I wish I had the ability and time to do this. I went on a diet and basically replaced all meat and protein with mushrooms and it helped me close over 60 pounds, but wow I spent so much money cause they are so expensive at stores. Mushrooms are such a beautiful miracle food. I hope to one day get into growing them myself.

What do you use for long-term storage of strains? I come from a biotech background and everything wound up in liquid nitrogen. Though I well know that's not necessary for a lot of things, it was the default for me since that's what we had available and at those temps there is no biological activity. I don't have that readily available to me any longer, though, so am looking for something more sophisticated than broth or agar in the fridge.

Way to go on 1,000 subscribers! Love to see other growers and their approach to cultivation. There are so many angles and inches that fungus offers. Long time grower, small on the sales side compared to some, but growing and halfway through building a new space. Seems like the framing is the easy part. Finishing the grow rooms, lab and HVAC is a whole other animal entirely.lol I love the way you have used the metal inside, is that galvanized?

Budding/grafting tape is great is you get the right width and manufacturer. Or you can cut/chop food cling wrap with a big knife.

Still have a roll and a half of Parafilm from back when I grew mushrooms. Never thought of using electrical tape. Now I have another option.
