@33:38 The best way to have done that part is, as soon as you use the axe on the bridge, immediately jump left or right to land back on the bridge and then you can sort your inventory out. There was also no need to just walk past the detonator, you could've just safely picked it up instead of having to back track after placing the dynamite. Luckily the Amiga 500 version didn't have the item glitch but there are a few extra enemies and @39:28 there is usually a shoal of fish here which can be problematic depending on the direction they are travelling in when you come back through that particular area. There was a point where the shoals kept killing me as I made the mandatory jump to get up the rocky incline but because of the positioning of the fish I kept getting killed every time. I thought I was gonna have to use the "Icanfly" cheat to get past them but I managed to get the fish moving back towards the other direction by going back one screen and then doing a careful jump forward so that dizzy rolls into the next screen allowing the fish to move forward before exiting the screen again and then doing this several times and then carefully jumping up and down until the fish left enough room to jump up the rocky incline without hitting them. It was a pain in the backside so what I do now is, when I want to go back down that way I wait until the fish swim some distance away that when I come back through I don't wind up accidentally hitting them as they are still swimming in the opposite direction. I had left both the flippers and the pogo stick on the side I was trying to get to which was why I couldn't do anything else except (almost) cheat. Edit: I should add since I was playing this on my new A500 mini I could save anywhere I wanted to which was great because I didn't want to repeatedly start over because of a game design flaw. Seems the NES version doesn't have that problem since there are slightly less enemies in the water. Humorously, after taking the boat across and reading the message I died. Reading it causes Dizzy to go flying upwards and into some water which I completely forgot about and since I didn't have the snorkel on, Dizzy drowned lol. I still counted that as game complete though since I had done everything that needed to be done including finding all 30 coins.

I'm not sure why people are always saying that Hexen sucks on Android phone. It don't. I have had Hexen on my Android LGK30 phone for years and I absolutely love it. Before I discovered Hexen, I was thinking about getting a Moog Mother and Sunharmonicon. But fortunately I discovered Hexen before dropping the cash on the Moog. Now, with that being said, let me just say that I don't make beats or traditional electronic house music. I'm a doomer that's into creating dark industrial dystopian soundscapes. Hexen is perfect for that! I have enhanced my set-up with three pieces of external hardware. I patch my phone into a Strymon BigSky, then patch that into a Strymon TimeLine, and then patch that into my Fender RUMBLE bass amp. Unfortunately, I don't have a PC or DAW, so since the original synth signal is actually leaving my phone, and going through my Strymon effects, I have no way of recording my soundscapes, so I just play live, in the privacy and comfort of my apartment, for my own personal enjoyment. Nonetheless, I must say that this little set-up is amazing, and I can create a self-generating patch and it'll just evolve over time. That way I can go hands-free, light up my pipe, and descend into the Matrix for hours and hours.

damn, that's unfortunate. i'm using linux and running caustic on wine and i haven't encountered any problems, maybe you could try that. i really hope rej releases the source code to caustic soon because it's a shame watching it rot and become unusable on more and more platforms as time goes on.

3:05 It amazes me that after 18 months of using Caustic, i still find things, like this*, that i was totally unaware of. It also makes me laugh when people scorn Caustic and tell you they use x or y and when you see what they use, you think "Ok. Thats just the same as the saw synth". Then they say "And i use z or w for drums" and its the same Caustics drum pads but with less useful features. But....they know best. * Or rather, you find things like this and i go "Aaah yeah, thats ace"

12:53 I use the moon jump cheat code to get that mask from game genie B98B-37D7 EE85-3D67 E985-3D07 DD8D-3767 C287-3407 to make the mask jump even higher to get it.
