Good chaplains are the most underrated soldiers. They train just as much as the others and are just as much counselors as they are spiritual leaders. A good chaplain saves more lives than anyone notices. Note I keep saying GOOD chaplains, too many are terrible.

People don’t understand that this isn’t a “miracle” that the Chaplain didn’t get hit, it’s because Millitary Clergy had legal protection and shooting one was against war crime. I guess the Germans could see he had a bible and wasn’t shooting back at them, so they left him alone.
