Very nice car.

Cheers, Ron. *_1962 JAGUAR MK2 5-SPEED MANUAL - 611WK_* This MK2 was personally imported by me as a rust-free example from California, USA, in 1991. After 3 years of use I decided to convert the car to “Right Hand Drive”. This then developed into a full nut & bolt restoration of every aspect of the car over an extended 19 year period. I have fallen asleep under the car at least twice. The car was put back on the road in July 2013. Some of the work carried out listed below : • Full engine rebuild with cylinder head unleaded conversion • Conversion from 3-speed automatic to 5-speed Getrag manual gearbox • Differential and rear axle full rebuild • Power rack & pinion steering conversion (also from LHD to RHD) • New front & rear springs and 4 x Gaz adjustable shockers • New front & rear suspension bushes • Uprated front & rear brake calipers (Zeus) • Uprated brake servo and full brake system rebuild • Kenlowe electric fan upgrade • Upgrade from dynamo to high capacity alternator • Solid State Electronic fuel pump upgrade • High Torque Starter • Rewire and conversion to negative earth • Full interior wood-trim strip, re-veneer & re-lacquer • Moto-Lita Woodrim Steering Wheel • Chrome dials upgrade • New headlining • New interior trim • New carpets • Inertia Seat Belts fitted (front) • Daimler XJ40 electric front seat conversion • Full re-chrome bumpers, trims, handles, top door frames and 'leaping cat' • Lighting upgrades • Stainless steel exhaust system • Full boot carpet trim upgrade • Competition style triple-spoke chrome wire wheels & period Pirelli P5 tyres • Full repaint in Sapphire Black Metallic I would like to think that I did everything myself, but I really must thank the following people for their valued support and input : Car repaint : _Rab Macdonald, owner of RM Bodywork, East Kilbride_ Engine rebuild : _Vinnie Coia, Bothwell_ Conversion from automatic to 5-speed manual : _Alistair McMillan, Motherwell_ Woodtrim restoration : _Chapman & Cliff, Nantwich, Cheshire_ Interior trim & carpets (supply) : _BAS International, Cwmbran, S.Wales_ A special thank-you to friend and fellow MK2 owner _Colin Ross_ who helped with electrics etc and indeed pushed and dragged me over the finishing line.

Beautiful Mk 2 models here. That first black one was the same age as me, a `62 baby, I`d have to have it if i won the lottery. Dream on!

20 million pounds... Does it have reverse? None the less, probably THE most Beautiful Machine ever designed by a human. I would give that for it...

You have to thank John Siddeley for allowing William Lyons to use the 'Jaguar ' name instead of SS , The Armstrong Siddeley Jaguar was a successful Aircraft Engine of 14 cylinders twin row radial .

Sounds great- but It would never be confused with something beautiful. The F-Type is a corpulent lump. It's too big, bulky and the rear end on it is huge. Designers have lost the ability to design svelte, beautiful, elegant cars. Park it next to an E-Type and all it's shortcomings in terms of design would be immediately obvious. The era of beautiful cars has passed sadly........

The 2015 F-Type R is a classic. Only year for the rear wheel drive at 550hp supercharged too. A bit squirrelly though when you accelerate at higher speeds. Not for the faint of heart.

If only the cameraman went a bit slower and steady with a tad more grace then pace, I could have enjoyed looking at this beauty even longer. The dimensions and the tires / wheel arches are nearly perfection. The front of this car almost looks whimsical just like all the drawings. More like a painting or brochure of the car then it in real life if you crop out the background. Truly stunning. I really need to put on my calendar to go see these cars and speak with their owners. You just don't get a chance stateside to see a group of these majestic darlings around.

I heard this at a car event in Coventry. It was in the ground floor of a multistorey car park, which had a great echo. When it was being revved up, the sound was deafening! Fabulous! I understand it is the only Jaguar V12 engine with a double overhead camshaft on each bank.
