Bentley Continental GT Speed review: a 2.3-tonne purple MISSILE
There's a reason why lightweight sports cars are better to drive than heavy grand tourers, and it's the laws of physics. Somehow, the Continental GT Speed defies them.

Porsche 911 Targa 4S HDE Review: more than just a sticker set?
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.8 месяцев назад
Everyone thought the 911 Targa Heritage Design Edition was a simple sticker pack with an eye-popping £136,000 price tag, but it’s so much more than that. The Heritage Design Edition is the Porsche geek’s 911. I know I’ll get some stick for that, because it isn’t a GT3 or GT3 RS, but it’s littered with Easter Eggs that only the nerdiest of Porsche fans will spot: the 1963 version of the company’...
2024 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo Review: can it take on the BMW M5?
Просмотров 4,5 тыс.9 месяцев назад
Taking on the F90 M5 Competition is no easy task. A Ferrari-developed V8 should be the perfect answer, but it is? I’m still not entirely sure what to make of the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo, over two years after driving one. On paper, it’s brilliant. Yes, the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 really does come from Ferrari, only the Maserati uses a cross-plane crank instead of the flat-plane you’ll find in a F...
McLaren Pure Review: can race driver training REALLY make you faster?
Просмотров 1739 месяцев назад
Can a 'normal' person be as fast as a racing driver? Probably not, but with some help from a pro driver and a whole load of patience, you can get a whole lot closer. Now, I've been on a few track days and even had a bit of driver training over the years, but nothing could prepare me for the ultra-in depth tutoring at Pure McLaren. Welcome to bootcamp: COTA edition. Watch my review of the McLare...
2021 McLaren 620R Reviewed at COTA: too hardcore for the road? | CAM TAIT
Просмотров 3359 месяцев назад
McLaren wanted to send off the 570S line-up in style, so it turned its GT4 racing car into a road car. Is the 620R too extreme for daily use? You might be thinking that Austin’s ultra-wide Circuit of The Americas isn’t the best place to find that out, and you’d be absolutely right. McLaren invited me along to try out its Pure programme (more on that in a later video) and handed me the keys to i...
2023 Porsche 911 (992) GT3 review: the best supercar you probably can't buy
Просмотров 26 тыс.Год назад
It's the bargain supercar of the decade, so why aren't we all driving one? Simple: you weren't invited. That's annoying, because you're missing out on something truly special here. Sure, it's an exercise in marginal gains here. A 510hp output from the newly improved 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six is only 10hp more than the 991.2 GT3, for instance, but under the skin are bits and pieces ...
Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 review: driving chassis 00 of 63!
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.Год назад
The car the previewed the V12 Revuelto and the company's first hybrid. Lamborghini let me drive the prototype... Well, a prototype in the sense that only 63 coupes were produced (and 19 Roadsters), but the plaque in the cockpit of this Sian reads: "00 di 63". It now lives in Lamborghini's museum in Sant'Agata, but I managed to have a go in it beforehand. We're talking 808bhp, 561lb ft of torque...
Original NSX (NA2) review: why it's STILL Honda's greatest supercar
Просмотров 2 тыс.Год назад
The car that put Japan on the supercar map. It was good then; a legend now. Like you, I was over the moon when Honda announced that a new generation of NSX was on the way, especially as I'd be hoping it'd be based on the V10-engined HSV that competed in Japan's Super GT. It wasn't, and instead took the form of a highly-complex hybrid super. A magnificent car in its own right, but noting could c...
Why the 2022 BMW M5 CS is the best M car you can buy today
Просмотров 2962 года назад
The M5 CS costs £40,000 more than the Competition, but lots of small upgrades have resulted in a huge leap over the standard car. Firstly, it's some 70kg lighter than the standard M5 Competition and while that doesn't sound like a huge reduction but that puts it at around 1,800kg - not far off a BMW M3 Competition xDrive. It also gets bespoke Pirelli Corsa tyres, new adaptive dampers, reworked ...
Why you should buy a Ford Fiesta ST150 over a Renault Clio 182
Просмотров 34 тыс.2 года назад
Back in 2017, I had £2,500 burning a hole in my pocket to spend on an iconic hot hatch. Here's why I went for a Ford Fiesta ST (Mk6) over a Renaultsport Clio 182. Most people would go for the Clio, because it’s more powerful and lighter than the Fiesta. It also had an incredible chassis, making it a bit of a b-road weapon. The ST, meanwhile, doesn’t really have much on the Clio, so why did I bu...
2019 Audi R8 Performance review: it's all about the V10
Просмотров 1425 лет назад
I wasn’t all that fond of the 2019-spec Audi R8 when I first drove it at the Ascari resort in Spain last year. I found the steering to be numb and the engine sounded as though it had been created with a synthesiser. However, the circuit was completely sodden and Audi set their test cars up with most driver mode active to prevent us from binning the car. This seemed to muffle the sound of the ex...
McLaren 600LT Spider POV - Arizona Motorsports Park | Driven
Просмотров 5055 лет назад
A first person look at the new McLaren 600LT Spider, which I recorded at the Arizona Motorsports Park in - you guessed it - Arizona USA. Apologies for the low camera position. This was my first POV film and I didn't quite get the angle I was after. Will position higher next time! Car review: www.theweek.co.uk/99728/mclaren-600lt-spider-review-is-it-just-as-good-without-a-roof-price-specs-rivals...
The only reason to choose a fiesta st over a clio rs,is that fiesta is cheaper and easy to find
What a beast. Not sure about those colour choices, wouldn’t mind seeing it Black Eye Purple.
Renault clio RS is the king of this category ❤
What's the fuel economy? That year looked better than the newer one. Wish we could get them in the US but Americans are pigeons and like roll over death machines (SUVs). Depending upon its curb weight 148hp is not really that bad. If it is only 2200 lbs, as it appears to be, 148hp should move it pretty well.
what a great review, very professional, baffled at the low number of subs
You have nice video but u start very wrong when u just compare it to BMW .. like comparing apple 🍎 to Orange 🍊 and start complaining the orange has sour taste in it and u have to peal the skin however the apple u can eat it without pealing 😂 Maserati all day
There’s a reason everyone went for the 182! The Supercharged Mini Cooper s was a better rival to the 182 than the st150. For me the only rival to the st150 was the Suzuki swift sport.
Of course it's better
Who said 4.3? Dumb mf
The usual bullsh.. about build quality, thank God Maserati kept the analog dashboard, instead of the creaky, cheap ipad sh.. Mercedes builds.
Finally a engine worth a swap. I would to put this in my 2013 granturismo... Those new granturismo with the v6 sound terrible..
Forza Maserati 💯🇮🇹❤️🥰💪💓
For this car, I would call it a refreshing of the 3200gt. But I've never driven anything like a boost controlled 3200gt. I have a 2014 Granturismo Sport, and I'm curious how you would compare them. I loved the video. I'm sure if you boost controlled the car, it would hit 780hp np and secure your 3.0 0-60.
I’ve literally just bought a ST150 after owning a Clio 182 and a 200. The Renault sport’s definitely are just that bit quicker , But overall a lot more expensive for like 20-30hp more as most of the 182’s don’t even dyno at the acclaimed horsepower anyways.. Maintenance isn’t cheap on the Clio’s either Belts and dephasers setting you back near enough £700-£800 from a specialist , Ball joints made of chocolate, The 197/200 suffer from Gearbox synchro’s crunching had 2nd and 3rd done again costing in excess of £600… So far the ST 150 has been cheaper to insure, Cheaper to tax and a bit better on fuel.. Also looking through parts a lot cheaper to fix and the parts are far more common to find. Timing chain also over a belt! Again they do have some common issues but from what I’ve seen not as bad or as prone to happen compared to the Clio, I think every single owner of a clio has had to fix the above issues at some point. Overall the ST 150 is definitely the best bang for buck, And really putting £1000 into the engine bay some intake mods, Cams , Exhaust , Map etc.. Would be a very healthy contender for not much spent.
I’ve owned my heavily modded Maserati GranSport, 420 naturally aspirated V8 built and designed by Ferrari…Maserati is for different people…nothing wrong with that….I wouldn’t trade this car for anything…to each their own. I am done hating.
Had a Clio, GREAT little car. Also had a Focus, Ka and Fiesta, all handled great but also all pieces of junk, specially related to built quality. Never buying the brand again.
the car does 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds. and that is very fast, not as fast as a m5 but hey it dont gotta be the fastest accelerator, that still dam quick
I am sorry but I think the Clio was a lot more characterful hatch. I remember test driving these when new and it didn't excite me whatsoever. It was also more expensive in Mexico than the Clio Sport. My Clio had automatic everything, really awesome headlights and the chassis was way more planted than the Fiesta. Maintenance wise is just the cambelt and using quality oil. There really not that hard to upkeep.
A good one is 5k now?
sorry but disagree. Dull car. It absolutely was a warm hatch. Mine had some decent mods but being n/a it was only pushing around 160bhp. the clio 182 was much more lively and had more grunt. I think the 182 was the better looking motor and i was always a ford head. The series 1 rs turbo on the other hand..proper ford hot hatch of its day.
By todays standard, its a warm/mild hatch, at its birth it definitely was a hot hatch. Only these and the clios had 2.0s stuffed into tiny cars. I agree though the clios are much better in many ways - but their price.
"Promo sm"
Looks great besides the stickers.
Recall reading an article some years ago, where they stated that the Targa was all the 911 to get, as it covered everything you needed for daily life.
What happens when those screens glitch out vehicles today are not all better or safter there're just more complicated to the point of discouraging the owner or tech from working on them
dont see many people going for the Targa, would definitely be the one id pick up if could afford one lol
Great to see something a bit different from the usual 911 recipe. Definitely a keeper if you’ve got the dosh!
Not a fan of the stickers but otherwise this is pretty much my dream car.
I thumbed you down BTW. I do it automatically for any RUclips video that asks for thumbs up. You need to earn it.
Wtf why are you so full of hate?
4.3 seconds!?!?!! My m550xi does it in 3.6. This isn't even in M5s league!
👏🏻 🏆
The principle behind Maserati and Porsche being in the same class lies in the entry-level prices of their cars.
@@zhouxia Maserati is the worst driving car I ever experienced..I was shocked that it came out of Italy. Alfa Romeo is leagues better in every way possible.
it can do 3.7 if you launch it well or 3.8

That’s a rare beast. Great video, keep them coming :-)
Fascinating! Can’t believe you did this. If you could take one other car round there what would you choose?
Would have to be something with downforce to make the most of the Silverstone-style sweepers at the start of the lap - probably one of Hamilton's old chrome McLarens! Go on then Dad, what are you taking?
@@camtait a Ducati - after a lot of training Road bike, a racer would probably be a bit too intimidating. (As for a car, maybe something like 911 RSR)
1000 euros is the tax to have a fiesta in Greece. They all sale the st s due to this hi tax
Not sure what they've done to that car, but it's very odd to hear your opinion on the steering. The direct feel and feedback of the NSX's steering is very commonly praised
Nice review 🎉
I have but 1.4. Its super car
Omg Clio RS fanboys got really upset in the comments xDDD "How dare you say that anything is good?! Only 182!! *autistic screams*"
Owned a 2005 model from new . Still have it and now garaged and used on dry days will never part with it . Been a mechanic for over 30 years and would never buy a french chlio no matter what the performance. This has taken us all over the world and back . To me that means everything as you wont see that from any clio . Love it its fun and you can tune to more than the chlio easily . Would buy one again in a hartbeat .
How's the fiesta in general as far as reliability and do they have any specific failings?
@@jord_2wYT Had mine for about 7 months so far, and its been perfect, done long motorway journeys, had nothing major go wrong, just a couple minor bits like my seat handle for getting into the back broke but i think thats a common thing and cheap to repair yourself
You have told us nothing new. You are late to the game. I want my 14 minutes back
This video is from 2021...
You cannot get allocations for the GT4 or Spyder since June. Porsche is only making the GT4RS and Spyder RS now.
I've owned my '96 NSX since 2009 and it's still as much fun to drive as the day I bought it. The driving experience is what this car is all about.
I really don't want to sell my kidney.
good video, i can't believe you have less than 200 subs 🤯 I subbed 💪
I agree, any 182 below 5k has been through the rounds.
I still enjoy my 91 nsx that i own since 2001. Very easy to maintain and bring smile to my face everytime I drive it.
In US the flipping is out of the question because dealers sell new cars with a huge markup. Once you pay taxes you're already upside down and there is no way to make a profit on that turkey.
Really intrigued by the mixed experiences of GT3 ownership in this thread! From the magic of driving a manual GT3 to the challenges of the allotment process, it's clear that the passion for Porsche runs deep. As for the manual vs. PDK debate, it seems like both have their merits. Cheers to everyone who's managed to get their hands on one, and for those waiting - may the Porsche gods be in your favor! 👍🚗
The head unit in the dashboard is the same as was in the car at launch - this 2005 car has the CD changer in the boot on the drivers side.
That color is awesome too
