, not enough charge to lift off. Tried charging three times in a row with not turning the drone on, same result. Maybe a bad lipo, maybe a bad charger... not sure.

I'm using Hasi's DIY flight controler with onboard FlySky RX. It's tiny and light, perfect for this project. I'm also using a micro cam and vTX so it's full FPV! This thing runs MultiWii, and this test is in rate mode because apparently horizon mode setting didn't take. LOL Also had done some testing on the battery before this flight test, so it was nearly depleted when I started. It's very sta...

Bench recording test

WARNING: THIS VIDEO MAY MAKE YOU CAR/SEA SICK! I have an Hummingbird HD Tube action cam, which has a built-in dvr and though I'd mount it to some sunglasses that were otherwise too big (ordered online, oops), in order to do 3rd person recording of quad testing/flying/reviewing etc. That seemed to work pretty well. So I thought I'd also try it to record some bench videos. I'm not sure I like it ...
1st test after fixing motor signal short
Просмотров 519 лет назад
I had a tiiiiny little strand of wire from the 1st motor signal wire touching the signal wire of the 2nd channel. I mean TINY! That was enough to make both motors act on both channels. My old eyes couldn't see it. I had to really magnify to see it.

Seems I have a short somewhere! I didn't notice this when I was using a Flip32 because in cleanflight you test all motors at once. When I did a test hover, the quad flipped straight away, and since I've had a lot of troubles with the Flip, I blamed it, and replaced it with a CC3D. But while going through the Vehicle Wizard, on the first motor test I noticed that while the 1st motor was primary,...

Not too much to see here. I finally figured out that my "dvr" recording was set to 1080p and 8Mps... too much for my tablet apparently. Plus, what's the point when the video is more like 640x480. I view my FPV on the same tablet, same stream, it's just a screen capture basically. The live video was totally smooth with no glitches. Except some signal issues (loss in the end), which was because I...

Thanks, just what I was looking for.
This guy modified his flysky fsi6s now it's work as dji phantom radio. Its really amazing . Check it out ruclips.net/video/duBEw6N9z6c/видео.html
Thanks a lot. I tried to follow instructions manual but couldn't get failsafe to set. After watching your video all is OK. Thanks again.
So happy it's still helping people!
Nice.. I was struggling with buttons to change percentage
I'm surprised anyone still sees this video. LOL I'm happy it is still helping people!
doesn't work for me, using the same hardware as this guy but when I switch off the transmitter all values hold last position. When looking in betaflight its set to drop but when I switch it off none of the input values changes, the RC has throttle set to -100% and I tried setting a spare AUX to failsafe if the value falls but it doesn't budge just hangs at the last known value.
This transmitters a piece of shit
You saved my drone ... thank you !
Hello i have apm 2.8 flight controller. I have successfully completed the fail safe in my transmitter. The transmitter I am using is flysky fs-i6 transmitter. Do I have to set up fail safe in my flight controller also using mission planner or just setting up in the transmitter will work. Please reply I am a subscribed user.
I don't know about APM specifically, but usually you set it up either in flight controller or both... rarely (that I have seen) do you only set it up on the transmitter. So I would guess yes.. but you'd need to talk to someone who knows APM to do that part. I suggest rcgroups.com
@@MrSatoV ok thanks a lot
Hi, did you ever tried falsafe on naza m litle? as i tried but when i switching of transmiter falsafe not kickikin in, it stay on same inputs as before switching of transmiter. could be faulty receiver?
When I press Canel it doesnt safe the values
weto hold cancel for a couple seconds
sir my throttle is stooped in half position
Hidden menu in fs i6x and i6 ruclips.net/video/hDRxZqklQbg/видео.html
This should be in the manual and Betaflight should have a disclaimer that it’s fail safe does not always work. Great job and thank you!
What manuel?! Lol none of this shit comes with legitimate decent instructions. Its all mumbo jumbo bullshit and none of the hrs of videos ive watched got my quad off the work bench. I bought the fs-i6 from here, and it works great! www.amazon.com/RCmall-Transmitter-Receiver-Airplane-Multicopter/dp/B01BXS0BWO/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1504683727&sr=8-9&keywords=fs-i6
Been trying to remember how to do this. Thank you good sir
cant hear you
With failsafe set like this. Will the receiver and transmitter reconnect on the way back down?
Sow amigo mim ajudou muito
i just upgraded my Fly sky remote control to a new version in order to have 10 CHANNELS I dont know how to setup the failsafe ? is it the same way ?
come again?
how to click photos on this transmitter
I thank you! Great help for myself! cheers from germany :o)
i buy 2 atom cc3 d when i connected to computer no problem but when desconected and connected to lipo battery no signal my esc respond atom nohing happend any help
a lot of people report that the failsafe feature does not work on a lot of recent eachine aircraft like the Aurora 100 and 90. everything on the transmitter is setup properly everything on betaflight is setup properly but it just doesn't work. We were asked to review the Aurora 100 and then a user asked us to post a video about setting up the failsafe but the only video we can post is one about the fact that it seems like eachine is programming aircraft to fly away instead of drop out of the sky. It's not like they make more money if People's aircraft just fly away and they have to buy more.
R/C 101 I believe that this is because of these new flysky micro recievers. I have been told that these recievers specifically have no failsafe function. I know not if the craft you mentioned uses the board I just know eachine has been using it. (ex: eachin qx90 qx95)
I just get my Eachine QX90C with Flysky AFHDS 2A integrated receiver. I set up Cleanflight failsafe to drop and also the Flysky FS-I6X transmitter per this video. Testing it shown that either the Cleanflight nor the FS-I6X works. The motor keep spinning after switching the transmitter off. What am I missing? How to fix this?
abghere chances are your receiver is PPM and the failsafe I have only managed to work on ibus
Hey channels 5 and 6 are NOT those switches. The switches only effect how your transmitter communicates with the receiver and the data of them is not send to the quad. Channels 5 and 6 are set to the aux which are the two knobs at the top of the transmitter.
WTF? You are lost. Ch 5 and 6 are whatever switch or variator you choose. He chose SW C and SW D. Stop spreading crap info to the community.
i recently bought fly sky FS-i6. but the problem that i am facing is the it is not getting bound by the receiver which is FS-iA6. i tried all types of binding. still it is not binding. can you help me with this
It's Got Everything you put the bind plug in the last spot on right, put the transmitter in bind mode, then power the receiver and that should be it...
Thank you!
Bad audio is bad.
Thanks for the feedback. ;-) When I made this the TX was new and there were an increasing number of questions about it. Since I was able to get it working, I made a quick vid to help others. I'm not building a channel to solicit subscribers and try to make any income off of it. I never made a penny off of yt, and you can see why. LOL Over 44k views and only 80 subscribers, says it all.
how or did you resolve the issue?
I got a full RX and used that to bind. this is now standard process for me. Faster and easier. $10 for a full rx from lemonrx.
You made me think my computer was lagging lol, nice little charger, I might pick one up
thanks I wish I would have thought to check this 3 days ago I had a fly away and it was on a full throttle punch with a yaw input on a fresh battery so it continued with last input and I lost sight of it when it whentt through the clouds and that took only 60 sec or less and all I could is cry noooo please battery die but it didn't ppl keep asking me if I found it and I'm like dude it whentt through the freaking clouds. even if it whentt straight up and down coming from the clouds there wouldn't be a single usable part left! I just hope it came down in the woods far away from anyone or anything so thanks now I know the next one will fall out of the air 😭😭😢
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you had the ia6 receiver... If you get anything in the future I'd suggest immediately swapping out that receiver as it is a limited range receiver and replacing it with the ia6b receiver. The ia6 is rated something like 200-300 meters and the ia6b is rated around 1,500 meters.
+RC Flyer85 na I had bought the ia6b rx just to be able to use ppm so I wouldn't have a mess of wires but in an earlier crash it pulled an antenna loss I fixed evidently not as well as I thought
+George Posey Oh ok... well that really sucks. Yeah I don't even chance it with these... any little thing wrong with the antenna and I buy a new unit. Best of luck in the future.
+RC Flyer85 lol thanks yeah from now on that's what ill do myself its not like 30 rx its just a cheapo I'm looking into a taranis but ill be saving my change for a while on that one lol
George Posey baaahahaha sorry man that funnyy! Just thinking...... lol.. how many drones gotta be floatin in outter space cus of this? Dayyyng that would suck tho!
so when my quad is out of range I need to put my switches all the way up? If I put the setting like you
When it's out of range it doesn't matter where's the switches are as it's not talking to the transmitter anymore. Now after a fail safe you'll need all switches up to bind again so it wouldn't hurt to push the up.
+RC Flyer85 ok thanks!
From what I understand... the channels (in addition to throttle) can be programmed as desired... so when a failsafe condition is encountered, the RX will signal the FlightController to go into a desired MODE - depending on how you've setup your FC mode switching options (eg. channel 6 is used for auto-level or uber-wicked mode). Also, as I understand it, this seems a bit redundant since most (not all) FCs have their own Failsafe detection setups. Still, I appreciate the rundant nature since a fixed-wing craft isn't usually using a FlightController so for a flying wing or whatnot, you've got a failsafe!
Got that right. I used to play around with failsafe channel settings, but in the end, off turns out to be best because no matter what else you do that props can still spin on and after impact. Nothing beats flight controller based failsafe, to do things like return to home or even just swtiching to self level mode and reducing throttle to the point of slow decent, stopping once down to like a meter height. But like you said, fixed wing don't normally use flight controllers, so the better the failsafe on the RX the better they are for fixed wing.
Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I'm having a similar issue, except mine "reboots" if ANY throttle is given. The moment I touch the throttle stick, the props just begin to spin for a fraction of a second, and then it reboots. Hope you found a solution, if so let me know. thank you.
I did... I stopped using those triblades. LOL Sounds stupid, but, yeah, they just caused too much draw. I'm sure there is a better way to "fix" it, but that worked for me. I never fly this thing anymore - too many issues. FETs burn, I hate MultiWii... in the end, I still have it, and soon will be replacing the FC and RX with an FC from FuriousFPV - soon to be released, which runs BetaFlight. And also going to Lemon DSMX sat RX. Should be really fun then. ;-)
Nice video. No better radio for the money ! goo.gl/04uO20 I had my bird out to 1.8 km without mods. A friend did a test and went 2.3 km before RTH triggered, *in a safe enviroment* With receiver FS-iA6B. At only $46 shipped it cant be beat !
Thanks for the great video. I'm using the FS I6 on an APM 2.6 and was battling to get the Mission Planner failsafe to work. I eventually figured out the the i6 failsafe on ch3 needs to be off otherwise it simply sets the throttle to its normal throttle down position. This makes it higher than the FS PWM value in Mission Planner. Does this sound correct to you?
Did you manage to get the fail safe to work on Mission Planner? As in, have you tested it on a quad yet? Because the Mission Planner fail safe dictates that you either need to set it to turn all channels off, or it needs to set the PWM value lower than the lowest on the TX, neither of which you can do using the above settings. If you have it working, would really appreciate it if you let me know how!
Hi guys, was wondering this it is happening to me after setting up the wizard config. i thought this could be an issue with the mini cc3d itself, would any one be so kind to help with this configuration. Many Thanks A
To know for sure, we'll need a photo of how your board is oriented, and a screenshot of your config page. Hit me up on Facebook. Search for BULLIT Drones, I'm Shawn Sato-Veillon.
Thankyou so much. I am joining an fpv racing club but one of their rules is my failsafe has to be working
Yes, that's the case for any race. Are you saying it doesn't? Failsafe for races means throttle cut - basically drone goes dead. Doesn't matter if you put throttle at zero/1000 all other channels to 50%/1500, or just all off, throttle cut off. Point is, if the drone is out of control heading for the spectators, you just need to kill it so the props don't add to the damage.
+Shawn Sato-Veillon basically I haven't been flying fpv long at all. I had looked online about a failsafe for the i-6 but couldn't find much. This is helpful as i have been approved to race for my local club and didn't really know how to set it up
So in Theory I could just leave all the channels alone and just change channel 3 then with no throttle to the motors. it would just drop from the sky?
+Jamie MacFarlane Yes, that's correct.
how do you fix the problem? i have the same
I didn't fix it directly. I blew the pdb, then flashed with latest betaflight and it was better. I still had to lower p from stock PIDs on yaw. she the now latest betaflight, it is fine on stock PIDs even. what FC and firmware are you running?
+Shawn Sato-Veillon (MrSatoV) I have the exact same problem, running Littlebee 30A ESCs, Emax RS2205 2300kv Motors and Lumenier Lux, every time I arm it the motors go crazy and I noticed that the front left and right back motors and esc's get very hot in a matter of seconds. Still haven't been able to fix it but I'm going to try and lower the p on the yaw like you said.
Found the problem, I took the nylon standoffs out and held the lux above the quad and pushed the throttle, everything went smooth, must be to do with vibrations.
+BanthonyFPV Strange! Although, if you don't have it directly connected to the frame, you're not getting all of the inputs from it. It's basically a yaw oscillation, which is generally caused by too high yaw P. By removing it, you aren't getting the yaw input to the FC, which it then doesn't over correct, etc. It kinda makes sense. Pretty sure you probably could have the same effect by just dropping P to 1. If you do that, you can slowly increase P until it starts to do it again, and then just lower it until it stops. Then you have max P. Sounds like a nice rig you have there!
what kind of range are you getting with this radio?
I have a 250 with CC3D and does the same thing. I rotated the FC 90 degrees, but forgot to set the orientation in the GCS. So I'm wondering if that is the problem I am having. I'll find out today when I get home from work I guess. :)
How did you get the 6.5V at the beginning? .. i though max voltage is 6V
Flysky sucks bro
awesome video thanks man, i'm going to use the same failsafe settings as you :) i'm hoping to get a eachine 250 falcon and some fpv goggles next month for my birthday :D
cool! welcome to the addiction! lol
Hi, it's okay for channel 3 but when i go on ch5 and ch6 i've 70% How put it to 100% ? Thanks
+thibaud mérigon It works by reading the stick input. While in edit mode, move the stick or swtich assigned to that channel and it will change the % based on that.
+Shawn Sato-Veillon (MrSatoV) Nothing assigned on ch5 & 6. So, need To do it before ?
+thibaud mérigon it is probably one of the knobs that you turn. Go into edit mode on that channel (in failsafe settings) and turn each knob to see if it changes.
+Shawn Sato-Veillon (MrSatoV) yeah it was the 2 little buttons on the top of the rc (vra, vrb) thank you very much, i'm safe, you're the boss !
+thibaud mérigon hahaha thanks ;-)
can you tell me how did you setup the 3 flying modes ?
+Ahmed Gamal That's done in the firmware gui for the flight controller, not the TX. They go on the 3 position switch. It should be available in the gui by default, but you can also assign whatever switches/knobs you want to channels 5 and 6.
+Shawn Sato-Veillon (MrSatoV) i understand that :) but i am looking for some guidance on the flying modes to start from
I bought this because of your 'pull the trigger' comment on banggood. It just arrived today and I haven't flown with it yet but it's much nicer than I expected. I bet they would sell more if it didn't look so cheap and tacky in the photos. These chinese companies need to brush up on their choice of fonts and label design I think.
+iforce2d I thought I replied to this already, but guess I forgot to click the final Reply before my PC crashed. LOL Anyway, Yeah, first when I saw it I thought it I didn't think much about it because it was the cheapest of it's kind. But in reality, it is quite good. I'm not sure which is better, this or FrSky (Taranis). I think the key to FrSky's success is just using known protocols instead of reinventing. FlySky didn't. Things are coming around though, and iBUS has been added to most flight controller firmware now - and as I've mentioned, the FS-iA6B (iBUS) RX has been unlocked (and I think maybe the TX too? have to check on that one) to support 10 channels in iBUS mode. This is same with Futaba - but Futaba never sold their RX with a software limitation on the number of channels in SBUS mode. They sell them as 3/17 or whatever. 3 ch via PWM/PPM and 18 via SBUS. Use whatever your TX is capable of. We don't really care if the manufacturer unlocks it someone in the community does, as long as we get it. XD I now also have a Turnigy 9XR Pro, which is more or less the same as the Taranis, and I have to say, the thing is a beast! I actually prefer the size of the FS-i6.
+Shawn Sato-Veillon (MrSatoV) This is the first tx I've had with a screen and menu etc, usually I use an arduino-based thing that could potentially have 32 channels, but so far I've only used 5 in practice, so the number of channels is less of a concern than the convenience of the trim settings etc. By the way, at what point is the receiver informed of the failsafe settings that were made on the transmitter? Are these values being continuously broadcast to the rx so that it knows what to do when signal is lost?
+iforce2d You make these settings while bound to the RX - this setting is per RX. So you have different models in memory, each with it's own RX, each can potentially have it's own and different settings. So, yeah, it's instant when you save it, and the RX remembers it. If you notice on your TX, it has a line that says ERR and a percentage. This is your signal strength meter. I have not found what the percentage is that is necessary for it to go into failsafe, but it definitely will tell you when things are getting dangerous - if you look at it. There inlies the problem. Of course, I've only flown something around the size of an American football field in distance, so I never felt there was a reason I might lose signal. Even FPV at that distance through some trees has been zero issue. So no need to look at it (and really couldn't anyway since I have fpv goggles on). I'm going to be hooking up minimOSD (micro) on my drone soon, and that will tell me via RSSI what my signal strength is. Who knows, maybe I'll find out how far the range is! The TX and RX (FS-iA6B) are both diversity. If you mount the RX antennas right, it would take a lot to lose signal. If you're just doing LOS, or FPV Racing and not long range stuff, I doubt you'll ever actually lose signal (except maybe flying through a building with concrete walls??). I have no way of testing it.
hi thanks for the vid just making sure i put the ch13 to 0% throttle?
+killa games ch13!? Not sure which channel you meant, but throttle, yes, 0%. I put them all to 0%, as well as my flight mode switch on horizon/attitude mode, so that if it comes back before it crashes, it's easier to recover. I have a theory that if you put throttle at something like 30% and put flight mode to horizon/attitude that it would self-level and sort of "land" instead of just crash. I haven't tried it though.
Assuming you do coast easy to the ground, wouldn't having your throttle at 30% keep the props spinning on the ground, possibly causing more damage to the quad? Not only broken props, but also burnt up motors or a quad that is going berserk on the ground until you get in range to disarm?
Yes, and a better way to setup failsafe now is through betaflight, where two stage failsafe is possible. land then shut off.
I didn't know that was an option! All I saw was the "drop" failsafe and the "land"... I'll have to look more into failsafe setup in Betaflight
Thanks for that video mine is now set up. Could you let me know how you got the flight mode on to the toggle switch as when I set mine up on openpilot it uses the VRB knob instead. Thanks in advance
+MrSupercharger99 Sure, you just have to go into the setup on the TX, it asks for Aux Channels, you pick from them all across the top. Then you can pick in the FC firmware's gui (OP GCS, Cleanflight Configurator, etc.) which you want to assign to that.
+MrSupercharger99 To clarify, it's in the TX Menu under Functions Setup, Aux Channels.
+MrSupercharger99 yeah you have to go into channel assignment you set vrb to ch 1 or whatever you want
SWC is the 3 position switch. What flight controller and firmware are you using?
+Shawn Sato-Veillon (MrSatoV) all sorted out now thanks had a play with the radio and swapped it around.
