Hello Marie, what society did you grow up in? You seem to have a better opinion of men than girls growing up in the anti-man hysteria of the US. I do not live in the US any more but see why most men in the US have checked out, I live in St Petersburg Russia so I have a very different experience, here if a man is polite and has something interesting to say, he can meet female. There is not the fear in women that in the US is the norm so there only a few men can cause them to let down their guard and accept "hello" as non-threatening.. Unless the man is wealthy, females in the US are automatically higher status in all areas of social or economic status

Where are these men looking? If in the US, there are no "5", all women regardless of her appearance or tonnage, sees herself as a 10 when on a large sampling of females including other countries she is a 1 or 2. Guys, if you want a quality girl, go to the gym 4 times a week get cleaned up and move to another country and stay there. Any country not dominated by US government or culture will allow you to find authentic 5s who really are attractive, social friendly, well educated and FIT. I am older but have a lot of experience. When I was owner of a few well known companies connected to the upper end of the music industry, tall, fit but middle or lower face, there was a dramatic difference in attention from women depending on driving a Landcruiser and a Maserati and dressed well. Dressing more casually the brand and appearance of the cars made more difference in female attention. A Corvette generated approval to average girls and driving a Ferrari, a car they could identify, interest was higher than one of the Maserati's that had more historic and cultural value(my main Ghibli GT had belonged to Frank Sinatra, for example. Girls are very focused on apparent social status because their social status is implied by her partner's status. So you can be average and be seen as high status, | Women take their social status from their mate's identity/status In the US those status markers can be very thin so renting an exotic car for a few hours will raise your perceived value. Overall women in the US have a more limited experience or understanding of status they identify you with. BUT, American status is very shallow. In other more cultured societies they expect men to have refined manners, be cultured and know something regardless of income or toys. Attending an opera and understanding and appreciating it can be status clues more than a car would be in the US. If you are a decent guy without much debt but are cultured and clam you can be seen as a higher rank on the sexual market place value. |Flashing money hover will not impress as much as good masculine manners and culture in societies that have the most desirable mates. | have dated in most of the 93 countries I have spent time in. And I gave all my assets away and moved to a beautiful city in Eastern Europe 24 years ago. I arrived with only 2 suit cases and $6000 and still here, The difference is values is dramatic, knowing things is more of a bust to SMV(Sexual Marketplace Value ) so it was easy to collect a large number of attractive fit great female friends. If back in the US, I would be invisible to women. Look at the culture's values, that move was the best of my life. The American society is crashing, over 1000 factions and each hates all 999. A sound balanced relationship is rare so your best odds will be to move to a better lower cost to thrive society. Every one in the US has some kind of life by very few have a good life so relationships fail to thrive. The very high level of daily stress is hard on relationship and life. The US is the only developed country with a declining male life expectancy which is expected in high stress environment.
