Genshin Impact Global Illumination OFF VS ON | Grapichs Comparison
We've got a fresh visual update called Global Illumination graphics. While you might not notice a big change during most times, You'll see a bit more detail at noon, especially on big buildings and Sumeru map. Just a heads up, you'll need a GPU with 4GB+ VRAM for this. It's like Genshin's version of Nvidia's ray tracing.

Hello! here is my entry for epic seven cover event , enjoy ( ͡°╭͜ʖ╮͡° )
Interesting
turn off v syn
What settings of you OBS do you use? I'm using same gpu but my recording quality was suck
Hi... I'm using recording quality "same as stream" in this video..
@@diversity800 you should use nvidias software for recording
check your bitrate
bro you set limit 60fps
You cant get more than 60 FPS on genshin, unless you mod the game
I should make a vid similar to this for my pc's specs
i have rtx 4060 and i7-12650h , do you think it can achieve this kind of smoothness?
Definitely! The RTX 4060 laptop is almost as powerful as a desktop, and running Genshin Impact on it is a breeze!
i really dont get it, i have the same card but my genshin doesnt run like this. i dont know what to do anymore
It could be due to higher monitor resolution or bottlenecked cpu.
@@diversity800 how would i fix bottlenecked cpu?
nevermind! i found that me not having google open while playing genshin allows me to play at a stable 60fps!
@@niloustar.So it was either your cpu or you RAM. How many gigas of RAM do you have? Also what is your cpu? You can see here that the gpu usage is not even 60% so 4060 is way too much for these settings.
@@niloustar. But this game uses very little gigas of RAM so it must be your cpu that couldn't handle multitasking with genshin + google.
i really dont get it, i have the same card but my genshin doesnt run like this. i dont know what to do anymore
Did you install drivers?
@@heenthousiast383 yeah, i have all nvidia drivers and windows updates.
yes, i have all drivers installed.@@heenthousiast383
is it on pcie 3.0 or 4.0? the RTX 4060 is a lot better on pcie 4.0, it uses the card 100% performance
verify if you plug your monitor cable to your gpu and not your motherboard
Compare it but first disable Bloom
hey how is the vram usage ?
at 1080p maximum vram it takes is 3500mb ,and average is 3gb
Does ur pc get loud when playing this?
Does ur pc get loud when playing this?
No, my setup have lower TDP, they consume less power, generate less heat, and may need less robust cooling solutions. Consequently, the fans operate at a lower rate, contributing to a quieter gaming experience
Try an fps unlocker
Hello, what cpu fan cooler did you use? And thermal paste thanks
It's cooler master 212 evo
@@diversity800 nice thank u :)
MY maing advice to anyone looking to buy this card...don't, you can find rtx 3060 12gb for much better prices and you're supporting a scummy card from a scummy nvidia gen, also the 8gb and the 128 bit bus is...yikes. Make sure to buy a 12gb rtx 3060 variant not the 8gb one
Absolutely, when it comes to performance at 1440p and beyond, the RTX 3060 12gb does indeed shine in demanding games. However, for those aiming for a 1080p gaming experience, the 4060 could be the preferred choice. Additionally, considering the price factor, the RX7600 stands out as a more cheaper option while more being solid than 4060 on 1440p and above.
Why this much hate? u mf, rtx 4060 actually good for its price 8gb enough to play at 1080p
@@diversity800who the hells plays in 1440p with rtx 3060
@@Kolombo071 I mean, who needs a reasonable balance between performance and visuals when you can make your RTX 3060 question its existence by rendering in 1440p? It's like telling a thoroughbred racehorse to pull a chariot-utterly ridiculous, yet strangely fascinating.
@@diversity800 ..
Which motherboard u were using??
Read the description.
A question Dude, I have the RTX 4060 and a Xeon E5 2630 v2 processor but I have FPS drops, I know I have a bottleneck, I have bought a Ryzen 5600x that will arrive soon. But I have tearing when playing at 60 fps, how can I avoid that? Yes I have a 144hz monitor, thank you
If your cpu can't keep up with your gpu, it can cause screen tearing in games. This occurs because the gpu creates frames faster than the CPu can provide data. As a result, you may notice incomplete frames on the screen, resulting in screen tearing. This issue is likely to get better once you installed the Ryzen 5600X.
Hello. How did it went for you? the tearing may be due to multiple factors. Like old PCIe version which do not meet all the speed the 4060 is capable of. Aswell as Ddr3 ram's low speeds, or that your screen is not compatible with G-Sync, so you should turn the screen to 60hz manually so it matches the 60fps of the game.
This is really helpful, a showcase of actual relevant gameplay that is not tutorial. Do you think the GTX 3060 series will do this good?
Yes, rtx 3060 it should work really well, it can even handle the game smoothly on a 4K resolution
Do you have stutters issue ?
So far I haven't encountered any micro-stuttering while playing the game
Is there any difference between the High and Extreme setting ? I'm curious which one would be better to run
What gpu you are using? the difference is not really notibeable. If your gpu running genshin at below 80%, using either high or extreme global illumination won't put much pressure on your gpu.
@@diversity800 I have a 3060 Ti, Ryzen 7 3800x. 16gb ddr4 ram
thanks, this video helped me
0:31 - From what I take the texture delay problem is also occurs on RTX 4060, I thought it only happens on my potato APU, turns out the problem is from the game itself.
I heard that they've already solved the problem of textures streaming long time ago. My guess is that this issue was caused by a unstable driver, especially since the RTX 4060 is relatively new. Because I don't see the texture loading problem on my other computer, which has much older graphics card.
@@diversity800 the texture problem is 90% solved in 4.1 but still not instant load like version under 3.0 since 3.0 I think they made it slower so low-end device can play the game
@@diversity800 I have 2200G with instant texture loading up until 2.X then I change to GTX1650 it has texture problem, I change to 5600G APU still same problem, then in 4.1 it fix alot but it still there, like 0.1 - 0.3 delay
do you use only 1 ssd m2 or use hdd to save the game
Hi, I only use single m2 ssd to store the game files.
Is it on ps5 by default?
Yes, Global Illumination on playStation will automatically be in effect after the version update
Is that global illumination actually a ray tracing?
nahh. it's like reflective light, like the light from the window entering the room will be brighter when turned on. For example, when sunlight hits an orange object, that orange object will reflect orange light around it.
@@namgunaucao9771RTX lite
Just better ambient occlusion and higher lightning quality
Does it work on phone?
No, at least for now.
i have the option but theres no different when change it, does it have to reset the game?
If changing a game option doesn't seem to make a big difference, you can try testing it in places like Mondstadt or Aaru Village, Sumeru, at 4:00 PM in the game. If you don't notice much change, you probably don't need to reset the game. Sometimes, the differences are subtle or location-based.
first you need to know how GL work.
I was guessing the same, then I went to Aaru Village and could notice the difference by switching it on and off, 4PM
I feel like with GI the game looks more as an anime game
how's the difference in performance?
So far there are not really much difference in performance. I tried Global Illumination on an older pc with an RX 580 4GB, Ryzen 5 3500, and 8GB RAM. Surprisingly, there wasn't much of a performance difference either. I still got high FPS on max settings, with only a few small drops which also happens even without G.I. The only noticeable change was that my PC got a bit warmer, from 73 to 76 degrees celsius.
@@diversity800 huh,, that's weird. i also use rx 580 4gb with r5 3600. but the option for GI is not available. people in reddit who uses rx 480 and rx 580 even the 8gb version also not have the option available.
@@someoneinasia Yep, like I said on other reply. Currently most of RX users are having the same problem, some have the option available, some don't. One possible explanation that my rx 580 have this option available is maybe because hardware testing history. Since my other PC undergoes frequent hardware changes, it's possible that this dynamic environment has led to different system settings.
oh you did, sorry i must've missed it@@diversity800
@@someoneinasia Have you tried amd modded driver? people from reddit said that installing the newest amermine AMD modded driver solved the missing G.I settings. But, since it is a modded driver, there might cause another problem, so, do it with your own risk.
i dont see any difference at all :/
Hey, I'll be sharing the graphic comparison side by side featuring global illumination and without it today. Let's take a closer look together and maybe we'll spot the differences and get a clearer view.
hi! i do not have this option even though I have 16gb of ram?
You need to have 4gb+ of VRAM, RAM is different😊 I do not have this option too because i only have over 500mb of VRAM😂
