Great video. Few bits of info for you from a local boy. 1) the road down to the beach at babbacombe is steep, windy, and suffers with subsidence. At the moment it is occasionally closed for repair. Check the council website. It is a very long steep walk down if the road is or becomes inaccessible. 2) The car park is privately owned nothing to do with Torbay Council. It takes coins only. 3) there used to be a toilet block there, but this has been locked for some time. Toilets in the pub after or before you go down to the beach on the downs at the top. 4) seals frequent this area often, unfortunately the public regularly feed them during the summer season- so they will come looking. They are generally friendly but can sometimes get a little territorial. 5) On your video there is a shot of Oddicombe. This is the beach on the other side of Babbacombe Bay. There is no car parking at the bottom and it’s used regularly by the sailing club there. The cliffs are unstable in that area. 6) The Cary Arms offers a mooring up service, so be aware of boat traffic coming in and out; particularly during the season. 7) Your nearest air fill is probably teign dive centre- unless you are going to head to Brixham. (Brixham dive shack). 8) That can be quite a lot of metal on the seabed here, old chains, steel panels etc. Sometimes these have sharp edges. 9) If you do swim around the wall, there is likely to be a lot of fishing line and gear there. It wouldn’t be unthinkable to have 5 to 10 people fishing off the wall. 10) Several dive schools use the site Regularly, so it would be a nice courtesy to the instructors to let them know where you’re likely to be heading. Hope this is helpful.
