    you need to put preasure on the handle as you push the trigger... the fuel pumps have a sensor that tells them its 'safe' to start pouring gas. you will have the same issue when filling up those little RED GASOLINE containers.

    Great review. I own a 2009&2011 Z125. They cannot be beat as far as local commuting goes. Where a 50cc could not keep up and a 250-400cc is too big fight lane spitting, this bike excels. These are just quick enough to keep up with pressure traffic and high speed enough to hit slower parkways and highways in metropolitan cities. Hold on to these. They will be worth a lot in the future.

    Hello, YamaChicken. Now that I own a Zuma 125, I have over-filled my tank once. For the benefit of other Zuma 125 owners out there, this has worked very well for me. I turn the key on (don’t start the motor) just so that the gas gauge starts working. As the gas pumps, watch as the gauge goes up to the full part. This works whether an attendant fills your tank or you do, whether the pump has those vapor protectors or not.

    Hello, YamaChicken. I just upgraded my 2009 Zuma 50 to a 2013 Zuma 125 a couple of years ago. I really have enjoyed riding it. I’m sorry that you haven’t done anymore videos. I’m not sure if you’ve upgraded to a motorcycle, quit riding all together, or just not working with video anymore. Anyway, best of luck.

    Great scooter Only problem textured seat vinyl retains water after rain shower Seat angle is also sloped downward results in you sliding forward on nose of seat

    • @howlingwolf125y
      @howlingwolf125y 5 лет назад

      Good point on the seat angle .. Would be better if it would be sloped a bit less.

    Great video you are entertaining . Nice roads wherever you are, I ride a copy of a zuma because I can't afford a zuma, and I have no complaints about my bike. One question I have is whether you are interested in scooters, motorcycles or both. Your comment about the jeep that will never see a trail rang true to me because I see many big motorcycles being used as commuter bikes and they will rarely see the open highway, so for my commutes I really prefer the scooter.

    How long can you keep it at 55mph? Does it strain the engine?

    • @yamachicken1334
      @yamachicken1334 7 лет назад

      Noel Burger if is downhill or a straight long it'll hold just fine. The manual states to not go full throttle for a long time. But a minute or two cruising isn't going to hurt it

    That's a pretty cool bike! in 6 monts I am getting my own scooter a yamaha zuma I like these little scooters, a lot of people say that it rolls very soft and that it works very good! I really like traveling into places! it's a very fun toy to have! and I very like the colour that you have chosen it's a very cool colour! I will take between the colour black or orange! thanks for sharing.

    do you need endorsement motorcycle in order to ride it.Pls let me know

    • @yamachicken1334
      @yamachicken1334 7 лет назад

      binh ho outside of the U.S. I'm not aware of the laws.....most states in the U.S. you'll need an endorsement for anything over 50cc. Anything under 50CC, all you need is your drivers license. A temporary endorsement is super easy to get and lasts you for a year, but comes with restrictions. No riding at night, no passenger, and a couple others which aren't a big deal. For the permanent endorsement (no restrictions) you'll take a riding test, which was a breeze on this scooter. But check your local laws, don't take my word for it!

    I have a 2013 blue version and love it, but, lime you said, you beg for more. I now own a 2014 Honda Forza nss300, nut still like to ride my zuma. It is a bit more uncomfortable compared to my honda, but it costs way less. These are designed to where you can do a little bit of off roading, but I wouldn't recommend too much, though. I am planning on getting a louder exhaust in order to be heard while riding this. The only modification I have done is add a trunk and carrier bracket, but both match the bike and look like factory oem stuff. Thanks.

      Rick Rudge I'm going to be getting me a scooter was wondering if I get some advice when I first start writing it how do you break it in you don't go Full Throttle right

    • @rickrudge9349
      @rickrudge9349 7 лет назад

      Hi Edward Kinsey. I just noticed this comment. Sorry for the slow response. On breaking in a scooter; yes. No full throttle. I've heard that you should keep it at a quarter throttle. Others tell me that you should not keep it at the same speed; that you alternate the speed for the first 300 miles. Best of luck with your new scooter. 🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵

    did you say you like to ride with your highbeam on?

    • @yamachicken1334
      @yamachicken1334 8 лет назад

      +hodgism Yup! Your headlight is key to safety while riding. I've never had cars flash me during the day. Look at other motorcycles when you pass them, their running lights are very bright. The zuma doesn't have much to work with, so I go high beam. In the evening/night I will run regular beam.
