Awesome
Beautiful runner ! You are so smart ! I wish when I learned it was a project provided style. instead of the random blocks & I was lacking knowledge to do more . My quilty imagination has came a long way since then . I like the size too , 18x 34. I also appreciate that you are coming from a fabric store owning view with giving fabric measurements and at the same time understanding some may not want to add to their stash . and it's make a great boarder just the square in square ... oh no , Now I'm thinking I need to do that . I planned flying geese boarder on something . Thank you for the ideas ! I know how to do this but still enjoy seeing how you teach it 🥰🥰 I'll try not to keep spamming but I'm only 9 minutes in . name... Shattered Rainbow .. I can do better maybe lol
Would you believe I forgot what the thin side of the ruler was for 😩 I need a 6" add a quarter eventually. I find the smaller one easier in a smooshed space with the sizes I like to do fpp in .
Love shattered rainbow. ❤️. Keep thinking. Love your ideas.
So very nice and comfort to those who are receiving the prayer pockets
They sew can be, yes! And you could go even further and personalize them to the person receiving them. They do give comfort and touch people's hearts when they receive them. They also touch the person who makes them. It is one of those projects that truly spread beauty and joy all the way around. Thank you for taking the time to comment. You have made us all think about the beautiful "why" of quilting when we read your comment.
I do the math too & ugh lol I need to do some more now that you have the poly . BTW I see you have the 60wt bottom line cheaper than where I usually buy. trading my link out for halos place ;) I appreciate that you do have affordable for me 🥰🥰 sorry for spam you just say things I want to chime in on LOL
No sorry is needed. Your opinion is sew important. You always make my day 😁
I missed the best shop show & tell 😭😭.THE 2 " FPP 😯😯😍😍 I saw the 6" & missed the smaller one , wish I'd had it the other day . OMGOSH ! I need to go shopping... again lol. Have you been reading my mind lol, the cut in half square in square for flying geese , has crossed my mind but came to the same conclusion about the seam allowance . I sat the alarm on my phone for next week ;)
I take blocks with me sometimes to the fabric shop locally to see what I want :) Hubby made fun of me, I was like, trust me they don't mind 😘 ( You mentioned taking the cards with you to choose fabric) Quilters: Nosey by nature 😆😆 I shop thread like you, holding it up to the screen . I understand colors maybe off soooo I take the risk . I like the sorting by color for the thread . Honestly if I was a big Auriful thread buyer I would splurge for the swatch cards .
Yes, set that alarm. Hope you are there next week.
I shop online for my thread, my quilt shop doesn’t carry thread. I need that swatch card.
It is a very good tool Laurie, especially if you buy thread on line. The cards have the actual thread not painted colors.
You can do your birth year. It is harder to get temp info if you live in a small town.
You could have a room in the quilt shop that is just reds, whites, and blues.
What is you put quilting methods. Categories underneath could be FPP, EPP, Applique, templates
I want to be a Normal person too 😂
Hello
Thank you for the detailed instructions.
You sew are welcome! Glad it was helpful.
#teamreplay 🥰 I lost Thursday . Don't remember Wednesday , saw you had a live & I missed Angel 😭😭 I'm laying on the comfy couch to catch up . HUGS!
Over 7k Congratz 🥳🥳 super cute all the things!
That's really pretty! To tell the truth I did not think I was going to like it. But after it was squared and pressed I love it!
Thank you. It is sew much fun seeing what you can do with small scraps.
Thank you so much for making this video! It was so helpful!! This is the 2nd time i have tried to make a 'strip' quilt. the first time was 3 yrs ago and it was the very 1st quilt i tried to make. i was going to make it for my grand daughter for Christmas. I got all of the strips sewn together and OMGOSH!!! I started to cry because it was all curved and i had no idea what i had done!! I stopped trying to make it and just bought her something instead. Now I am trying again. I have been very careful paying attention to the instructions, starting on one side then going to the other end...it started curving again so i did it from the other end. it straightened out a little but im scared to continue. I thought i would ck online for a video that would show me what i have been doing wrong. I was just making sure i was just starting the stitch on the opposite end from the one i had started before and it was wrong. No idea i was supposed to be matching the fabric and not just sewing the opposite end, if that makes any sense. wither way, i was doing i t wrong. Thank you so much! Terri Saak
Also, be very careful not to stretch during pressing! I hope this all helps! Happy quilting, and you got this!
HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! CUTE panel! I woke up feeling Christmas makes today, but I can be persuaded to do Halloween I think LOL I feel you on the mathing gf 😣😏AND IT GLOWS!?!?! I need this video on the tv, ttyl 🤗😘🥰
It really is a super cute panel. Hope you stop by this evening during the live at 7:00
I watched another video where she cut the batting one inch shorter to ease the bulk.
Like we always say here at Halo, “ There are no rules, just guidelines in quilting. The best thing is do what works best for you 😁” Thank you for stopping by.
Before you switch cameras I was trying to see around you LOL ! Beautiful strapping !!! 😍🎅❄🎉!!!⛄☃☃ So stinking CUTE OMGosh! 22x40 did it belong to the jolly green giant 😲 & ALL those fabrics🤯🎼 Thank you for sharing what fun pretties you get in Halo & Crew 💞 Sorry I missed your live I had to go to bed really early ,my body wasn't cooperating till today <3
No worries Coleen. We all have to go to bed early every now and then. Hope you make the next one, next Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
@@HALO_Inspirations I'll set an alarm, thanks :)🥰🥰
This was such a fun video.
Thank you. We are glad you enjoyed it.
Wonderful tutorial! THank you
You are so welcome! Thank you for stopping by
Thanks. I needed something else than epp for handwork
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by
So you don't wash and dry your panel?? Before stretching.
Nope...Water will shrink the panel and may distort it in a different way. If you are a prewash person, I would see if it makes a difference in your world. I do not prewash my fabrics. I usually starch yardage, but I do not starch my panels! Great question. Sounds like I need to a science experiment for those that prewash! Thank you!!! And thank you for stopping by! Happy Quilting!
@HALO_Inspirations thank you!
Is this live? I think my phone is whacko
This show was live on July 3. I think what you are questioning is yesterday’s creative kingdom show. Unfortunately we lost power in the very beginning. This happening had everyone questioning their phone.
I just watched Eleanor Burns do this quilt but she called it LaMoyne star.
A Huntsr Star is a variance of the LaMoyne star. There are several names for the same block in quilting. So, that doesn't surprise me. Isn't Eleanor Burns amazing!?! Thanks for sharing, and Happy quilting!
I get so much out of creating something just using hand stitching. Very calming 😌
That is sew true! Hand stitching is a great way to unwind for the day.
Happy Hump DAY! Hallo... Angel ya know I love you but I really feel like my friends are making my todo lists longer 😣😂 Would it work for cooked on starch? because someone doesn't use theirs responsibly 🙃 AND my shopping list is going from more fabric to less, & more stuff. I thought both mine irons had ceramic plates but the oliso stays clean better .I like cleaning lol Don't tell , but I do because the afters . Girl you are steamy 🔥LOL. Great video, Thank you 🤗🥰
HMMM I need help .... Please, tell me there's a holiday before my anniversary I can use as an excuse to shop. Oct is a long way away 😢
Help is here. The next holiday is Labor Day. Sept 2. Does that help? The best advise for the cooked on starch is to give it a try. It does wonders in cleaning irons. Good luck
@@HALO_Inspirations Thank you times 2 . I can pitch that as a giving your wife spending money holiday ! I will try it 💟
This stuff is magical! I am heavy handed with starch but a smear of this cream and a little rub with some flannel and voila!
@melaniehultman3872 Thank you ! I appreciate hearing from someone with the same experience ☺️
I did get somewhat annoyed with oh this is so easy, nothing is going to go wrong.
We do understand that Angel's humor isn't for everyone. However, thank you for stopping by!
Thank you for this demo, it was very detailed and easy to understand. I have a granddaughter that asked me to make her a t-shirt quilt and I have searched for a good video. Yours is the best! I look forward to actually making the quilt.
Glad it was helpful! T-shirt quilts are great memory quilts. Your granddaughter will love it. Thank you for stopping by.
So you pin normally vs. abnormaly!🫨🫨🫨
Thanks for watching
I just meant that the pin is facing the direction I usually pin as a right-handed person. The first pins were facing the opposite direction, as we see some left-handed quilters do. Great comment, and again, thanks for watching and stopping in!
What do you think about supreme for a weighted blanket? I think it would save money on glass beads since I could buy a smaller bag.
You know, I have never thought of that...It will have some weight, but it will be really, really warm! I'm going to ask around for other opinions on this.
So glad I came across your channel, best QUAG I have found yet! thank you
You are welcome. This is an amazing method that can be used on any domestic sewing machine. You have endless possibilities.
💡went on at 11:36 for me. My binding is too wide because I have never left batting overage 🤦♀. Thank you :) Back stitching at the mitered corner would be easier for me I think than the sewing off or not cutting my threads .👍 I can't tell you how nice it is to be SITTING and getting to catch up . Kindness was lacking around me for several months , getting to enjoy positive kind ( informative ) vibes from my beautiful friend is a blessing. Seriously , you just can't imagine. Love & hugs my friend & company !🥰
Seriously, thank you for the kind words. ❤️So sorry to hear that kindness was lacking for you. You deserve better. We are glad that we can help. May you have peace and kindness always.
@@HALO_Inspirations thank you :)
Hello Angel & Company! Today is catch up day or at least best I can. I did hear some while I was running around but these are visual & I wanna see 😉 umm I've never did the 3 measure system , I know it's a thing. I'm just lazy 🤫 I should work on my technique someday. Your quilts ( no matter size ) come out beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial & your channel mods for helping here!
Hi we are so happy you stopped by Coleen. Sew glad you liked it
😊
Being prepared is important.
Hobby Lobby sells a bag for $4.99
Thanks for the tip.
I have a 90” x 90” quilt to sandwich. I’ll work on the kitchen island using pool noodles and will try your homemade spray baste. This is safe to use indoors while 505 is not. Thank you for the tutorial.
You are sew welcome. Thank you for the kind words.
I followed the link to the website & couldn’t find the double chain details only single & triple
It is further down past Manx Quilting! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Quilting!
Thank you for stopping by. Please go back to the link again. The double Irish chain is further down the list. It is located between Manx Quilting and Christmas tree for Santa.
A hot hemmer is a really nice tool to get straight tight folds. Nicely demonstrated.
I use a sister method, fusible webbing strips which offers more cost effectiveness with no loss in utility. I prefer it to spray and to glue basting. I also use my design wall as it works well with gravity to help me keep everything square and straight. Either method allows you to really flatten your quilt with the help fo your iron. Once I went to this method, I've never gone back. Quilt basting really used to be the most dreaded chore; now it is so much easier. Parchment paper works great. I use teflon coated fiberglass mats which work great, and really transfer the heat. They make the best pressing blocks (and can be cut down), and ensures no shine on pressed, raised edges. Thank you for demonstrating your products and methods!
You are sew welcome! Thank you for the tips and stopping by.
Would not flour attract bugs? We live in FL, so bugs can be a problem.
I don’t believe that it will because it is mixed and not dry.
I have both knees replaced so the floor is out for me….
They are so pretty I love the Christmas fabric I make crazy quilt pillows and wall hangings
Crazy quilts are sew fun. Please share some of your projects.
This would be great as a stocking
Great idea!
Love this vintage Christmas look.
Yes !! It reminds me of my childhood
That's called sewing with a relaxed bottom (from my stretch and sew days)😊
Love that terminology!!!! We will have to start using that! Thanks for sharing!! Happy Quilting!
P.S. I would love to see a picture of the finished quilt top.❤❤😊😊😊
