2022 XSR900 Kelpi Full Exhaust!
Просмотров 29 тыс.2 года назад
Hi! So i did it! Picked an exhaust, same place I got the seat cover from, Kelpi Custom Moto from australia. I got their Full system with a shorty pipe, and man, it is a sweet exhaust! Came in three parts, the mid pipe even has a cat! I was feeling a little guilty about not having one, but now i don't have to! I'll just feel a little guilty about running it without the baffle. It's a little loud...
PUIG universal windscreen time for my 2022 XSR900!
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 года назад
Hi! I was desperate for a windscreen and this.. is a windscreen. Is it the best looking thing ever? Is it just okay like it says on the thumbnail? Or was that just a clever ruse to get clicks, and it totally disgraces my bike to the point where i chuck it (the bike AND the windscreen, to be clear) into the ocean? Watch and find out! Heres a link to where i bought it. www.cyclegear.com/parts/pui...
New seat cover time! 2022 XSR900 Custom seat cover install!
Просмотров 15 тыс.2 года назад
Hi there! So people have.. opinions.. about the seat. You may have one too! I sure do.. i dig it! But i don't dig the cover and lack of padding. Its ugly and hard.. so i bought a new cover! Skip to about 31:00 in for the final results. The rest is me pulling staples, then adding staples. Oh and i talk. And i just used the gopro mic which maybe wasn't the best decision. Also I hate time lapse so...

HI! I got this a few weeks ago, and i've got about 1500 miles on it so far. Just had the first service done, and i'm well out of the break in period. Time to rip!! I'll be making more videos as i figure out my camera and mic situation. What do you all want to see? Leave a comment like and subscribe and all that. You know the drill :D
quick ride on my 1996 CBR600 F3!

Just taking the bike out for a ride.. i missed the 1-2 shift a few times cause im wearing sneakers instead of my riding shoes. I was only planning on a short around town ride, but it was too nice and i went a bit further!
In THIS video, i open a box containing a skilsaw circular saw!

I guess you'd call this an unboxing video! Also, my first video! Kinda just a test, i was playing around and shot this. I just bought a house, and ive got a ton of stuff to do to it. This is just the start!
Darts flyscreen bracket was a 10 second instal job on my '24 XSR900.
You made 3000 miles? im at 240 on my 2024 and my back hurts now, the bike hits so hard...lol
This muffler, but the full length exhaust is what I want. No. Need! 😁
yes sir!
love the bike but that seat is so ugly .... hope they will make something else for this its such a stupid design
is that a s2000? 😛
Yeah! I’ve had that for a while, 215k and still going strong! Aside from the paint that is 😂
by the way, it seems like you got a different windscreen. What happened to the puig one?
Hahahaha yeahhhh, I had an incident involving me dropping the bike backing it out of my garage, and the windscreen tagged the door on the door on the way down. That one is a dart, fit for the xsr. A little smaller, but way better quality.
how do you like the quick shifter. I am new to quick shifter and didnt feel it was very smooth. Should I keep the sturdy throttle while I am up-shifting? I tried to release the throttle and it didnt work very well.
What quickshifter are you using?
Rear brakes should not have touched the exhaust. That was a big miss on Kelpi's part.
Hey Chris when you put it together you put the bracket on the collector on the outside it should be on the inside that's why it touches the rear brake
I am picking up my 2024 XSR tomorrow! I can't wait!
Nice, congrats! Take it on a few long rides to get the break in over asap 😄
Have you gotten a chance to tune this?
Nah, still haven’t. I want to, but it keeps slipping down my priority list. Plus other than the 2nd gear hesitation I have no problem with the way it rides 😊
@@chriswittman4975 I hear that! Money and times gotta be allocated to so many different things in this day and age! Why do I keep hearing people talk about that 2nd gear being less powerful than the rest?? I went home with a ‘24 mt09 last Friday and I haven’t experienced that phenomenon yet. Anyway, reason I asked is because I haven’t been able to come across a tuning shop that has maps for this specific exhaust yet. From what I understand, they come with a high flow cat while most other aftermarket exhausts do not. Things that make you go HMMMM
@@chriswittman4975 hey by any chance you’re running the baffle with the your kelpi exhaust Sir
@@chriswittman4975 you should tune it! Mines going to vcyclenut this weekend. He seems to know what he’s doing with these engines. Even has a flash for the Kelpi’s. I’m mostly looking to get more smoothness out of the bike and yes hopefully some more punch out of 2nd gear.
Nothing like an in-line 4 😊
hell yeah! i miss that bike..
Looks great was it worth doing? did it help?
Totally worth it. Didn’t make it more comfortable really, but I wasn’t too worried about that. It’d be easy enough to put a pad under it. But it looks 💯 percent better, and has held up great!
I have a 2019 xsr900...I did the carbon Akrapovic...It was popping loudly so I deleted all smog and installed the Graves block off plates kit...then took my ecu to a local bike shop for tuning...Its been 5 years and still runs great...enjoy!
nice! im getting mine tuned some day.. some day :)
need to be a little faster on that clutch,,,, letting it "slide" into gear will not be good in the long run
Ha yeah, after I was riding newer bikes I never felt as comfortable on that bike. I was about 20k miles in on my 2019 z900rs, so going back to this just felt.. not as safe. So whenever I rode it I rode pretty conservatively. I sold it a few years ago, still miss it 😢 hope the new owner is taking care of it!
Just so you know this video sold me on the bike and the pipe. Someone owes you some dong
nice! glad i could help :)
Now you just need a tune. :)
i knowwwwwwww, one of these days :D
Great video! It sounds sweet as a nut! I wish my 1998 f3 sounded like this!
thanks! the exhaust on this was just a cheapo slip on and was otherwise stock. you can do it :D
Any more vids with revs or fly bys with this exhaust? Mine just got through customs but is still taking forever. I need more sound !!
Man I swear.. more vids will be made! It’s nice out and I’m riding more again and it’s finally not raining. My excuses are running low 😂
@@chriswittman4975 no worries brother. Ride safe! Thanks for the quality content
Have you tried starting off in second, crf owner here
accidentally a few times, yeah :D i dont recommend it. itll do it, but its not really happy about it.
Have you noticed any heat or riding ergonimic issues with the exhaust being so close to your foot?
Nope! With the way it sweeps up I sometimes hit it with the heel of my shoe if I stand up, but mostly it’s not a bother. I asked the guy I was emailing when I bought it why it’s like that, he said for better clearance on hard corners.
I'm debating between this and the full custom reshape. Does this add much padding?
i think this looks a lot better than the reshape, but i havent seen one in person. and not really, but i also didnt add any. when you have the cover off, itd be super easy to put any padding you want in there. a thin gel pad cut to fit would work great..

1:10 looks like they upgraded the medium sized bolt and it doesn't fit properly with a spacer and can't tightened it properly without a spacer.
With such a lazy grandfather's driving style, it seems silly that it makes so much noise. So much noise requires a completely different driving style, - this just seems ridiculous.
Wait if my riding style is lazy grandfather, do I need to be doing super wheelies or like jumping Volkswagens or something? This is an amazing comment either way 😍
Привет из России! Что-то давно нет видео?
14:27 oh that’s awesome. My last bike was also a 2021 Kawasaki Z 900 RS café. I traded it for the 2023 Yamaha MT 10. I agree with everything you’re saying about the XSR 900. As I also test rode one of those and I absolutely loved it. But I’m very happy with my MT 10. You must admit though that the XSR 900 is way better in most aspects than the Kawasaki Z 900. I agree with you when it comes to the gauges. Especially the fuel gauge.
11:30 that comment just earned you a sub my friend lol
just fitted one and love it
I had one for 10 year's. A fun bike for sure.
Sweet Jesus, I just got this on mine, shorty, it's so loud that I am going deaf after 10 mins
Ha yeah, without the baffle.. I always ride with earplugs so it sounds perfect to me. Until I take a short trip or forget plugs, then I’m like.. ok this is pretty loud 😂. Super helps with lane splitting though!
Sounds great. Looks Ti??
Australian owner here, don't have any 2nd gear lag.
Just ordered this in black for 2023 xsr, sounds loud. I already got a headache. By the way, on the Australian site, the cost was 1400, and I just couldn't justify it then I realized its in Australian Kangaroos, so its about 1000 freedoms.
did you get it tuned? they set them up to run lean and this exhaust will make it run leaner. even if you just send off the ecu that will add more fuel. I sent off my xsr700 ecu, that made it ride so much better. then I had my 1050 tiger tuned after I decatted it and sc project slip on. the tuner said I was lucky something didn't seize. I go like the sound for five minutes then I'd put the baffle back in :)
Dosnt ecu change fueling if it runs to lean or what's the piont of a sophisticated computer?. I dont know just thinking common sense. Thanks dude.
There is a thing called the 12 minute tune for triumphs. where you start it up (no revs) and leave it to run for 12 minutes after the fan kicks in. the ECU is supposed to sort it out. but on the first dyno run my fuel was running at the limit of the chart the chart only went to 15 and my air to fuel was running 15. in the UK you can post the ecu off and they put a new map on it to run with the exhaust and a filter change only cost £150. where a tune starts at £350. a new map will sort out the juddering and make it run smoother with a bit more bhp. plus they can increase the rev limits and make the fan kick in at a lower temp.@@kangacrew540
check out Yamaha XSR 900 Leo Vince Exhaust Install + Dyno Tune and ECU FLASH that will explain it all.@@kangacrew540
Why you clutching
Hi mate, Is it possible to put the baffle in the wrong way? Got XSR 900 2023 with full shorty system, l got a bike mechanic to fit for me but when l got it back the guy said put baffle in, but it was very hard to fit and l wasnt sure which way it went in. But l got it in. So now l may have to pull it apart myself to see what he did.
I don’t know how this bike is so gorgeous. She’s like sexy petite woman with elegance and style and class and everything.
When do we get an update on this bad boy
have you fixed the problem of it being too close to your rear brake pedal?
Ha no, I just learned to ignore it. My heel taps it occasionally but it’s not a big deal.
I knew those streets looked familiar lol Dude, I live in Hercules, love taking that backroad through rodeo, then go to port costa through crocket and back through rodeo. I'm a new rider, I've been doing this route a couple of days a week to practice. Going out there today, love that it is so close. Found your video looking for reviews on the XSR900, ive always wanted an MT09, but decided to buy a more tamed bike to practice, so I ride a yamaha Bolt for now. But then I found videos on the XSR900 and I've been really enjoying the looks of it, the reviews are all super good. Still undecided if I'll end up buying an MT or XSR. I am still working on my video and audio setup, but try some ND filters. On this video I'm using an ND16 on my dji osmo action 3, it takes off a lot of that bright glare from the sun. ruclips.net/video/fCA4J2wXckE/видео.html
RIP Chris.
??
Ohhh mate that’s sounds amazing! I’ve been on the hunt for an aftermarket exhaust for my Mt09 and all the usual suspects are from the northern hemisphere and half are UE restricted and only stumbled by chance upon this Kelli brand . Dude I’m stoked with all their extras they do for these bikes. I’m from New Zealand, so these being from OZ is like down the road. An Akraprovik? Is $2320nzd compared to $ 1250nzd landed and it won’t have the sht kicked out it through shipping. Brilliant!! Ride safe. Oh and shout out to the vehicle that moved over to let you pass, obviously a rider at some point.
Even my grom feels fast on 4th at full throttle doing 55-60
I agree with the fake carbon how's the exuast
That is a mental sound... My loins can't handle it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have the full Kelpi system in my 2021 sxr900 I don't have the cat in my system
