Hi! Mine looked good for about one year. I still have them on a shelf but the petals are a faded pink. The petal shape is identical, just less color intensity. Perhaps there are chemicals that allow a longer color retention but I haven’t learned about it yet. Hope that helps!

I can speak for myself because I'm in tears Trying to clean my SHELVES CABINETS etc . My building is predominantly a senior building there was over $170 apartments . People put oatmeal canned goods pasta cereal I'm pretty sure it comes from a pantry because it's always the same brand. I started stockpiling because of worries about prepping and War . During covid the grocery stores or empty plus where I live is called a grocery store desert meaning there is little stores like Family Dollar. We do have produce delivered never know what it's going to be or when where are the residents. Sometimes it'll be after I go grocery shopping. My issue is Food #1 If you ever have gone hungry especially as a child you will understand . Especially when I started having children always make sure the house is packed with food. I also suffer from anorexia sometimes bulimia. Or not wanting to cook or eat alone I'm used to making big portions for a family. So Hunger from neglect, the eating disorders, I really started going overboard when I had children and after people always are asking for food . Covid 19 Food Shortage and trying to prep for War or disaster .I am so upset right now because of all the expired food . i took a Huge box downstairs .Oh I forgot because my 1st comment Disappeared I live in a Grocery Store Desert City but Corner Stores Family Dollar Dollar General Well the Dry goods sealed boxes Example Instant oatmea or Baking mixes had " Saw Tooth Weevles .You have to clean out everything and wipe down Cans etc .l etc . I use to drive . I have been trying to find a list exactly how long food is good for after the expiration dates things like the spaghetti sauce and pasta which I have a ton of I have to throw out.Tears I get physically sick having to throw food away or rotting . I also have probably $700+ up 3 floors at my bfs again I live in a building with 170 apartments I have been laid up with broken leg bones etcetera so there is not only the weevils I got to clean up dust declaration days I don't even have anything in my refrigerator it's upstairs. I cannot find a solid list with the correct expiration dates . I feel like it's a sin through food away people are starving. Once again I went hungry idk 2-5 than again Age 15 + 38 i think where I live at least you will not go hungry there are Soup Kitchens Churches i learnt about in my late 30s . I also have issues with Clothing . I ALSO KEEP FALLING OFF OF CHAIRS Shelves everything KEEPs FALLING ON ME or I'm all over the place Days of working on getting rid of as much as possible .I used to professionally clean as a side job but my bipolar has decided to take over . I'm doing all this alone falling is a huge issue

That’s a great point. I asked my parents about various expired goods to gauge what to keep since my dad owns a grocery store and has throughout my life. 😌 That made it easier to decide what should truly go as no one likes food waste. ☺️ I am thinking about doing a pantry update video to show the current state and do some minor tidying. Spoiler [no pun intended]: we’ve done well maintaining it!

I also think that's why we hold on to more stuff I am in tears right now I cannot find a list of expiration dates . I haven't been in my own apartment in couple months so I'm the only dust and dirt as well as the sawtooth weevils I was talking about that get into Dry Goods actually they get it all over the place they even play dead you have to clean everything as well is there anything out that they are contaminated in .😢😢

Hi! I don’t use water to wipe mine off, just a cloth when necessary. As for hanging whites, I only place them on the hanger once the clothing is dry. That helps retain the clothing shape better for me than hanging wet clothing by its shoulders. Hope that’s helpful! 😊 And thanks for watching!!

Good question! I’ve never looked into it but I tend to keep clothes on them at all times, so I presumed the velvet part of the hangers were mostly sheltered from dust. Now ya have me wondering too, Iya! 😄

Great question! My shirts tend to be XS, S or sometimes M so they have been working well for me over the course of years. Some of my tops and dresses are youth size and these hangers still do the job. Hope that helps a bit! Thanks for being here!

@theashleycamber What stores do you get them from? Most of the hangers I find are about 17" and they're too wide. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

It looks like mine are 17.5” wide. Do hangers that wide seem to stretch the shoulders of your tops? I ordered them from Amazon: amzn.to/3TlCrlI

I'm sorry you feel that way, Emmie L. _I definitely did this pantry makeover because of The Home Edit_--you called it! With very large projects, I find myself delaying until I have a burst of inspiration that gets me excited for the project. Seeing The Home Edit's new collection actually drove my pantry project I had put off for exactly 3 years! As an Enneagram 7, I seek thrilling experiences and avoid pain or discomfort. After being hospitalized on 4 days' worth of 2 intense IV antibiotics, I found myself on a 2-week supply of 2 more intense antibiotics. All of the work my body went through to fight off an infection, overcome sepsis and the side effects of the strong antibiotics really zapped my energy. In fact, I REALLY had to push through to get started on organizing my pantry once I got home from the hospital. Then when my son got injured and was facing a threatening infection, my focus and energy were pulled as the doctor told me he may be hospitalized with IV antibiotics too! So between my pantry decluttering video and my panty organizing video, I went to urgent care 3 times, stayed in the hospital myself, followed doctor's orders to take my son to the hospital for X-rays, 5 kids' dentist appointments [see aforementioned son's injury], a couple visits with the school nurse and more. Whew! So you were really onto something... _what seemed like such an exciting project for me at the start ended in a draining multi-day project_ . *Thankfully it is meeting our desire for form and function.* 🙌Hopefully you'll see a return of my enthusiasm in my upcoming bathroom decluttering 🗑and subsequent organizing 🧺 video. 😊

I’m a big fan, Linda! They’ll last and last-even when I dropped one on the ground! I linked two sets-and I think one just comes with round chalkboard labels so you could use those for anything if you have a spice jar labeling system you already enjoy.

@@theashleycamber The spice rack I have used for the past 35 years hangs on the wall with the label on the lid showing and I love how easy it is to find the spice I want. My jars are glass and I know what you mean, I have dropped them many times and have never broken one. Cooking is a lot more fun when you can easily find what you need.

@@lindahenderson8890 Thirty-five years is a good testament to the fact that a good system makes all the difference. That makes me optimistic about the odds of our success with keeping our spices in order...So far this has worked well since 2020 and I just keep adding jars and refilling as needed. My boy is feeling/doing much better now and has a gnarly scarred finger to remember the experience-like the concept of tie a string on your finger to recall something. 😆 I get where you’re coming from with this…I often want to haul too many things out and end up shoving them back in when I realize a project is too large to handle all at once. @@theashleycamber I use a combination of clear and white organizing bins throughout my home. I used to use a lot of baskets, but I didn't like the fact I could not clean them as well as I can plastic so have converted most everything.

Oh, great point about cleaning off plastic. White bins are so peaceful. Wish I could say the same for my filled acrylic bins but, as you know, in many cases it’s helpful to see exactly what’s inside. 😌

That's a great question--and good eye! My guess is the bins sell more quickly in stores so Walmart likes to leave The Home Edit products at full price. Whereas perhaps walmart.com has overstock and quickly realized they should reduce the price to keep the inventory moving. Since I've seen this variance for 3 weeks now [after filming the video], it seems best to check the online price first before heading to the store. They are the same but different. The 16 dollar one is just the drawer and the 24 dollar one includes mini drawer inserts to divide the drawer into sections for multiple things

I love this suggestion! With my husband as our primary grocery shopper and cook, he prefers to shop weekly or bi-weekly for what he thinks he needs for family meals. However less frequently, I find joy in meal planning when I request items for his shopping runs. I love any tips for managing food inventory, so thanks for sharing! P.S. The ER and hospital stay were a bummer while decluttering my pantry but better me than my kids! Spoiler: While working on my pantry ORGANIZING video, my son got hurt and needed urgent care! So I think my pantry is cursed! 😆

Hi there. I understand your perspective. In my case, unfortunately for illogical reasons I kept saving food over the course of 8 years. At one point, I just began keeping the expired items so I wasn’t “wasting” them…yet sadly the food was already wasted. I was overdue to face the music, but I’m trying very hard to make big changes with my decisions regarding retaining things. I aim to be a bit better every day. Onward and upward! ☺️

Thanks for your suggestions, Tina! You bring up such a good point…I only decluttered when it came to the food, I didn’t part with anything else. You’re right, I kind of glossed over the visual of removing every food, placing it on the counter or table and sorting out the expired food for my trash and recycling bins. I’ll be sure to show the full process of my pantry organizing in my next video, and I’ll move the appliances and party supplies as you suggested. Thanks again! And my, I’m feeling better but the oral antibiotics kept kicking me while I was down these past two weeks! I’m ready to get my energy back. 😝

I had to work up the courage to willingly show the full mess and the disgusting waste as that was not easy. And indeed, it IS a challenge to maintain an organized space that's so frequently accessed by 5 people! Each of us access the pantry multiple times per day since I set up self-service stations for the kids to snag their own snacks at snack time. In 2018, I was very impressed by the concept of Swedish Death Cleaning and was engrossed in the [then new] audiobook, the author's podcast interviews and dabbling in the practice. Way to commit to that thoughtful approach for 2023...You can do it, Linda! You've got all the skills in your toolbox, the know-how and the desire to persevere!

As for foods that are years past their prime dates, [I know what ya mean and] I can tell that the more I accumulate the more daunting it seems to set aside time for decluttering. @@LadyVintageBags ah yes!! And it explains why colored opaque organizing bins ultimately didn't work for me in the pantry! Out of sight, out of mind. 🤭 I'm guessing you prefer to carefully display versus store away your handbags? Now I want to go to your channel and see if you've done a video on proper handbag storage...it would be interesting! I've found clear hanging storage to be ideal for me to store handbags so far.

👌🏻Sometimes I forget to ask myself the hard question of whether I’ll TRULY use something before I buy it and then when I own it there’s the “endowment effect“. Once I own it, I have a harder time of letting something go! Better to confirm if my “real self” will use it before it comes home with me. 😄 Want to know an example relating to handbags? Once I had a gift card for a designer handbag place and picked one in colors I never prefer, then I used it like once. One of these days it’ll be vintage, my friend! 😜 But until then, it’s not exactly a timeless shape for me to start wearing if I change my mind. Lesson learned!

@@theashleycamber hahah yes this happens so much when ladies buy a red handbag because they "think" they want a "pop of colour" and then realise their true self doesn't like red handbags hahah. Yes I have such a hard time decluttering! Best to be mindful at the time of purchasing!! And even after a big declutter I found that after a year or so I've re-acummulated the same amount I already let go of 😭
