Moose vs Man and his Sled dogs #mooseattack
The Norwegian Musher -Tore Albrigtsen- spotted a moose near the trail and wanted to let it pass in front of them...
Here what he stated in his mail:
"Had an unpleasant encounter with an angry moose cow today. I was out on a training run with a coffee stop at Kvaløya Husky. About 5-10 minutes before I got to Tommy’s, I saw a lone cow standing about 30-40 meters away from the trail. I stopped and thought I’d let her move off a bit before we passed… but that didn’t happen. When she saw us, she came right at the team with her ears pinned back, first trampling through my team, and then she continued to the team behind me, attacking both the dogs and me several times.

Hooked on to a big Steelhead on a tiny spinning rod [BC Canada]

This video was captured in British Columbia during my stay in spring 2024. While I was there to visit some good friends I saw that beautiful river with it's nice and clear water. This time I didn't bring any fishing gear to Canada but after a few days had past I couldn't resist and went to the store to buy myself a small spinning rod for about $40CAD. What does the cold actually sound like? Part #1

#shorts What a cool sound! My wife went out for a walk with our dog and took this short clip.
I can live forever in a igloo ❤
How do I put the top ones without it falling
Impressive, I want to make a walking bridge over a shallow river with natural materials. Great job, thanks for the info.
Terrific igloo. The time lapse is perfect. If this is your first, I'm really jealous. Yours is terrific. I made one over ten years ago. Kings Canyon National Park about 6400 feet (1900 meters) I didn't have any waterproof pants, so I duct taped plastic sheets around my legs. Looked insane. Cut the blocks with a machete (good tool for it). People driving by thought I was nuts, until it started to take shape. The blocks kept getting thinner and thinner as I went up... Of course I had to sleep in it. They drip. So more plastic sheeting over my sleeping bag. (Terrible music)
How does it not fall
The igloo is of course an arch. It takes a special kind of snow to construct one. If you live near water that doesn't freeze over in the winter, as I did in Michigan, the snow is always wet and heavy. Not once as a kid was the snow ever right. I heard the best snow is lee side of wind blown snow. ?? You want snow you can cut into a block. The density and firmness is sort of like marzipan, or sytofoam. To build it it has to be self supporting. So it follows the stone arch model of angle cut blocks. But it has to not fall down as it goes up. So it goes up in a spiral, each block being shaped with an angle so the next block doesn't just tip into the middle. Right handed? you spiral anti clockwise, so your knife can cut match the new block to the one already in place. (As in the video.) Nanook of the North shows good technique, there's also a National Film Board of Canada film that shows more detail. The idea to stay warm is that it blocks the wind, and a single candle, or just body heat will raise the inside temperature to the freezing point (32F) 0C. It can't get any warmer than this because then it will melt. If you do burn a candle, you'll need to poke a vent hole. The entrance here is just right. You remove blocks so it's in a trench which helps block the wind. A good survival skill would be to know how to construct at least the bottom courses. This would block the wind, which is most of the benefit. Some people in Michigan made 'igloos' by piling up snow, spraying water over the top and then digging out the interior. This can be dangerous if the snow inside collapses.
This is so cool
Nice For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.❤
So beautiful
From what I recall reading many years ago one of the things they would do is put an oil lamp inside the igloo this would cause the snow to begin to melt. After it had melted a bit then they would allow cold air to enter into the igloo and it would turn that water into ice and strengthen the igloo.

Trist ändå. Det var ett landmärke

Wunderschön!
Gänsehaut!
Super geschnitten! Trauriger Anlaß!
Nice one
What looks easy to eyes, is definitely not easy for the hands. I'm here despite never seeing snow during the years I have already passed but hopefully I'll experience it soon.
I have been hearing this sound from dusk till dawn my whole life and finally figured out what it is 😂
Man, I don't understand why people in the West are so fascinated with visiting warmer climates. Imagine living in a snowy country, where you don't need to buy a damn fridge and pay the excess power bills. All you need do is build a damn basement and store all your food in a hole in the ground that you can fill up with snow from outside for free. No excessive power bills for all the ACs or fans to keep you cool. You want warmth, just wear some more clothes - one time purchase only. Fuck, I swear I don't get why West likes to portray living in the cold lands as something hellish.
@FuZzOtagE Yeah, that sounds nice, but being from Texas here in the US it's just not bearable 😂 we are so used to the hot temperatures that I can't fathom EVER wanting to visit a cold country when I'm borderline frostbite from 65°F weather
Not from the west but from SEA this looks like pure death 🥶🥶🥶
I don't understand it either. I always love winters, unfortunately we no longer get those in Germany. Last winter was 5-15C throughout. To me global warming and the ever hotter summers are the true hell.
@@yomammaa I grew up in AZ, but have lived in IL for ten years. I don't even put on a jacket until it's below freezing. It took only about eight years of acclimating!! 😵💫 But I love the cold now. Way less soul-sucking than the heat.
"Hi im modern whiteson whiterson, and im gonna show you how to build an eskimo igloo the TRADITIONAL way!"
why are people on the internet so bitter? I got so fricking tired of the bs on Instagram that I thought "fuck it, I'll just watch something absolutely random like igloos on RUclips" and here this is. This species is fucked, man.

How do the blocks not fall inwards when you place them? Only by friction?
You cast a spell on the, with your wand of course. we learned all this in year 2 at hogwarts
It’s kind of like an arch but in 3d form. The top is curved, so yes friction partly keeps the innermost block from falling down, but since it’s angled, the adjacent blocks are partially underneath the center most one, on all sides, so there isn’t “room” for it to fall if the blocks are constructed correctly
@@daliguj221 Yeah but I imagined that you would have to put ice blocks on all sides at the same time to prevent them from falling inwards. Just like how you wouldn't build an arch without cement and expect it to not fall unless you somehow put all bricks in place all at the same time. I was asking why didn't individual blocks fall inwards when he was building it, not when the igloo was completed.
@@palapapa0201 while building yes it is friction. The angle changes gradually, and the snow needs to be densely packed and very dry. The blocks need to be the right size and shape too or they can fall in on themselves
I am planning to film a new video next week, where I will show in detail how it works!
so the idea is to slightly angle the blocks with each 'layer' ?
I am going to show that in detail with my next video!
Very cool! I have the creek and the logs. Maybe this summer I can get it done. Did you have any trouble with the water rising in the Spring and making the bridge unstable?
Thanks a lot for your feedback! No, I did not have any trouble with it during springtime.
My son and I have slept in a igloo in southern California. We were involved with BSA for a while and every year we would go up in San Bernardino mountains and find a location where it was deep enough to make the blocks. Great memories. One of my bragging points. Lol
Who cares?
@joeybaseball7352 obviously you do if you bothered to reply. 😂
Very nice to hear you made some good memories (yes I care!). There is a way of getting your blocks even if you don't have deep enough snow. I will cover that up in the next video (coming soon).
Richtig geil👍😍👌
