painting yet another one of my world of warcraft characters in vr | Vermillion
i've been playing too much WoW lately, so here's a painting of my main, faline! she is a fury warrior, and not nearly as sinister as the coloring of this painting would imply! she looks a lot friendlier with full colors, i swear!
this one took about 8 hours, and i don't know if it's just because she's my main but this might be my favorite one that i've done so far.

painting one of my world of warcraft characters in vr | Vermillion

i've been playing a lot of world of warcraft lately, so... yeah. this character was my first timerunner, and i just think she's neat! this painting took about five hours! i think that wow's art style makes for some really fun paint-by-numbers character portraits, though vermillion's color palette generator is really hit-or-miss when it comes to getting a decent color selection, so i've only had...

her name is criggy and she's the worst rogue azeroth has ever seen. i was miserable the entire time that i leveled her. i love her so much. this painting took about six hours. the paint-by-numbers generated palette was kinda trying to ruin my life, but i think it all worked out! i didn't even plan on recording this (which is why i've already done some painting in the beginning of the video), bu...

wyll my beloved ❤ this one was intimidating!! it took six different painting "sessions" over two and a half weeks (but only about five hours in total) because i kept looking at the horns and panicking and refusing to go on. but i finally finished it, and i'm very happy. buy vermillion here (seriously, do it, it rules): store.steampowered.com/app/1608400/Vermillion VR_Painting/ I Am a Man Who Wi...

frog wife ❤ this took about six hours, i think? i'm still trying to figure out how to get the best "paint by numbers" templates in vermillion, so for this one i tried a lower detail setting and just sorta trusted myself to make it all look right with the blending. i'm not sure how much of a difference it made in the final product, but it was fun! not sure why the spectator cam got all skewed, b...

using paint-by-numbers to paint one of my sims in VR | Vermillion

i took a loooong break from VR, and i was very pleasantly surprised to see that vermillion added a paint-by-numbers generator! i've been playing around with it a lot over the last couple of weeks (you can see all of my previous attempts hanging on the walls!) and it's been so much fun. i'm currently working on painting portraits of my favorite sim family so that i can hang them in their house, ...
can an absolute beginner follow a bob ross tutorial in VR? | Vermillion
Просмотров 65 тыс.3 года назад
can a buffoon with zero artistic skill successfully create a masterpiece, a la bob ross, in VR? this painting took just over an hour, start to finish. i skipped a couple of things at the end (a barn and a fence) because i was too scared. you can obviously see me struggle with basic things like circles and blending and colors, but i had so much fun, and i think that this is certainly one of the ...

😂😂😂
I don't remember if i watched it before or after buying my Quest 2. But this atmosphere is what make those apps magical! I know that i'm limited by my small living room space, i can control it. But at same time, i totally forget that i'm inside a virtual world. And i guess i'm the only one who uses the RUclips to listen to playlists while drawing! lol. In my opinion, Vermillion is more complicated to work with, as it won't forget mistakes so easily as Painting VR, for example, even though this app also won't let you do too many mistakes. If you watching never tested it out, you will never be able to truly enjoy it by watching a RUclips video, belive me! This is not what you might be imagining. You got to test it by yourself. If you're the person that always got yourself thinking about anything and tripping all the time, Quest will make you literally teleport to other worlds.
What game is this called?
Vernillion is a app for the Quest 2 or 3, a VR headset. There's some more, like Painting VR, which is the one i use more. I truly recommend!
Вот ради чего я хочу купить шлем виртуальной реальности... (That's what I want to buy a virtual reality helmet for...)
So cool.. wish could see a little more of the clip you following
Can you watch a video in game like the video implies?
yup! vermillion has a built-in web browser so you can watch videos and whatnot while you paint.
i struggle with details despite pressing B lol any advice?
i have a ton of trouble with details, too! one thing that kinda helped was turning the haptics way down (the vibration was causing a little "stutter" when i would touch the canvas), but other than that, i have yet to figure out a solution, other than to keep practicing and hope i get better at it 😭
very cool! i haven't seen many people using vermillion vr on youtube. may i ask how you get the paintings on the wall tho? i didn't know you could do that.
thank you!! you can hang up your paintings by just approaching the wall and pointing at it, and that'll bring up the options for it. there are different framing options and you change the appearance of the canvas, it's super cool for customizing your studio space!
Impressive!!
I can almost hear his voice when I watch this. "A little yeller... a little van dyke green... and let's give him a little friend... there we go"
This is absolutely fantastic, and your videos have sealed the deal on me gettinf this game myself Do you know if the non steamvr versions of Vermilion (like the meta store one) has this paint by numbers ability?
thank you!! and yes, they do! i believe you can import photos from either the in-app web browser or via USB, but tbh i don't really know anything about that process. 😅 have fun!!
@@therivermelody thank you! I look forward to seeing more of your work, if you choose to keep doing it :-)
That is amazing 😊
That is increadible, really nice work.
I ordered a Quest 3 and I'm waiting on it to arrive. Meta just had to have a sale going on. I don't even have the device yet and I already have this and Piano Vision.
Muito interessante. Devemos absorver todas as ferramentas que acrescentam e agregam valores a arte em geral. Adorei a experiência visual.
Você ja testou fisicamente? É literalmente de outro mundo. Se não, recomendo demais que compre um e teste você mesmo. Hoje em dia, está mais barato que um celular!
"absolute beginner"
Obviously not a beginner
i know this videos 2 years old but this looks amazing for a beginner
I thought i was the only person who watches bob ross and paints in vr nice to know that someone else does it and that im not weird
How do you not have the paints crossing over each other? i try and blend colors with a dry brush and they dont blend at all, one color goes over the other and i have to restart the entire thing
Fine, I'll buy it! thank you.
I did 2 paints btw ❤
Is beautiful
God I fucking love VR
Do they let you export your works to an image file format? This looks incredible! It would be cool to get them printed on a canvas and actually hang them.
Yes, vermillion does let you export to an image file. It also allows for your painting to be exported as a 3d object that can be opened on software such as blender.
Super nice!! I am trying to paint in this app too. This is very good.
Please how do you get the video up there while you paint
I have been studying Bob Ross painting since a kid I'm 40 now and I have learned a lot over the years and master my craft. And I have to say my friend for a first time that is beautiful. You did a amazing job. Especially on vr just makes it more impressive. You have talent my friend. Keep up the awesome work. Love the happy little trees 😆
WHAT APP IS THIS CALLED ON VR?! I have a vr headset but I can’t find it on there! Keep blowing this up so I can Know what it is!
Vermillion
How to also have open the video of bob ross
Just bought this but I can't get the "undo"to work, the tutorial says move palette hand left and right but nothing happens and I can't progress in the tutorial. ..
I like that it looks like it’s raining/snowing in the back left
pls tell me how can I overpaint without any mix colors? I am very confusing Help me ! From Japan
turn down the mixing in the settings to zero or paint on another layer its on the side options
@@yeeyee2739 thanks I think I understand what to do. Have a nice day ✋
I just got vermillion and my only issue is you can't actually blend colours on the pallete without changing every setting in game
there is only 2 settings
Anyone else sad she hasn't posted more videos? I hope you're okay... for your first video,27k views and 83 followers is insane! Would love to see you go far if thats something you were wanting 🥺
I know right. I post Vermillion paintings all the time and get maybe 200 views. I think I have more paintings on Vermillion than anyone on the internet. I simply don't get it. The tags or how they drive that many views. I have reached the point I get paid to paint and post but have yet to have anything major take off. I'm finding shorts has really helped in the past few weeks so maybe that's the trick. We shall see. ruclips.net/channel/UCJMgBdlYqUPCoJXu-kG33YQ
what vr headset did you use? because some headsets are not compatible with certain games. im looking to buy a headset and this game looks fun
Check out spray graffiti kings or whatever. Its a graffiti simulator and also awesome. This is on sale for another day and a no brainer
Absolute beginner my ass.
Love hoe you put life's good on the painting
This is supposed to be a beginner, not bob ross V2
Can I ask you what you did to keep the image looking stable without everything moving around when you move your head from side to side?
that's thanks to vermillion's spectator cams! the app streams a completely different view than what you're seeing to your desktop, which is what you can record. the default i think was the slow pan from side-to-side, but there's also first person (8:03, 9:36), and a close up view of the brush. the first-person views are the closest to what i was actually seeing while i was painting, though i assume it's stabilized a bit, since VR footage can be really unpleasant to watch without stabilization.
@@therivermelody Thanks a lot! I appreciate you answering my question. It was a mystery to me how you did that.
I don’t see that camera spectator icon on the menu that would give me the spectator view that you mention. How do I get that spectator icon to show up on the menu?
This is what I'm most excited to do when I get this app
Incredible
Wow, what you painted is absolutely incredible! Great job
Possibly zero artistic experience, but you're naturally skilled! C'mon let's be real here.
How did you get the 16:9 ratio?
Bought it based on your video alone, you deserve a little slice from their sales
Wow! Beautiful job!
This is unbelievable beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Can’t lie I think I like yours more
