Smothers Brothers Reunion February 1988
Просмотров 176 тыс.Год назад
A nice trip down memory lane, thanks to this 1988 CBS special. The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour was a breakout hit for CBS beginning in February of 1967 and continuing until early April of 1969, when the show was abruptly cancelled by the network. The show was original and quite daring for its time, outspoken on issues of the day like The Vietnam War and marijuana use. That caused some heartbu...

Dance Recital-Oct 1996 Salisbury Mall

McKenna at the old Salisbury Mall in October 1996 for a dance performance. Plenty of great shots of the mall before the days of online shopping - you know, when people left their homes to buy things. No internet, no I-phones, just people gathered in a crowd to watch their kids dance.

Little Drummer Boy Peace on Earth for Lorraine
These two guys were each one in a million. Their partnership lasted 36 years, and Mel would later say the day Jack died was the saddest day of his life.
Two true masters doing their thing.
Mel Blanc tries so hard not to laugh. They did this skit many times and knew the lines by heart so keeping a straight face was hard.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It sounds like Kermit the frog singing. The sound of It is so very beautiful and tearful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It was so cute
Running joke between my brother and I " mom liked you best"
Wow
My dad loves to watch this clip every once in a while. It never gets old. I always lose it when Mel Blanc does a Saint Bernard and sneaks in a hiccup!
2:30 You can tell that one probably wasn't planned by how slow the reaction was. I always found it fascinating that what Jack did when he first went to television was to essentially adapt the radio program. It was only a little later when he turned it into a regular sitcom. Also, Mel Blanc was an EXCELLENT comedic actor! Way under-rated in that department. Shoulda had many more TV and film appearances.
The like of these gentleman and comedic others will not pass this way again. We all are or will be the poorer. What we have today are mostly a poor imitation of the greats now long past. We are fortunate to have these recorded memories to enjoy and reflect on.
All the greatest comics are gone.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
My mother told me back in the thirties and 40s on Sunday night the whole town would be listening to The Jack Benny show and there had better not even be a peep out of the children
Now that's real comic talent
I'm 8o years old. I had forgotten how funny these shows were. Thank you
Love the way Benny cracks up at Mel's voices!❤
I can't stop hearing Bugs Bunny...
The golden age of comedy!!
He was combination of Jim Carrey and Rowan Atkinson in todays generation
I miss the Smother Brothers. They were so entertaining and made me laugh . RIP Tommy❤ Such a mistake to take them off the air. Mimi
All we are saying is give peace a chance. ☮️💜
It breaks my heart remembering that Glenn was already dying from a quart of Vodka a day.
Mel was a genius 😮
Loved u both
😂😂😂😂😂
20:35 Bryan Cranspendentergen! The commercial breaks are the real timestamp. Phone cards and 900 numbers!
As a kid I thought Dick was the smart one.
Absolute gold!
No one ,even a little close! The best comedians.
The first Barney Rubble voice is close to the “regular” voice Mr. “Gropff” is using.
To bad all the cartoons are computer animated not like it used to be Saturday morning cartoons
I'll Always Love you Little Miss Sunshine
Thanks for the full experience 😅 😊
😅 an old word.. interesting 😊
This is unusual because so very few people had video cameras. I was there for this and the fireworks later.
I miss that old camera quality
Live television without scripts or rehearsals. Just pure spur of the moment genius😂
Always enjoyed Jack Benny and love the imitations Mel Blanc can do. Thanks for the post. Joe S
I think this is the first time that I saw Jack Benny lose it! :)

😂 Jesus loves us All --Luke 18: 14
When comedy was comedy at its best.
Now I know where Dino Flinstone got his voice 🤣
Well, if it hadn't come on Sunday night I would have seen more of it. I missed Bonanza and Disney that way too. I probably remember what I do just because I was sick alot and had to be kept home from everything. But it's still pretty funny now.
Legends both. And yes, great friends and it shows in their laughter. Such fun to watch.
Comedic pioneers....The best of the best😊
As great performers know the space in between the words or lyrics are crucial to hitting home
Remained true to his identity for 35 years more. Quite a feat of ingenuity and innate humor.
Great trip...thanks! I do have to mention that, of all the interviews I've done in my radio career...Pat Paulsen was the worst one...one word answers...very disinterested in being there...maybe he thought he was in character...don't know...but it was bad...still...so many good memories from their shows...thanks again!
G. Is Polsion and bison related???😂
