So then 11 years and 11 months later, the 11th child who also saw the storm and the UFO ship at the same time, moves north and solves the pyramids... This ship came ashore 3 days after the US Independence Day.... getting the idea...??? Look up the meaning of Pasha and Bulka.. Pasha..=. High ranking person.. Bulka= lump in the body...or bread.. High ranking people eating lumps of human body like it is bread. These people will be on a ship 3 days BEFORE Independence Day..
Lived on the central coast at the time. Will never forget it.
Menos inglés 😢

The Hunger River Levebank at Maitland was literally singing as the flow rate of the rising flood waters, it was utterly amazing. I love the Hunter. ❤xo
It was AMAZING. We had 3 inches of water flowing over our grass at Mayfield and at first light I took my car full of our 4 kids to watch the Pasha Bulka run aground. We has ABC Radio in the car because we were a few doors away and it was a once in a lifetime experience.
I traveled from Maitland to Newcastle (only takes about 40 mins) friday afternoon only to be stuck for over 8 hours trying every way to get back to Maitland eventually finding an area in Jesmond where we crossed a flooded creek in an AU ford falcon luckily quick enough to not take water into the engine.. A night I'll never stop remembering. Edit: I was there when they were rescuing the people on board.. The waves were crashing over the side of the ship and hindering the rescue.. Was an awe inspiring moment.. Wish my videos were as clear as this! If it wasn't for the captain coming ashore the night before, for a night on the town that this would have never happened.. No one on board was able to give the command to drop the anchor as it was floating over a reef..
Her Rudder remained at a scrap yard in Thornton for about 18 months that I saw many times where it was eventually scrapped.. It was supposed to be an iconic structure on the headlands near Nobbys Beach but sadly never happened..
@@Matty12787 they floated it out the harbour on one of those float ships that takes the wrecks to shop scrappers if I remy correctly.
I missed it all, I was camping at Pol Blue up Barrington and woke to 4" of snow on the Saturday. No reception up there so knew nothing about the storm. Driving home on Sunday I heard about a ship on a beach and thought "wonder where that is?"
I knew the person who died when he got swept into the water drain
I was born when this was happening!
I suddenly feel so old. :)

What a love about this is the visuals mixed with the great reporting. It's actually thrilling without them too - it gives an example of the way reporters painted word pictures in the old days when all we had was the wireless!
I escaped just as the storm was gathering and stayed with family in Sydney.
What are we looking at her Carol?
One of the homes destroyed by bushfires in my Dad's village in northern NSW.
I had to drive from Raymond Terrace to Wangi that night. Was such a screw around. Couldn't use the free way, the roads were underwater and closed. had to go through Newcastle. Tried going past jesmond, it was underwater 2m+ Headed to mater hospital, turned right and in the big dip between the hospital and University was under water, 3m+ Did a U-turn, followed the road all the way to Newcastle rd, turned right to head towards the John hunter hospital. turned right down to cardiff, was underwater, did a U-turn headed back to the Newy inner city bypass. Turned right down to warners bay to follow the esplanade to five island. Warners bay was fine, the esplanade wasn't. Water was spewing out of the drains about 4m into the air at the bottoms of the hill, the concrete drain lids were on the road, a car was washed into the lake around Pippis bar. Finally managed to get onto 5 Islands rd, whilst crossing 5 islands, waves were smashing the bridges and sending spray over the car. got onto toronto rd, trees were strewn across the road. Got through Toronto with ease. Water over the road at wilsons rd just after toronto, about 0.5m deep. Donnely rd had trees across it everwhere. Wangi district workers club was getting smashed by waves. Was a hella crazy adventure. a normal 1hr 15 min drive ended up taking over 3.5 hours.
Big scary
i missed it all...i was in the mater in a coma...from pancreatitis..woke up and everyone was talking about a ship on the beach... no idea what they were talking about... sad times too with people losing their lives.

Actually I couldn't get the ABC on my battery powered radio. It was a commercial channel. There was no power for four days here after the storm. We had to walk down to the soccer park to use the public toilet there.
Good, that is the ship was empty, small damages, and she will get better and on the roll once again.Lucky. TH
My son and I were stuck down there that day and we could see the men swinging underneath the chopper it was incredible to see the skill and bravery of the rescue chopper teams
I have LOTS of pictures of the Hunter river flood.. Couldn't believe how bad that weekend was!
OMG this was so scary , I was stuck in Out Of School Care (OOSH) until 10:00PM on a school night. Ahh and it was really scary because I was 7 :(
I was stuck in oosh also
