    Only thing I do differently is in sequencing your steps - I make the actual bar length sizing cut first (instead of dealing with double length material and splitting it later), then the two dato blade end cuts BEFORE the thinning cuts on the planer. That way my "center" for the material thickness is consistent for both end cuts (fence distance to center of dato is constant) and only the dato thickness changes end for end. - then I run the material to the Planner to narrow the sidebar thickness on the bottom - then final step is to slice it into sidebars. Just feel like that is more efficient and easier to do measurements and adjustments on the saws. I don't use a dato blade on the table saw for my end cuts (I don't like placing material vertical on the saw) - I use a 7/8" (top bar groove) and 5/8" (bottom bar groove) router bits on a router table and since both have the same fence setting to center them I can run all of my material on a top end pass, then switch router bits and run the other end - all I need do is swap the bit and set the depth of the cut. Then last step of course to slice the material into sidebars. Good video though - your tool safety is well thought out and very repeatable.

    Machine a wedge to go behind your fixed jaw to change your nip angle Also IMHO your bolt on toggle mount is weak and probably flexing. a shim adjustment against a welded in piece would be more rigid. Still one of the better diy builds I've seen

    Good job making box joint supers and deeps. These will last 20 years and more. Pre-drill all nail holes, use water proof glue if you have it. It will seal the wood from moisture. A simple jig like this is all that is needed and keeping focused as to what you are doing so you don't cut the wrong part. Thanks

    I loved watching this cut out. It's annoying when you go to watch a cut out video and they don't show you the actual cut out. They just shoe you the start and then the empty cavity and then the relocation. Sometimes people click on a thumb nail that says cut out because, strangely enough, they want to see the cut out. Thanks for showing the actual cut out, although not in entirety. May I suggest you fil more of the up close camera footage? Or film all the footage up close? The up close camera footage is amazing because we can actually see the bee behaviour and their colony, brood, honey ...everything. That's what is so interesting, the bees and what they have created!

    • @pathofthebee2873
      @pathofthebee2873 5 месяцев назад

      Yes. I would replace all of the copper coated aluminum wire that comes with the winch for real copper. It failed quickly and was very difficult to diagnose 13 feet in the air. The other thing I would do different is the out riggers. I would just put a camper jack in each corner of the trailer and wire it into a self leveling module. Other than that I am very happy with its performance. Charlie

    Hi I have used the nicot system for years and had good results, but to get top results when you inspect your hives weekly save the Royal jelly from Queen cups in a small pot so when you have positioned your queen cups in your cassette using a cotton bud dip it in the Royal jelly and from the front of the cassette holes push the cotton bud covered in Royal jelly in to the cell touching the cup bottom and turn to add the queen jelly substance and odor into the cell bottom, this will increase your queen cell take by 50% more. Regards Paul.
