Also need to make tagging any vehicle engaged in commerce a Felony. Just as it would be if someone tagged an Airliner (which is a Federal Charge) 👍

@@mattr5708 yes Union Pacific has lots of neat local power in LA that’s very historic but unfortunately, they turn to trash like this in a flash and UP has no intentions of cleaning it up or preventing it all together.

We don't like graffiti either , unfortunately that's up for Union Pacific to decide when yo repaint there locomotives. We try to keep our equipment clean of graffiti as soon as we see it.

​@suppylarue220 class 1 railroads don't care about that , along as it runs and get the job done. They not gonna clean up the engine and forget about the railcars too. They be in the red from repaint cost alone. Just to repaint it in a week lol

@@santapaulateen3501 completely untrue. there is an excess of motive power. poor law enforcement policies is part of the problem. making excuses does not cure trespass and vandalism. look around the permissive attitude of many so-called railfans contribute to desecration of railroad property by posting sites on RUclips that celebrate and encourage tagging.

That splash of red graffiti on the rear of the locomotive makes me think that there is an old bloody nose paint scheme under that UP paint.

In fillmore, what we manage is the small turntable yard that is completely enclosed.

@ Ah, also I was wondering if you guys had any plans for the old railroad crossing equipment on the far east side of the yard, I heard it might be going somewhere but I haven’t hear any other info about it.

Right now we don't have any active plans for the equipment, but it will be staying in our yard.

We do too, and hope they start running longer trains here.

They're most likely left in a sighting that was very accessible by the public. Unfortunately, it's a common problem in railroading, and I think railroads, mostly focus on if they were mechanically vandalized rather than cosmetically.

As far as we know, there were no plans for the fillmore yard.All equipment will be eventually moved to Santa Paula once the bridge is complete

Former Southern Pacific Gp40p-2 #3198,that unit use to run the Commutes from San Francisco to San Jose California up to 1985. I am glad to see that it is still earning revenue. I hope a Museum gets the one of the two ,that is still on the Up rooster,and paint them back into Southern Pacific.

What we were told, yes, their operations will be out of Santa Paula from now on, and they have been rehabilitating the entire line in bits, mostly focusing between Santa Paula and Ventura.

It would be a good addition to any railroad museum.

We have no say in the fillmore yard.That is all going to be Sierra Northern property. We're not sure what exactly their plans are currently. We know that eventually, they will be moving to Santa Paula.

We do not own or operate those locomotives. They are owned and operated by Sierra Northern. As far as we know, number 14 needs a boiler rebuild, and number 100 was used for a commercial recently.

Does the Serra Northern plan to restore the 14 steam engine? What commercial was the 100 in?
