Do aftermarket VVT solenoids work the same as OEM? And is there a difference in performance from a Chinese brand vs American brand?

So my Corolla makes this exact Diesel engine sounding noise, only at acceleration, goes away if I let off gas. Doesn’t make it at idle either… Is it possible to adjust the valve clearance being it’s vvti? Or do I need to change the buckets valves? I just got this engine from a 2005 and still have the old head from the bad engine(rod bearing failure). So the question also I have is it better to redo the old head and do a head swap + head gasket? Or is it easier to just change the buckets with the head on? money is more of my issue, rather than time. I obviously drive a Corolla not a lambo or even a Lexus at this matter😅

I have corolla VVTI model 2017 mileage 84k kms. I have not track down the issue because engine seems to hesitate on acceleration for almost 10mins after cold start up in the morning and then runs fine the whole day

My 2jz engine has been running roughly at idle since a while with the same symptoms and I did everything from replacement to cleaning and paid a lot of money but never got the real issue. Now about 1 hour ago, I did ECU scanner and issue appear with this sensor and yes I'm here now knowing my issue. Thank you for the video and don't waste your time and money fixing everything, just do ECU scanner first, it's about 10$ in my country and sorry for my bad English 😂

Clickbait title, nowhere did you ever come close to answering why, you simply told the most obvious things about that particular block, and poorly at that.

If Turbochargers save fuel is pretty situational. A smaller engine is quite helpful in city traffic reducing frictional losses and overall weight. But if you drive those engines on the motorway they need to rev higher cancelling out the savings. In very small engines like 1 Litre 3 cylinders it can actually have an opposite effect as in high rev high load scenarios the engine might actually inject more fuel than needed to cool the engine and turbo charger. It also comes with increased wear and the turbo charger itself is in comparison to most other components quite prone to damage leading to expensive replacements. So it can also have a negative financial impact.

If I change both intake & exhaust camshaft sensor but still get a check engine light, does it’s mean I need to change my vvt solenoid? And how many do I get ?

if a vvt is bad can it cause a no start? i have a code and my car trys to turn over but nothing. I took it out to test and it dident click or clicked super fast, wondering if wiring on the inside of it is busted. its from a 2007 mazda 6.

i have an old landrover and it never had PCV valve and i can tell you right now people swear by PCV stopping the engine from sludging. and i have owned my landrover for 20 years and the intake manifold aint got one bit of oil in it and is like brandnew, the worst thing on engines is the PCV system ditch it and run the vapors to the road and you wont ever have carboned up valves and or choked up sooty intake and all sensors will stay clean thus preventing the need to have a cleaner applied to them at all. and sludging if the oil is done regular you wont get sludging what so ever.

Dirty engine Oil also causes the Dvvt solenoid to malfunction.Changing the oil on time is important.

My Nissan rogue, runs good until it warms up then it vibrates… no check engine light …scanner says vvt bank 1 fail .. could that be the same problem?
