How to remove a BMW alloy wheel centre badge
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.8 лет назад
Just a quick video showing the easiest method to remove the centre badge from a BMW alloy wheel. Should be the same for most BMW wheels. The suction cup thing that I used in the video can be obtained from a bathroom soap/toothbrush holder that can be bought for a couple of quid. Certainly worth every penny considering the time the wheel taking off method takes and risk of scratching the paint i...

Asus ROG Eagle Eye GX1000 Gaming Mouse Unboxing
Просмотров 12 тыс.10 лет назад
This is my very first unboxing video on RUclips. The reason I made it is because RUclips hardly has any unboxing video of this very item and the only few there are, are of shoddy quality and lengthy. Do excuse me as I did a one handed unboxing and for it not being too informative. If requested, I shall make a review of the mouse which I have noticed is non existent on RUclips. Thanks
Hey, i recently acquired the same car wuth the same wheels and was searching for spacers and came across your video. First of all, thanks for making the video, 2 things. So I see you went one bigger profile for the rears (35 instead of 30) and honestly, they look better, the 30s are like rubberbands lol. Have you driven your car fully loaded with passengers and luggage? Does it scrape or bottom out on harder dips?
@@mudasr the bigger size tyres on the back was actually a rookie mistake. When I changed the tyres the first and only time so far, without realising that the profile is not a static number but actually dependent on the width, I asked for 35 all round. Regardless of how thin they may look, at least they visually matched before I replaced them. To answer your question, even with the slightly higher profile on the rear with the spacers in place, I've had no rubs with 5 people in the car going over humps.
For the front wheels, did you use the extended wheel lug nuts or the standard origional lug nuts?...as you did not use spacers on the front...
Used the original ones otherwise they would go through the hub. The only caveat is that I have to carry two different unlocking lug nuts. I could get the two spare locking bolts cut but didn't bother.
I've got the 172 Spyder alloys on my E61 and I find that they touch the inner wheel arch liner when the suspension is jacked up and in full droop. They are fine when on the road with no rubbing but I just wondered if you had any similar issues before you fitted the spacers? Originally I had a set of non-BMW 172 style copies and they had a 10mm additional offset but when they got cracked and I bought a set of genuine BMW refurbished wheels, that's when I had this rubbing problem in full droop. Anyway, it sounds like getting 15mm spacers is the way to go and will cure my problem as well as looking much nicer. Thanks for the video.
With the genuine Spyder wheels on the correct axles without any spacers shouldn't rub on either side of the arch lining. I didn't have any issues with the spacers, let alone without. I know the e61s have air suspension on the rear wheels. Perhaps those have something to do. I had 4 people in the car with boot full of my son's stuff when dropping him of at his university. While hitting some bumps, I could feel the suspension kind of hitting rock bottom but there was still no rub on either side. That was with the spacers though.
I hope you are doing well
Thanks for showing that.
Thanks for that video. I was trying to decide wether to go wwith 20 or 15mm spacers. Thats decided it for me 👍👍
I glad that it was of help. When I did mine, there was no information available for this combo.
@@aam77 My car is exactly the same as yours. I'm goin to powder coat my rims in anthracite. I'l post a pic when they are done 👍
7:15 Looks like the front could use 5mm. I think that would make front and back even more balanced. But as far as I know, 5mm spacers don't come as hubcentric, so it would depend on your rims whether or not you'd have enough hub left to safely install the rims.
5mm ones are not hub centric and I know people who have had wobbly front wheels on these rims.
@@aam77 I know. But like I said: depending on the shape of the inside of the rim, you could be lucky and have enough of the car's hub left for safely mounting the rims. My OPC rims on my Opel Insignia have a 'fase' (Sorry, I don't know the english word) of about 5mm, which means that they only "use" half of the 10mm of the car's hub. So mounting 5mm spacers would not be an option for me.
Any rubbing, it looks like the wheel is stick out a little too much. If you have 2 people in the back it might rub going over bumps.
Thanks man i have a e60 M package with 18 inch wheel yes it’s fit perfectly not less not more ! 👌
Thanks for video. I bought a used E60 with BMW 128 Style wheels in 19". Installing coilovers and no info on what size spacers. Seeing your setup helped... Much appreciated... Peace...
Thanks for the tutorial. now i will have to buy a bmw to make it useful

I buy 172 wheels for my e60. And i have problem about tires size so i found you. Can i buy 235/40 R19 front and 245/40 R19 back? Help
The recommended sizes are 245x35 on the front and 275x30 on the rear. If you go for the ones you mentioned, the profile may be the same due to their width but the width would still be narrow. May give that stretched look buy not sure how good it'd look on these wheels.
What size are the tires on the video. I saw rear end 275/35/19 but the front ? Thank you !
screwed lenght ?
I'm not sure about the length but it'll be easy to work out. It'll be 15mm (Give or take 1-2mm) longer than the ones on the car.
Are those rims aftermarket? how much you paid for them ? very nice vid
They are one of the options for the M Sport E60. Mine came with them.
Front tire sizes?
Fronts are 245 X 35 X 19
Hi what tire sizes u use?
On the rear it should be 275 X 30 X 19 but I'm using 35.
@@aam77 and the front? 245 X 40 X 19 ? any rubs?
Roll the fenders to prevent rubbing also what are your tire specs?
I own this mouse for 2 years now and the wheel is starting to malfunction. For a mouse at this price range, it is not acceptable. Maybe it's just some dust inside the mechanism, but as you can't dismantle it, I had to buy another mouse... Just unaceptable, will not recommend it to anyone This time, I bought a mouse that can be dismantle. And I would encourage anyone to be very vigilant with this caracteristic of the product
I have this mouse for about 6 years and I had no issue with it...
@@franciscovieira7059 Lucky you
I've got 18's on my E60. Would you recommend sticking with 15mm spacers
Sorry it took me so long to respond. If the gap between the arch and tyre is similar, then it should be fine.
Very accurate information. Thanks
Where did yo buy the Bimecc spacers from and do they come with the spacers?
Just do a search on eBay with "bimecc" and the spacer size and your car's model. There are different colour combinations and also locking wheel bolts. You can get silver spacers with silver bolts or all black or mixed. As you can see I went for the silver spacers as the hub is silver and black bolts. They all do come with the extended bolts if that's what you meant by your second question.

mine stopped working all of the sudden. only the scroll lights up. tried - drivers, disable usb and find it again. nothing else seems alive despite the scroll light. any ideas?
I'm sorry yours is playing up. Try on a different computer and see if it works. The driver is needed only to make changes to the mouse.

So the strange thing is that apparently one company actually makes D5 pumps. The comapny is Laing. They resell them to Swiftech, Alphacool and a few others I think. If you try and buy one from Laing they ask way more than the resellers sell them for. I've had numerous D5's. Swiftech and alphacools. Well I had one fail way soon and I think it was a manufacturing issue but the company spoke gemran so I gave up trying to resolve the issue with them.On the bottom of the rotor whrere it sits on the ceramic bearing you can see where the mold wasn't perfect and it wore out and just through it off balance and that;s all she wrote. $100 fans aren't cheap but I've got thosands of dollars worth of hardware so what can you do? They don't sell replacement rotors either cause they know that would be too cheap to sell us. BS if you ask me.
MikeyMystery45 I know Laing are the manufacturer of the pump and other companies simply re-badge them like the graphics car market. That being said, Laing makes two types of D5 pumps. One with fixed speed and the other with a speed selectable switch. This particular one however is engineered by aquacomputer and they have implemented an software selectable variable speed via a USB cable that connects internally which I found neat and ingenious. As for your issue with the pump, I think that's just sheer luck. You're bound to get one bad apple sometimes, much like I did.
I love my D5 it's such a reliable pump.
HansensUniverse my first one died but it wasn't the pump's fault but of the extra bits added by aquacomputer for software speed control and monitoring. Second one has been running for the last 3+ years.
Been having mine for 2 years, runs like new, i like the simplicity.
Looks like a 91-96
