For me the most frustrating thing is turning lights on and off about a million times checking the doorknob to make sure that the door is locked 80 times and then the worst thing is the incessant thoughts that come into your head the intrusive thoughts very frustrating very annoying no way to stop them

I grew up watching relationships and sex weilded more like a weapon and business proposition. I didnt decide to lose my virginity until 17. When I started dating, I dated chicks who were fucked up from my neighborhood. So in my early 20s I "dated around non committed" all that happened is I wasted money. I put a lot of notches in my belt, but hurt a lot of women. One or two were great partners. I was afraid of commitment l, so I avoided it until I got with a chick and she got pregnant. I loved her, but she cheated on me relentlessly. I stayed for a bit cause of the kids, but it didn't help. But, after that, I knew I didn't want to fuck the world. I just wanted one good woman. And I was willing to risk being hurt again. I knew that was okay, finally after coming out the other end with kids in tow. I dated again with purpose. Spent about a year vetting anyone id date. Had a few bad relationships still. But I was able to get out before big issues. At age 33. I finally met a woman that passed the year long vet test. We got married two years later. I'm almost 38, and we've been married 2 years. She's awesome. Don't give up. Don't hurt others, you just hurt yourself. I met good women that were worth my time and effort.

i had one fucked up relationship when i was 17 to 18, since then i've always cautioned myself when it comes to new relationships or even getting intimate with people because i don't want to fall into that kind of relationship again, obviously i didn't stop intimacy cold turkey but after 2 after her it dawned on me that intimacy is only gonna be good if it's with someone that is gonna reciprocate and be as into you as you are into them, and since then i've looked for that but nobody have ever gotten close to showing me those basic qualities i want from someone. have i wanted to? sure plenty of times, but always that nagging bit in the back of my mind telling me it's not worth a bit of intimacy if it's gonna be trash.

My last relationship, 38 divorced a year, lasted 4 months because his mother got sick & he couldn't take care of her & live an hour away from me at the same time. Which is fine. Idk why we couldn't keep it going & I could just help him with her. But oh well. & the current man I am talking to is 30 & is stable, own place, makes a good living. But is recently divorced & has a baby on the way. We've all been hurt in so many ways. It's so hard getting back out there.
