Grade isn’t that important. I got 97 percent in my high school in Canada . I got in to Yale , Cornell , Columbia . I got waistlisted by queen university in Canada , a school that isn’t ranked above any of school I got accepted in. So don’t be sad , school has their own standadd( by the way, I got into queen)

LSE are insane! They rejected me last year for my GCSE maths grade-which was bizarre considering I applied for POLITICS lmaoo

One common difference that I tend to see on international applications for the UK universities is on the extra curriculars. Perhaps it's not briefed anywhere, but going into the applications for the top schools with an all-rounded general list of extra curricular activities is something that will get stomped on by those who list only activities that are relevant to the course and/or career. Some of these universities are insanely competitive, both for domestic and international applicants, and assuming that everyone is coming in with top grades, it starts to boil down to a battle of enthusiasm and commitment, and this is where specialised lists pip the post on generalised lists.
