As a singer myself, I'm absolutely blown away by her vocal control. I couldn't think of a better singer to represent FFXIV :) Also she's absolutely gorgeous!

Man the first half of this is addicting, i tried listenting to covers but the pro level vocals here are just too good.

I don't know if you still read comments on here Amanda, but I need to express how much this song means to me. I'm someone that is struggling with feeling things, especially crying, and somehow, just the warmth and validation I feel in this song... "deep dark, far away, I have heard your voice..." and "my brave little spark, how long you've wandered..." "now sing with me once more, share of your life." Just... making me feel heard, making me feel like my voice matters, especially since I struggle to speak up for myself and defend myself, I can't help but feel touched and cry and get washed over with feelings. And I haven't even started yet on the emotional weight that this song brings when considering the in-game events relating to this... All in all, I want to thank you for singing this song, it is truly a generational masterpiece, but the way you've performed, and continue to perform it is so unique. It will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you again, and may you ever walk in the light of the crystal, dear Amanda.

Question for the vocal coaches, is she singing in her, "head voice"? Is that why the voice sounds, "hollow" (which I love). Even though her mouth is right next to the microphone, it sounds like she's far away, so I was just curious.

I listen to this song literally every other night for my daughter's bedtime song routine and it continues to amaze me. The writers did such a phenomenal job with the lyrics and Amanda, come on! Perfection. :)

I know I'm late, but ffxiv got me through such a rough time in my life when I was severely depressed. I couldn't stop crying when I first got to this scene with saying goodbye to Hydaelyn. Fast forward to the present; i had preordered dawntrail but again I've been too depressed and stressed to sit down and play until last week, shortly after hearing my father passed away. I didn't get the chance to show him ffxiv but I know he would've loved the world that was created. And now after all this time this video surfaced on my page and it brought me to tears again. This is absolutely incredible ❤

Late to the party, I know, but I only started playing FF14 in 2023. Amanda you said you had to cry out all your tears before you recorded this for Soken, my question is we all cry every time we hear this, how do you not cry every time you're asked to perform it? 🥲🥰

Got to hear her sing this live today at Distant Worlds in Seattle. It's crazy to think that she sounds so outstanding in the recording but live was so ephemeral and transcended. Her voice is so amazing!

You literally have my dream job. Ever since I started playing Final Fantasy as a child I've wanted to play the music and be part of the choral pieces in the games. When I was in high school our director let me put forward the hymn from FFVII Advent Children as a song a few of his senior singers sang in competition. Our school swept the awards that year and got 1st overall. It's beautiful. The jazz influences in Japanese composition also harkens back to the vocal jazz groups I emulated growing up in groups. New York Voices, The Real Group, etc.

I cannot tell how much deep into mi soul you got into me . Not having a mon or a good dad make mi love and pain playing ff14 was soo cruel and beautiful . But your voice it's that make it all happen . i've being playing video game since 1985 and it's the first time i go out and chek too see who was behind that angelic voice , and wanted too say thank you from the bottom of mi heart . Too give me that illusory feeling that only a mother can give .

Hearing you sing this live on Zoom during the Patreon days were some good times. Even with the mic cutting out from your voice being so strong/high. Those sessions helped me through a hard time in my life.
