House Bill 9495
Dr. Beth Gazely leads a conversation on House Bill 9495, the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, which is giving nonprofit organizations cause for concern.
"I believe that this is part of a strategy to preempt opposition to Republican policies and encourage self-censorship. It's a way for the GOP to try and restrict what activists and nonprofit organizations can say or do. And, essentially, it's a threat to political opponents of President-elect Donald Trump."
~Dr. Beth Gazley
Dr. Gazley is an Indiana University scholar of nonprofits, local governance and civil society.

Fixing Mayhem: Tools for When Things Go Terribly Wrong in the Team
I wish this was somehow indexed into topic chapters... at almost 2 hours long it's a lot to try to wade through... Also, the TRT could be shorter with some editing, ya know...
HI longjohn. I appreciate your comment. I can look into topic chapters. I wish I had time to do more editing!

How can I get this software
HI,,not sure if I missed it, but is there a way to export the final playlist to an CSV or excel file so jocks can plan their shows offline? Thank you
The multiselect is great so is the graphical EQ. But it would be much better if you had macros and could save values to apply in later sessions.
Thank you!!

The problem with the StationPlaylist tutorials at this link is that, while the tutorials may have been very good, the videos were ruined by including extremely annoying background music in the video's!
I used to work in broadcasting & used an expensive automation at the station. Then, in 2009 I found SPL & use studio & creator as a hobby. It’s fantastic.
Kevin hope all is well, can you help me with spl. I had my station going well until my friends fatal accident. I have the playlist and psa, and sweepers in creator but can't seem yo get it loaded. I have remote pc where someone could log on to my computer and help. I live in Killeen Tx with wife and three resuce dogs and need this up and running in plylist studio, unfortunatlyit wont automate and i can't see the playlist. ken did the programming and I did the paying for stuff. I am willing to pay for your help. Dean Butler

Great overview. Thanks!
From John Fox: " I hope this was comprehensive enough for a startup generator project without being too scattered. And I’m always cognizant of the fact that we were really well-supported in being able to assemble a top- notch system when we first built this place - including a lot of things most community stations can’t afford unless they’re donated, which a significant part of ours were. Having comprehensive power back-up was considered a top priority in line with the emergency communications pledge in our mission statement. Saves a lot on staffing too, which is probably our biggest ongoing challenge, especially during the pandemic." More from John Fox: "I’d also like to emphasize that our system is pretty deluxe and allow us to run the entire building and transmitter just as if we had grid power. But careful consideration of only what is ESSENTIAL to stay on the air can result in a much more affordable solution involving a portable generator, wiring for manually tapping it into the circuits that need emergency power, and strategically-placed UPS units to bridge the gap between grid power failure and brining the generator online. Remote control is a luxury in such a minimal configuration. The whole thing can be done with new, not used equipment for under $1,000 for most LPFM’s. Higher transmitter power will require a bigger generator. "

If you want to add an external mixer, make sure it has a USB output. The Behringer Xenyx Q502-USB is an inexpensive option with just 2 channels and a mic.
