S1000RR hepco becker Royster bags after 2 years

After two years of daily use, my bags developed an issue with the zipper where it goes around one of the corners. After contacting the USA hepco becker representative, they decided to send me a new set of bags. You cannot ask for better customer service than that. They make a lot of nice products and with this kind of customer support, I can't speak highly enough about the company.

Deals gap and Womens sportbike Rally 2017
Просмотров 3067 лет назад
Lots of riding with friends for a few days in North carolina, near deals gap and the tail of the dragon. This coincided with the Womens sportbike rally - east. This also happened to be our escape from hurricane Irma. Willie an Rayner rescued Cliffy from Savannah and brought him to us in the mountains. We got to do tons of amazing riding and hang out around the fire, too.

I go over the majority of the accessories that we have installed on our bikes. We had a pair of 2012 model year and had mixed accessories. This time I knew exactly what we wanted. Maybe this will help you decide what to get for your ride. The list: From Hepco Becker: royster saddle bags, sportrack tail plate, street trolley tail bag, magnet mounts on tail plate. Other items: kickstand pad and t...
Some Billiards by Tim at Snookers

Tim makes a few nice Billiards. We play 3 cushion billiards, pretty much every Saturday afternoon at Snookers in Livonia, MI. The billiard table itself has an interesting history. It is from Japan. It's the only one I have ever seen in this country. Raymond Ceulemans won two titles on this table in the late seventies. He signed each side of this table after winning each of those titles. S1000RR Luggage, Hepco tailbag

I finally managed to find a couple of the, out of production, trolley street tailbags from hepco Becker. They are awesome bags and lend themselves perfectly to hepcos magnetic mounting system.
2016 S1000RR Luggage and walk around
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.7 лет назад
Just a quick walk around since adding most of the aftermarket parts. Gilles crash pads, Hepco Becker luggage and tail plate. Wunderlich tank bag. PUIG windscreen. throttlemeister bar ends. Woodcraft skid plates. Kickstand foot widener. SW motech mirror wideners. Basically a lot of expensive little things. Not completely done, yet.

Big brain
Hi, please how did you do it? 🤔
Pretty obvious. Buy c bow carrier for your bike. Buy c bow plastic mold mounts. Buy any blaze bag set from eBay or wherever. Bolt mold mounts to blaze bags and hang on your cbow carrier.
nice hack
Where we can find this ?
Maybe side car
It’s go touring bike
You mention that you had the Blaze bags, which do you prefer and why? Thanks!
The blaze bags are fine, they actually hold more volume and I did make a hybrid version for longer trips. I used the hepco mountings and married them up to a set of blaze bags. Currently, a set of those resides on my wife's bike and i still use the hepco daily.
@@tiger37373 Great, thanks
i realise two years ago, but what do you mount on the seat rack? Its got two H&P brackets?? Cheers.
Hepco used to make a really nice trolley bag. So, I set it up so it rides as a tail bag and just clip it on and off with the magnet mounts.
@@tiger37373 thanks for reply. trying to find a solution . i want a 20ltr or 30ltr bag to fit the seat rack
@@billybean7488 ruclips.net/video/kiLA1MrAcFE/видео.html
Like your video sir very cool what about the exhaust now upgrade towards that
That is a brilliant and super cool idea!! That totally solves my problem (I like the blaze panniers but prefer the C-Bow mounting system). That is what I will do, thanks a lot. And I will even forgive you that upright video... 😂😂😂
Can you fit a laptop?
Unless it was tiny, no.
Do you have any top case for this. Looking at getting a set for my wife’s ninja 400
I have a trolley bag, which I modified with a couple of their magnetic tank bag mounts. Unfortunately they don't make that trolley bag anymore. Sad, because it is the best tail bag that I have used. On previous bikes we had a bag from SW motech.
Does a helmet fit there?
The bags would need to be more than twice that size to accommodate a helmet
@@tiger37373 Thanks
Can someone send me link where i could buy bags and holders together Thank you
Motomachines.com
@@tiger37373 thank you
wow super service !
Hey do u have any trouble lane splitting with those bags?
They don't stick out more than the handlebars, so I don't think it would be an issue. Haven't Lane split with these, too much as it is illegal here in Georgia. Did lots of Lane splitting in California, but had the blaze bags, at that time.
She looked very uncomfortable and possibly even a little hurt that you called her out like that on camera. Just saying. Lol
Hello , I have just ordered a set for my sv , do they flap about ? Or are they nice and stable ? Appreciate the vid 👍🏻
Stable to at least 130mph...
Beautiful bikes. BMW killed it when they joined the 1000cc sport bike game. I'm very close to changing my R1 for an HP4.
Yes. We love the S1000RR. We got the 2016 and were in disbelief, that it was better than the 2012. I always have a place in my heart for those HP4 though...haha
@@tiger37373 The bikes are changing so quickly now. You see the new dashes on all the new models? Insane. But a used HP4 will make me very happy I think.
Holy shit man. Long distance riding on an RR. That's amazing.
We put nearly 4000 miles on our trip to Newfoundland, that summer. A lot of fun.
@@tiger37373 And no issues with comfort on sport bikes? We went down to Tupper Lake a few years back and the return trip was absolute misery on my R1. Granted, I think my R1 has a less street-friendly rider position than the BMWs. My GF was OK on her GSXR 750. Great times!
Nope. Love the seats on the s1000rr. Probably the only stock seat, that I have not wanted to change. Whomever sculpted that thing deserves a medal.
I lived in Ile Bizard from 1986 to 2005. My parents moved off the island in 2018. I used to ride the loop on bicycle as a little kid. Then when older, we'd try to beat our "lap time" in our "race" cars. Recently, I used to do it on my R1. It's great to see this footage, brings back a lot of memories growing up in Ile Bizard.
Here's the rest of the loop. ruclips.net/video/_rjE20xCrqM/видео.html
Zips are the reason I wouldn't buy these bags. The 22 litre per side hard cases that go on the C-Bow system are a better bet. At least, in my opinion.
These bags are a decent compromise. I hate clam shell hard bags. They suck for commuting. They had offered me any bag as replacement, just pay any difference in price. Which I thought was an amazing offer, but I chose the same ones. I have asked hepco several times if they could develop a top loading hard bag in the 20ish liter size. No word yet, although they say that they are working something.
What max speed would be normal for riding with this bags?
Hi, thanks for the video. Have you tried to fit an Helmet?
Hahaha, no, helmets much too large
HI!! Just a little question, how do you find the little side pad. The one under the big tank pad. Did you cut yourself? I can't really find it online. :(
Stompgrip. Tank and fairing pieces all come in the kit together.
thanks be careful out there.
That rack that clicks into place in the place of your rear seat? Is it the Sportrack, and is it still available? I can't track it down.
See comments on ruclips.net/video/QS9C_lzOwKY/видео.html for links. Motomachines.com is the USA distributor for hepco.
Could you fit a 13 inch laptop in those side bags, please? They look good. As does the bike.
Send me the dimensions and I will check it for you. Another fellow asked me a similar question in the comments below.
Thanks a lot for the video! I have a question regarding your bags. Hepco states the maximal speed of 130 km/h. Have you experienced any problems on higher speed? Thanks a lot, Evgenij
I don't know that they are on the bike, at any speed. Including at double the speed that you mentioned.
Go for s1000xr lol
How does the plate do for sealing against water?
I would say it seals better than the seat, as it comes with a foam seal, that you stick on and compresses to the plastics.
tiger37373 awesome, sold. I almost locked in some sw-motech stuff yesterday, I'm glad I kept researching. I'm just trying to avoid having to wear a backpack for my laptop constantly. This is perfect, and it'll pop on and off super easy. I can imagine never taking the bag off the plate, just swap it out.
have you tapped into the electrical connector behind the left upper fairing?
For the GPS unit I plugged direct to the bike harness near the stem. For the bag electrical I install a secondary harness which has a relay wired inline, and direct to battery. This allows full power to be available, no canbus issues and turns off/on with key. Relay is power switch connect to rear plate light.
great ... I'm planning to hardwire a radar detector ... any idea how to get a harness (or what is it called) that will accept the one on the bike? for the GPS mount I used a GoPro sticky mount that expands to accept a GPS or a phone.
BMW does sell the opposite side connector, which has a length of pigtail wire, that you could solder your radar cable to. I don't know what the part number is. If you search on the s1000rr forum you may be able to find a p/n for it from someone else.
I found it is BMW 83300413585, The wires on the BMW repair connector are marked with a small number. #1 - ground #2 - not used #3 - positive
Awesome! Nice job finding the number. Link posted for others: www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/PartsSearch.aspx?&searchtype=partnumber&vid=58022&parts=83300413585
Great video! Very interested in luggage. Can you do a vid on how that back plate sits on the the rear? Im heading to Germany in 2 months and need luggage for my s1000rr. No idea what to buy. I ideally would like something without straps. G.
The sportrak plate simply uses the same attachment scheme as the passenger cushion that it replaces. You do have to transfer the lock from the factory cushion to the plate assembly. Check my other videos for more info on magnetic mount of tailbag. ruclips.net/video/kiLA1MrAcFE/видео.html
tiger37373 yeah i looked at that also. I think I'll order this gear. Seems like very good kit. Do you mind me asking where you got it and how much you paid? Do the 3 components come togther (brackets, side bags and top bag) or are the sold separately? Also in terms of cost, how much did they set you back? G.

Hi there! Great setup! Could you please measure the top edge of the Roster bag for me please? I am curious if I will be able to fit my laptop in these
I doubt it. I did some measurements for someone else. check out the comments on my other video ruclips.net/video/DxJx3buXeIw/видео.html
Someone asked about where to get the tank protectors. here's the link www.totalstickers3d.com/en/bmw/20-tank-pad-bmw-s-1000-rr-2015-2016-bmw-tank-protector.html
Very nice video. Love the practical mods.
Thanks for the video. How do you like the saddle bags now that you've owned them for a few months? I'm looking into these for my FZ-07 and would be interested to hear your feedback. Did you find them to be too small? Did the weight limit give you any issues? Thanks in advance.
they are not too small. definitely smaller than the SW motech blaze, but I really like these a lot better. they are solid and completely waterproof. I ride with them everyday. so far, I haven't had any issues.
tiger37373 Thanks for the quick reply. The blaze are the other system I'm actually looking into. I do like that these are fully water proof. Could you fit a whole 13 inch laptop case in there you think or would it be a tight squeeze?
just thinking about it, I don't think that it would fit. I'd have to measure it. let me know the dimensions and I can compare with the bag, maybe tomorrow.
tiger37373 The laptop case I use is a Cocoon Innovations one, so it is kind of large. it is 14.88" wide, by 11.02" tall. Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it.
I checked and you are out of luck with those dimensions.
These are some of the sweetest mods I've seen for this bike! When the time is right I'd like to take trips on this bike. Luggage system looks great. Clutch and brake levers you can tell are high quality. The mirror mod may be the best one. Nice video.
Thanks. I am glad it was helpful for you.
Are those bags waterproof/resistant? I ask because I've been doing a lot of research on my next bike, and wanna do some touring on it, and sometimes Mother Nature comes into play when you least expect it lol.
they are designed to be mostly waterproof on the outside. also has built in waterproof liner, kind of like a dry bag. not a ton of space but def worth having.
Damn! Really love that tail bag setup!
Jonny Rides yeah, the royster saddle bags are pretty nice, so far. We're doing the first big road trip next week. volume isn't quite as big as the SW motech blaze bags. otherwise I like these a lot better.
I was just doing a search and came across your videos, they look great and a LOT better than me carrying my backpack full of camera gear haha Good stuff! Ill be waiting for another video during or after your trip!
right on! glad you enjoyed the videos. the trolley bags are definitely proven, we had those before, although the magnet mounts didn't exist at that time. I'm not sure why they stopped making the trolley bag. I was lucky enough to get the last new bag in the USA and then had to search the rest of the earth for the second. I have never seen one on the used market.
raced here many times, but we went clockwise ,this is weird.
fantastic place
That is exactly how rallies should be. Not a bunch of stupid stunts, hogging up the freeway and being rude to everyone. Ride safe out there.
glad you enjoyed the video. the girls do put on a really nice get together.
Brilliant. I like he bits with me in it the best.
Ça donne un bon avant-gout ;) J'y serai bientôt !
Nice OpenGL fragment shaders.
No idea what that means, but thanks for watching!
Thank you, but you forgot the scene where you took the left onto CA-135 southbound which led to Los Alamos, where you had lunch at.
wow that looks awesome...great video.
when was this shot? you look so different compared to the way you play now with more intention and discipline.
