Why it's important to have a local mechanic | ESE Powersports |
It's always important to trust those who work on your bike, and having a local mechanic you can count on is invaluable! Whether it be a quick visit to give your bike a check over, an intensive repair that could cost thousands at a dealership, or even just a phone call to ask about a funny noise...a local mechanic can save you the trip to a dealership or independent repair shop, and quite possibly save you a bunch of money on repairs! There of course will always be a need for dealerships and repair shops, but having someone you can contact at almost any reasonable time is by far the most comforting feeling when riding.
Thank you Chandler, for giving me a tour your shop, and for taking time ...

    I thought the bike needed to be leaning on it's side stand. I guess it doesn't matter? The manual does say to check slack while on side stand with no weight on the bike. Also, did you check the slack prior and then verify it was correct vs just moving the axle a tick mark or two? The manual states slack measured at the end of the chain guard should be between 51-56mm (2.01-2.20 in).

      I actually just got back from a weekend trip with it, logged about 400 miles with temps between 68-92. Between varied speeds, highway, stop and go traffic, etc it was fantastic. In traffic having the visor open was necessary of course... but on the freeway just having the center top vent open was enough for me. Others may want more airflow, so thankfully there's two other vents to open up top, along with the chin vent (albeit it's for the visor to help prevent fogging) I hope that helps! I also have the chin curtain on it at all times, so it would probably flow even more air without it

    Which would you recommend the x14 or rf 1400 for loud exhaust

    • @VintageSteeland700s_1
      @VintageSteeland700s_1 3 года назад

      I don't have experience with the x14 so I'm not sure how loud/quiet it is in comparison to the rf-1400. And noise levels from a helmet are subjective, so if you can I would recommend going for a test ride with both helmets to see how you like them 🤙

      The mirror is a motogadget classic mirror, and I picked it up from revzilla. There is a link in the description for them. I'd recommend the bigger stem, the 150mm one that I have doesn't quite place the mirror far enough out for me
