Holy cow... I seriously can't believe he managed to win that last Watcher run. It felt like that run was built to fail with how bad all of the cards were, but somehow he managed to pull it off. That is why Baalor truly is a Grand Master at this game. Almost anyone else would have been cooked.

I think Empty Fist was buffed because the nature of the card requires it to be something particularly good to be worth being forced out of your current stance (or to be worth taking when exiting your stance doesn't help you). When you look at the other Empty cards, Empty Body is extremely underwhelming in part because its upgrade is completely standard and the normal effect of exiting your stance isn't worth taking a barely-better-than-a-Defend card. Empty Mind is good card draw, so its effect is always good even without an upgrade. So Empty Fist gets its value from having a strong upgrade to make it synergize with the stance system while doing enough damage by itself to still be worth upgrading. Personally, I think there are too many card upgrades that are really lackluster. Cards that go from 2-cost to 1-cost? That's a great upgrade. A block card that goes from 7 block to 10 block? Nice to have, but it doesn't change much. Likewise, upgrading stuff like Bludgeon for a whopping 12 damage increase, or Pommel Strike that draws 2 instead of 1? That feels great. All card upgrades should feel great to get, like they make a real difference.

I find myself skipping these Watcher runs, it just lacks that spicy struggle that other classes provide.

After learning how Mirror works I think the best thing Baalor could do to improve is learn when to sell potions. My guess is he's carrying over the wrong habits from Spire, where you want to walk around with full potions all the time. Here you definitely don't; you lose (potential) money every time you miss a pickup because you're full. Correctly selling off mosg of your potions can easily net an extra skill or upgrade by the end of the run. Also some of them are basically worthless anyways. I'm looking at you, coolup potion.
