"friends" is a temporary spell; when it wears off, the characters realize they've been manipulated and will turn hostile. i prefer "thaumaturgy" - advantage is better than a tiny bonus and there's no negative effect, oddly enough.

First thing I did with my golden dice was punching aradin, I appreciate the hells outta a fellow anti aradin lobbyist. Also great work with the harpies, genuinely so smart using a spell to negate the charm effect.

Was not expecting Wyll to die in that fight o.o I assumed he'd be scripted to regen to full HP if reduced to 0 or just get back up when it was all over, but I was wrong lol

11:52 hope you didn't use that "perk" on the goblin ambush in the village - you lose out on a ton of exp by doing that. How? Being a drow automatically gets you out of the fight with that group and you get the exp for the group too. But it also makes every other goblin in the village non-hostile and killing them does not reward exp. So you only got exp for one group of enemies instead of 4 of them.

A couple of suggestions that may help if you're struggling with Honour mode:- - Definitely respec every NPC character as soon as you have them or Withers, their Attributes are very suboptimal for their respective classes. Will definitely help, even with only minor tweaks. - As someone already mentioned in another comment, you can pickpocket Withers without any repercussions - saves a lot of money if you need revives/respecs. - If your willing to play the game from a slightly more optimal view rather than natural roleplaying, then explore the area a lot more before getting into the bigger fights. You gain a significant amount of xp just from entering new regions/areas. It is possible to get to level 4 without entering a single big fight, other than the entrance to druid grove. The only region that progresses the story are Rosymorn Monastery region - Don't go there until you have resolved the Druid ritual however you see fit. I obviously wouldn't recommend this for a first playthrough, the story is just too good, and flows pretty naturally, but if you're struggling with honour mode, and are willing to, it can make a massive difference. You unlock more vendors, better items, and get xp. But it is definitely more gamey than natural, so depends on how you feel about it. - Alchemy is a huge help. One little thing I tend to do (but is also VERY gamey), is have one hireling spec'ed into a Transmutation wizard. Have them be your alchemist. At level 2, they have the chance to make 2 potions instead of 1 each time based on a medicine skill check. To min-max this, at level 5, have them be 3 Bard 2 Wizard, with expertise in medicine, and access to enhance ability spell. This gives them advantage on those medicine checks. Lots of potions/elixirs. Useful to use or sell if you're struggling for money. Potions of speed can really turn a difficult fight in your favour because action economy is king. - This one is probably obvious as you've completed the game before, but just in case, examine all of the enemies (T key on PC) to read their abilities/resistances. Will absolutely help you choose better tactics/skills to use for each fight. Especially bosses, they all have extra abilities/legendary resistances, that are exclusive to honour mode. - Don't be afraid to flee from combat and come back again later. - Leave Grym until as late as possible, he will royally kick your ass unless you are prepared for him (or have a tavern brawler monk in your party) - bludgeoning damage is VITAL. Other than that, good luck with it. The difficulty spike is huge at first, if you're only used to Balanced/Explorer. But, once you've got the hang of it, you won't be able to go back. I look forward to seeing your progress.

The one thing i wanna say, im not sure if youd know of this or not since this is my first time seeing your videos, but if you try to pickpocket withers, it doesnt make a difference how many times you fail the slight of hand, he'll never leave or get angry, so as long as you have the gold for one revival, you'll have enough for every revival

easy way to get past those intellect devourers is to sneak over to just past where the fire is on the ground, wait there hidden for about 10 seconds and the brain on the ledge will climb down, as soon as its close by to the other brain on the ground go into turn based and either use Shadowhearts firebolt or dip an arrow in the fire and hit the nautiloid tank sitting right by the brain on the ground. You'll take out both of them in one turn.
