Wholeheartedly agree about “Look at me Now” No idea why so many people act like this is a good song. That beat sounds like a joke and the entire premise of the song is obnoxious.

There were honestly a lot of bad ones but yeah the standouts to me that aged terribly are definitely lmfao and 3oh!3. And anything with dubstep, which was weirdly enough most pop songs for a good year and a half there…

Frustration is to a point it becomes dangerous to everyone around me at all time, so this is such a bad idea to play that... I just wanted for it to be enjoyable, I love such procedural games, and there's none.

Also watching this is making me appreciate how much the devs actually did to guide players in the general direction of their goal, like he's getting no help from chat and yet can still find his way through the game because he's being observant and approaching it on its terms, I think thats really cool

The reveal that Shoreline leads directly to underhang as Saint absolutely blew me away. I sat there for a good minute in shock while my friend who i was in a call with asked me what went wrong. Just describing the emotional impact of rain world really can't do it justice, it's that good.

This hit me in the gut. I played through all of rainworld not because of story or humbling gameplay, but the challenge. The satisfaction of finishing something difficult. I was so focused on perservering that I never felt anything that you talked about. The fimiliarity wasn't there, only anger and rest. Basic survival. The very things that tied all the creatures to the cycle. I even ruined the discovery of rainworld because I had learned about most the creatures before I had shelled out the 15 dollars. I was so amazed by the lore saint brought with his ending, the satisfaction of leaving the world behind, it didn't click to me that saint was defying me until this video. He was never a stupid animal or a defiant rebel of the worms. He was a slugcat with dreams and ambitions, like all the others. He was just the first to defy the random god on the other side of the screen.

Firstly, you clearly put in a lot of effort into this video, that’s awesome. Only gripe I have, music doesn’t have to mean something or have a “take away”. That’s the beautiful thing. Sometimes it’s just fun. Yes, the club bangers and EDM hits, when thinking about them from a musical perspective, aren’t great, but they are great at what they were made to be. Background noise for parties. It’s not a meaningful role, but party culture is alive, so it’s a still a pretty significant one.

like a decade ago when I was at a prep school, one time there was a trio of girls who sang Photograph together with a slideshow of pictures at a talent show. They were all best friends, pretty much growing up together, so the pictures were from when they were like 3 until their current ages, think they we’re 4th graders at the time so about 10. Only thing that makes me sad about this video is the lack of Shut Up and Dance, my favorite hit song of the 2010’s! Other than that, amazing video. I love that I don’t have to agree with every inclusion on here to appreciate the content. It’s also nice to see lots of hits on here that I love but would not expect to see on a list like this!

Need You Now is one of my personal favorite songs of the 2010s because I'm a sucker for songs about a split couple that wants to see each other again (or one of them wishes the other well) lol Back in 2019/2020 I also would have said Take Care by Drake is one my favorites of the decade, now I'm not so sure lol like its my favorite song of his but its not as fantastic as I remembered it. (For the 2020s, so far there's only one song I've declared as one of my favorites and it's Happier Than Ever) Edit: there IS another song out there that sounds similar to Lights, Lolita by The Veronicas

Man this list was like complete catharsis for child me. Hearing you validate songs like Party Rock Anthem just makes me go absolutely wild. Pop music was fun, and it was dumb fun in the 2010’s. It’s incredible hearing someone (creature? bird? Google didn’t help) love pop music for being pure fun as much as I did when I was first discovering it.
