His name was Zach Rabiroff. And on another note, the Ditko Estate (DitkoVerse) will be re-publishing all of the Static issues as well as compiling all of the individual stories into a single volume, along with many other projects.

It has occurred to me how many of my lifelong fashion, architecture and decorating choices have been heavily influenced by some panel in a comic book that the artist probably didn't think about for more than a few moments.

I suppose I can (also) answer some of Dave's questions here. Since college, throughout my work-for-hire comics career, as well as creating my creator-owned comics and graphic novels, I have been inking with a #2 Winsor & Newton series seven sable brush and a Hunt #102 crow quill pen nib. These were the tools that one of my teachers, Will Eisner, recommended us using to ink comics and graphic novels. The ink that I use now, and since a little after I started working in comics, is the Pelikan Tusche A Drawing Ink waterproof black ink. Although, recently, I have found that the Pelikan ink not being as dark, as black, as it has been for decades. Dunno why that is. #MakeComicsGreatAgain

I miss FOLLOWING CEREBUS. It was a wonderful publication. I especially enjoyed the Will Eisner tributes. #MakeComicsGreatAgain

It was great phone for one of us.

I can't remember the last time I inked. Almost got "inked" by a 'possum once. Was playing a pretty solid dead. Lifted gently up off the ground by the dog. Bowels remained solid. I can't imagine the level of distress needed to coax a 'possum releasing the stinky ink. Thankfully.
