Oh, that they would publish the sheet music again. The Renaissance songbook is a hot commodity, but doesn't contain nearly enough of the music.

I'd never heard of them until a friend of mine took me to their recent show in Collingswood, NJ. They were amazing!

Update I just got back to my hotel after the show that was so divine. Got a signed setlist from Annie :) :)

I was in the second row and for this song, Annie's music stand was directly between me and her. So, not having her to look at, I listened more carefully. What a wonderful band, great performance, and tragedy that there will be no more Renaissance performances after this tour.

My favorite band in the entire world. Ashes, Turn, Scheherazade, ESPECIALLY NOVELLA AND SFAS, and Azure.... and to a lesser extent Tuscany. Among my top favorite albums ever. I can't believe I get the chance to see their final tour stop ever. Granted I have to drive all the way from Atlanta cos they didn't come anywhere NEAR here UGH but WORTH IT.

I just saw them tonight in Rochester NY. She has a great sense of humor and her stories and banter between songs really made the show fantastic.

We were there, in the second row, and enjoyed every minute. Renaissance has had various renaissances, and this ensemble represents the best since the "classic" period when the band was John Tout, Terry Sullivan, Jon Camp, and Michael Dunford along with Annie. Annie can still hit the notes. Unlike more modern pop bands this group can hold an audience without smoke, dancers, and stage props.

It's hard to imagine a better choice to replace Carl. Virgil is a brilliant performer with a filigree technique that makes music much closer to the prog. As for Harry, I am impressed by his talent and respect for classical tracks. Nevertheless, Geoff's decision to refuse to continue working with John Payne looks a little strange. Together they formed a wonderful duo that made some great and much underrated albums. But this line-up sounds great, and I wish him good luck!

Saw this live lastnight. Sooooo many concerts nearing the age of 60. I was in awe of Yes and in love with Jon Anderson. Lastnight blew me away. Just magnificent set list, pure Yes!!! This newer song was so moving. Simple yet touched the heart with that gorgoous crystalline voice. Just pure magic live!

Of the two official covers of Yes, Band of Geeks is far more convincing. Jon Anderson still sings, and well, and the band rocks. Howe was a great guitar player,and Davidson fails IMHO as Anderson copycat. Would be better to sing with his own voice.
