    We have a HF20 at the moment and it stopped working. One of the controllers is in Active and the Other is in Unknown. Strangely the Active one keeps rebooting but nothing is in the Alarm/Event as a warning/critical error. Would the active one fail also if it's Active with no standby? I had alot of info about temperature. We tried removing the broken controller but the other one still reboots and we can't use the Nimble, any ideas as there End Of Life and HP won't help?

      @Carlo Carlo If replacing the controller the FW is located on the Sata DOM. My recommendation would be to swap over the Sata DOM. HDD is also shipped with whatever level and would typically stop at said level. No, the Active controller doesn't 'push' FW to passive controller. It's recommended to have both controllers operating at the same level.

    • @itsmylife8972
      @itsmylife8972 2 года назад

      Many thanks for your kind feedback. It depends on the type of replication your doing (Synchronous vs Asynchronous replication) and link latency and speed. If doing Asynchronous then possibly, depending on the above. If doing Synchronous replication then it needs to be =<5 ms RTT, a minimum of 10Gb bandwidth along with some vendor specific criteria, though yes site to site VPN is supported.

    • @itsmylife8972

      When you say only by server, can you elaborate? Nimble storage block level replication is via IP. Nimble arrays don't care about network technology as long traffic can be exchanged. If you want to carry out encryption in transit (which is certainly advised over WAN), that is all part of your design choices.

    Hey there, I watched your whole video! I will be having the same thing, I have had sinus issues for 8 + half very long years-and whenever I did bring up about sinus issues not one of them mentioned about a CT/X-ray scan but when I had an MRI scan it did show my right side of my nose was perforated but nothing was said about that but about no tumours etc! 😡 BTW-I'm also from the UK in England so will be having th is all done via the NHS, Anyway had all these appointments cancelled due to Covid which was super annoying and would get burning sensation through my nose constantly for years-had my CT scan had my results from telephone today and said I have a cyst/Polyp in my right nostril under my eye and a deviated septum! So he was booking that and should be ready to sort out in a couple of months. 😁 I knew burning sensation was due to sinus infection but as it was constant for years and didn't go then knew that the crooked septum interferes with drainage of mucus from the sinuses into the nasal cavity, this can be a prime environment for bacteria to grow, leading to repeated episodes of infection and inflammation in these spaces! I also have a hanging-Columello, surly they will do that while having my Septoplasty right as it is part of the septum! Where in England you from- I'm in Kent between Dartford/Bexleyheath way! Prob have it done at Queen Mary's Hospital-Sidcup!

      I had a septocollumea plasty on Friday with the NHS at Calderdale and Huddersfield Royal Hospital. I was lucky to not have had it cancelled. Apparently they called off all non urgent surgeries that day due to increasing covid admissions. The anaesthesia was quite difficult to come around the next day from (muscles were fatigued) but in terms of the surgery itself I am not necessarily in a lot a of pain. The first night was quite unpleasant, with a lack of sleep. I have ordered a moras nose guard, which I plan to wear after 7 days. I’m not sure if they put sutures / struts in my nose as they said they most likely would. Will be interesting at my appointment, however, mine is in 8 weeks so don’t expect 3 check up appointments afterwards through the NHS as in this video. Maybe he went private or it is due to covid 🤷‍♂️ If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer. Ps, good video btw, I should of watched it before I went in like. I had a standard septoplasty when I was 16 so I didn’t bother to research this time

      Yes synchronous replication is supported on later versions of code. Synchronous replication is completely different in regards to setup and there are some dependant requirements, caveats and limitations vs asynchronous. Think of this as arrays have to be in a group as one would with arrays with a group leader in a local storage cluster, though arrays in the same group are stretched across sites.

    • @itsmylife8972
      @itsmylife8972 3 года назад

      Passive controller gets flashed first, array fails over to new code on what was passive controller, now active controller. Then remaining controller gets flashed to new code, leaving the array serving traffic on opposite controller before firmware upgrade was done. E.g. If before firmware upgrade is done array is serving traffic out of controller A, after completion of firmware upgrade, array will be serving traffic out of controller B.
