In your opinion for certifications, do you recommend taking a class or getting a book and studying then taking the test?

I'm so glad I came across this. I'm currently a high school science teacher in the UK. I'm tired of it. I have just started learning coding. I have young children, and I wanted to get certified for a job I can do from home. Nothing comes easy, but I want out of teaching.

I recently got my compTIA A+ cert which I needed five weeks for. Went into AWS cloud practitioner (using the cloudup for her option to get 50% off) but I’m honestly surprised at how overwhelming the amount of new information is. I’m thinking of doing something easier first like az-900 or an Apple cert before coming back to this. My brain needs a break 🤯 later this year I want to have network+ under my belt.
