Removing an in ground electrical service. Kubota BX23s
That is good work and thanks for posting...I have been thinking about getting one of these to clear much smaller pine stumps, but thousands of them. Good thing this unit has a slip clutch.
If it kills the motor the clutch isn't adjusted correctly.
Hey Man this is the best video I've seen. It's real and everything goes just as it does in real life not like the sales videos. Great idea using the blower! Thank you.
I wonder, if the grinder is stalling your machine then you might have the clutch to tight or your rpms are to low. It requires 540 on the pto and 15hp at the pto to operate decently. I have stalled mine a few times but have found the sweet spot at were it slips just before stall.
You can sure tell when it is dull
I use the heck out of mine, a couple hundred stumps gone and counting…..
Defiantly getting one of these now!!! Leaf Blower..Great Idea!! Thanks for sharing ,
Title should have been 28 days later…next time start with a chain saw and save yourself 2 and a half weeks at least. Best wishes
It took about 1.5hrs to do both stumps. Not setting records, it was the first two stumps I’ve ever ground.
@@TractorManCollincut em low as possible but ya did a fine job sir
it literally ate that stump for lunch, im sold !
That second stump was so satisfying to watch back.
What rpm? Did u find works the best?
Tapped out. Max rpm. The BX23s only has 19 pto HP so you gotta use all of it.
How long did this stump take you?
So these two stumps took about 1.5hrs. The first one was the first one I did and it was big so it was a little learning curve. The second one only took about 25 minutes of that time.
Looks like youre able to get a pretty good size cut. I have a 25hp (19pto) and am curious as to how well it will perform. Thanks for the video
These where both soft pine trees so the cut was able to be pretty big. These where also the first stump so the bite where sharp. But I imagine harder woods you could still take decent cuts, just gotta go slow and let it eat.
Nice, just bought one. Finished setting it up yesterday. Ill try it out next weekend. Good job on the stumps by the way
Just gotta go slow and let it eat the stump. Don’t rush it and make sure you get that clutch set properly.
@@TractorManCollin I set it by the directions. Seems to be working well
What is the pto HP on your tractor? You would think that the tilt mechanism would engage before it killed the engine, but I hardly see it tilting at all.
I believe the BX23s has a PTO HP of 19. These where some soft pines in my property so I think the bits where really digging in in large chunks. Should be grinding some harder wood stumps soon.
Intriguing. Are they designed to only cut going forward ?
Yes, the teeth are only on the front of the wheel.
Yes the teeth are only on the forward facing side of the grinder. It also has a pivot that works in the same direction so you can severely jam it into anything while grinding. It will tilt and relieve pressure from the bits.
Thanks for the video, have been considering purchasing the same model.
I’d definitely Recommend it! I’m very happy with it.
Nice job! Amazing what these fixed grinders can accomplish.
I was surprised at how powerful the BX was with the grinder. Just gotta take your time and let it eat. Thanks for watching!
