    I'd say they're just afraid of wear and tear, since even the simplest cruise puts stress on the entire car and over time the chassis and body can end up bending out of shape, even if only by a few millimeters, but still I don't think that's a good enough excuse to keep them sitting on platforms for decades on end...

    We need balance. Children shouldnt be forced out of their homes and highkey neglected lole that. But they also shouldnt be by their parents sides 24/7 and ocerlooked on ecery aspect of their lives either.

    Cry me a river .. you didn't get sugar cereal with cartoons in it so your parents weren't good enough!? What a spoiled lil shit. Dude, your parents put a roof over your head, fed you and made sure you went to school. Stop boo hooing on the Internet and go thank your actual parents for giving you life.

    My illusion got shuttered over years, after I was 30. So much so that I no longer respect my parents for separate reasons. I also witnessed complete idiocy of many drown ups in my family and learned there and then that grown ups are not smart

    And? The entire world operates this way. Stop overthinking it. If you got a job, you’ll get performance reviewed and it affects your pay. Go to school and your behavior and attitude affects your grades. It is literally how society works.

    This is what I also felt like when I was an adult. I hated my parents first then I realised they were struggling, they are working hard because we were poor, they were bothe dealing with stress. My mom was a stronger personality because she was the eldest of twelve and my sibling fear her. She was fierce, direct and harsh. But I understood later on this is what she grew up with from both her parents. My dad was aloof and i understood later on he was a hard worker to get our needs met.

    I think a lot of kids that had parental trauma could probably relate to this, if they look introspectively. I know I had a very misplaced mother, and I found many other moms willing to give me that motherly love I needed when I was very little. They definitely have influenced how my life has evolved. I've said thank you to them many times, and I have lost many of them now, and miss them dearly.

  • @FishFreddy
    @FishFreddy 2 месяца назад

    That's why we have universal healthcare. As a child, you pay $0 for getting your eyes checked and $0 for getting glasses. As an adult, you pay more. But in America they don't give a shit about children in poor areas. The whole ideology of "Let them rot to hell".

    • @danstewarthg
      @danstewarthg 2 месяца назад

      The crazier part, to me anyway, is that my parents weren’t poor. We lived in a waterfront home in St. Petersburg, Florida at the time. They spent beyond their means, and we were upper middle class poor- meaning the boat payment, car payments, and alcohol bill were prioritized above healthcare. Lots of people spend their lives thinking acquiring stuff will make them happy. My parents included.

It's so easy to get a free eye test in the private sector or the national health service here, i even get a text reminding me that i haven't had one in a while, glasses aren't cheap but you cam get NHS glasses that are cheaper but not so fasionable
