Wrong. Your book approves of slavery. Deuteronomy 15 refers to how to the camp rules when you go out to war. If a slave of your *enemy* escapes to your camp you set him free instead of returning him to those you intend to fight. That's hardly a surprise is it? You're hardly going to meet up with the guy you intend to try to kill to return his property. Try explaining Leviticus 25 44-46 which condones owning people as property, which your children can inherit. And how there's a loophole for owning Jews as property in Exodus 21 2-6.
I am so glad I stumbled across this comment. Based on your isegesis and comment, would it be safe to assume that you’re either Atheist or agnostic? (You can stem from either of those branches per say). I look forward to contending against your accusations.
@@adrianjimenez6034 crack on then. I'm an agnostic atheist, and an anti theist.
@@ROFT Hey. Thanks for your response. Well, usually one is either “Atheist” or “Agnostic”. Can you define Agnostic Atheist for me? Thanks
@@adrianjimenez6034 agnostic means lacking knowledge, and can be used for various topics, though is usually used for this one. An atheist is someone who lacks a belief in a god or gods. An agnostic atheist doesn’t believe in a god or gods, and doesn’t know if one exists. A gnostic atheist doesn’t believe in a god or gods, and believes they don’t exist. (I am gnostic about some gods, but not all) I suspect you know what a theist is, however you can also have an agnostic theist who believes but doesn’t claim to know, while in my experience most theists are gnostic as they claim to believe and know that a god or gods exist, with many giving testimony of a personal experience as their evidence (which I would argue is not actual evidence). Also as I mentioned anti theist, that is someone who is opposed to theism, which in my case is because I believe it to be extremely harmful. Hope that clarifies things for you.
@@ROFT It does help to clarify your position, although I wouldn’t agree that Gnosticism and atheism should be intertwined. Let me ask - Where did we come from, and by what standard did we come from?
