I think this demonstrates why they went the direction they did. You did a good job, but I can't relate to the characters on screen like this. It looks like machinima. The movie makers want to make a movie, so it can't look like machinima. We need to relate to the characters, but how do they do it with square faces? I actually like what they did in that first trailer, it is weird and messed up and that makes it interesting. Maybe they need to make some adjustments in some way, I don't know what they could do, but I think they have a good starting point at the very least.

The Sound design is so satisfying

I've seen a lot of remade versions of the minecraft movie trailer and they are all pretty good, but this one by far is the best. It really captures the spirit of Minecraft and what actually goes on in Minecraft.
