It's crazy how J is literally a male mix of ALL The Clark Sisters.... And MORE. An underrated genius of our time. It's crazy to me. The artists that people SHOULD be championing often don't get the recognition for their genius until they are old or gone. Rance Allen had been breaking barriers for DECADES... Crossing over to secular radio long before it was typical for gospel artists. He was literally a musical genius. Played EVERY instrument PROFICIENTLY. Not to mention the fact that he was a vocal ASSASSIN who singers from gospel, soul to R&B STUDIED. And he didn't even a win a stellar award until the last decade is his life. It's absolutely insane to me. Not the others aren't deserving..... But I can think of a few who have received honors time & again... and yet they are mediocre - at best. Sure, gospel artists don't make music for earthly rewards... But I'm simply talking about giving honor where honor is DUE.
