Before Chui Lau Heung make its presence in these markets, not many people in those regions had ever tasted Malaysian durian. All they knew about durian was durian from Thailand because no dare devils would be undaunted enough to import Malaysian durians to those markets due to risk undertaking was very forbidding. Malaysian durian has much shorter shelf life and most businessman were uncertain if there would be huge enough market to be worthy of taking such risk.

In short, Chui Lau Heung took the dip into the unknown and the rest was history.
