The problme is that your battery is at 5% after that full-time job and you have to cook, to clean and to the house chores and you realize it's 22:30-23:00. Even if you postpone the house chores, your battery is still at 5%...

Sometimes ideas come outside of the regularly scheduled time. Therefore I would argue that this approach does not work for everyone, as each thesis is unique in its own way. We must be careful not to generalize PhD theses as some are much more difficult than others.

Thank you for this opportunity! I have recently suffered major physical, emotional, and spiritual trauma stemming from a spiritual practice during which I was not being attentive to possible dangers. It has brought great pain to my life and I am now battling for the full use of my right hand. While full use in the future appears highly unlikely at the present moment, I am hoping it will one day happen. This is my sacred intention. Because fire is at the root of my present problems, please do not include my sacred intention among those to be burned. It would add to my trauma. I ask that my intention be brought to the Earth’s attention by means of another element, water being preferred, air being acceptable. I am sure you will honor my sacred request.

Just a brief update: turns out I did NOT require a skin graft for the burns. Physical therapy continues and I am likely to have moderate use of several fingers within a few months. I enjoyed attempting the suggested meditation, but I urge extreme caution when dealing with fire. What was meant to be an evening of bonding with the elements has become a living nightmare. Please, be careful!

Just a small warning to those who choose to go ahead with the fire meditation: I tried this Tuesday evening and burned my hand severely. Hours in the emergency department and follow up today and next week, hoping to avoid a skin graft. Just please be careful!

I love this video. Thank you for creating it. I’m so attracted to the elements of the earth, never thought about bringing nature inside to create an altar. I will. And I have space in my yard to create a few outdoors as well, perhaps, with different themes, as I am inspired.
