The Age of Electric - Show Me Your Weakness @ Mod Club, Toronto - April 13 2017
Did mate even age?! He sounds, and looks like he did in the 90's. Cool performance!
This band was pretty good, the young guitarist was great. He’s gonna go places.
How was Slash after everything that’s happened
He was amazing last night!
Very professional, handled the show amazingly and was awesome. It was a great show. I was on the floor dead Center, section 102
@@DeeTee79 that’s great
@@DeeTee79 happy to hear that
I was there and I laugh that they say he can't sing anymore I saw snd heard this! There was no doubt of his power and range that night
AI cant perform like this. Period. great band! enjoyed it.
Not too many videos of these guys live, and my first time seeing this song performed acoustic! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure! If you check my channel list, I have posted a couple more from this acoustic show. Plus other IME shows, with Brian or Edwin singing. Enjoy!
There may be a goodbye, him to her, when Time becomes their leveler...and it will...
Edwin starting to look like William Shatner..
Was that a mosrite knock-off?
It was an aqua Danelectro '64
Wow I can't believe it's been 5 years. Great show. Fucking awesome.
Wow what a band
Saw them in '94 at the Back Room in Austin. Incredible, just the right amount of loud before causing damage. The Nixon's and Stick opened. Edwin was in the pocket. Not too many people there, despite the video for "Not quite Sonic".
The audience are like oil paintings no energy. IME is one of 🇨🇦 best rock bands show them some love. ❤️
great fucking band !!! so under appreciated
I agree!
It would have made more match-making sense if Edwin (upon temporarily not singing for IME) had sung in Blind Melon (late 1990s or early millenium). They did after all get another singer (Travis). Blind Melon still could have had Travis at some later date in addition. The thing is Edwin was clearly an athlete and moved around on stage in that way, as per Shannon Hoon. There might have been some pragmatic or political reasons why the thought never crossed the minds of Edwin (or IME for that matter) and Blind Melon to do that. Beyond that, I still think it would have been a good idea (because of the stage behaviours). Also the voice pitch would work well on a bunch of songs. They are all remarkable musicians too. An example of a bad match-making of musicians in a "super-group" is Chris Cornell in Audioslave (Rage Against The Machine's Members). He can be an exceptionally talented singer on some soundgarden songs and the RATM members are clearly very good at playing their instruments and writing riffs. However, it just does not work. Even though I'm sure they were all pals anyway, the problem was the technical assumption that you can take a good singer from one band and match him to the good musicians of another band, _"because they are both good"._ However it does not work. They simply remain good severally but not jointly, and so the parts that "sort of work" have a regression to a mean. Audioslave were kinda mediocre compared to what they should have been, looking at the ingredients on the Audioslave packet. It is particularly bad because both bands set the bar far too high previously. The ('new' Blind Melon) singer Travis is actually pretty damn talented at writing guitar riffs and he can certainly sing. However he was too much of a shock to the system for the goal of "fame" for the audience of Blind Melon to expect. It's not just about music but success and thereby fame (as they have image and CD/Audio sales to factor in). Shannon Hoon had been a martial arts (tantamount) ninja and the behaviours were evident in the stage antics. The transition made Travis seem too much like some softy leftist damp squib _(when actually his talent then was thereby accidentally hidden and lost somewhat)._ Edwin would not have been like that and could have (fairly) easily slipped into his usual (and very suitable) behaviors of dancing around like a ninja in the Not-Quite-Sonic official music video. Also both bands used mpeg video on their CDROM Audio (a mixed mode digital format) so that had the right forward way of thinking with an innovative daring aggression. Back to IME, the singer Brian eventually ended up bloody brilliant but he (and IME) were a bit crap when they first got him in. They did however have a few slick songs _(No Coma, that guitar solo on Infinity Machine, Cloud Pump)._ That "we got the love" or whatever song, not my cuppa. Meh. But eventually Brian ended up good and is sort of like the singer from Reef a little bit. I reckon it just took some time for all to adjust. Brian can not only sing the old songs great but he ninjas around on stage in the suitable way for IME. I'm sure there is some information I do not know of as to why the above might not have been suitable. It might seem a bit "fantasy football" were you construct better suited teams. I think some people would agree with me though because I really could not care about the band member's favourite colour or political leanings. I just wanted to hear the music (the best tunes at that). It's like there was apparently some legal case thing in IME, and literally nobody in the audience cared or gave a damn _(and I know I didn't, and I had to look up wikipedia years later to figure what is was)._ They just wanted to hear the music, so I'm kinda looking at it like that, just matching the talents and not really caring about their feelings (lol). I mean meh I don't know these guys.
Paulo left Winnipeg because he owed everyone money over the years .. he's a bum
Ya gotta see forest fir the trees ...
That "is" IME. Not the other guy.
This was the first concert after Edwin returned to the band. I think Brian Byrne is also a great vocalist. But no one does IME songs like Edwin.
Wheres the rest of the song ? Thats the false ending
IME is an incredibly talented band. Unfortunately there is no evidence of that outside of their studio recordings. Honestly I love the Edwin albums (Dig, Scenery and Fish) There as no effort from the label or management team to promote them. So we are left with these blackberry vids.
Sadly this is true, they are one of the best live bands in Canada. There really should be professionally recorded live videos of IME.
@@MiraRaven unbelievable live....I'm praying they make another album with Edwin
Esta guitarra esta no hard rock cafe gramado brasil!!!
Killer tune....brings me back to summer days in the mid 90s

Yep
It's a tribute to when the Who did it. ruclips.net/video/AduIrDqBtGA/видео.html
Wonder why Joe does this? Did something suddenly piss him off? Did he decide he didn’t like the guitar he was playing?

Probably. That's why he's still there!😀🎸
WOW!!!! they sound incredible!
JUST GET ANOTHER ONE
I never understood the whole smashing your guitar thing.
Definitely a Joe Perry first act guitar
I just love Edwin!!!!
i recognised Ryan because of his guitar)
Edwin is so better then Brian Byrne i mean Brian is not a bad singer but i prefer Edwin over him
holy crap. that new song kicks ass!
Don't mean to correct you, but it was April 13. :)
Oops, I'll fix that... Thanks!
Cool! Seen your other vids too from that night, you captured some great videos! :)
Thanks! I use a little camera with a good microphone, and try to practice polite concert etiquette by standing where I am not interfering with anyone else's view. It's a fun hobby, however I also love to dance at shows so the camera is not that steady. ;)

Damn, they're so good. Thanks for posting!
great work
Thanks for posting this Mira. Great stuff.
that was awesome
Jon Gauthier : Yes it was! It's too bad Paulo Neta left the band recently. I will certainly be interested in seeing/hearing what he does next!
"AAAWWWW SHIT" says it all...lol
I still think about this show and how amazing it was!
That's "The Mothers".
Can't believe I was there, I have been wanting to see Opeth for years. They did not disappoint
That was horrible
holy shit i hope that was an eastwood instead of a mosrite
It's an Echopark, you can see the headstock in pictures of this show. Don't know the model but it's probably as expensive as a Mosrite
It was this one: cosmomusic.ca/guitar-electric-danelectro-d64-bigsby-aqua-1.html
I could be wrong but I think it was one of his lefty strats
Hello Dave is my favourite ime song 😂
I'm joking
this made me smile. thank you
