You are right, this is only good as a side hustle now. It is oversaturated and orders are decreasing at an alarming rate. Stores are closing left and right. UE offers injury protection and health insurance because of prop 22. Still it is not enough.

The amount of time you will spend is not worth it. I deliver in a bike, so no wear and tear. But the waiting game is getting old.

I do it for exercise and vacation. Santa Monica is a biker's paradise. I bike once or twice a week when I'm off from my regular job. So, I make money while exercising and having fun.

Yes, I totally agree. My orders are less than 2 miles for Ubereats and less than 4 miles for Doordash. Also, oversaturated with ebikers now.

@@Gadgza it's frustrating, but here in Cali active time is paid. About 34 cents per minute, so I don't mind delivering in an apartment.
