kayaking the River Itchen from Woodmill Activity Centre to beyond Northam bridge. However I mistakenly didn't record fully how far beyond Northam bridge I paddled. Got to just before Shamrock Quay then turned back because of some large boat traffic.

Less primary stability and harder to paddle due I guess to the boat sitting a tad lower in fresh water compared to salt. It felt like I was paddling through treacle. Another paddle around lake pier on our Midways. Not on video was a go at a tow which went well and the wife practicing self rescues. Tide was dropping too low with it being a spring tide so next time we'll paddle the flood and go further around. I also had a go at some bracing, right or wrong I dunno but it was all good fun.

Trying to work on efficient paddle technique and rotating with leg drive rather than arm power. Yes it requires a lot of work but I'm having a go and even if not looking at all correct I was fully aware I was going faster with less effort. So it's a start in the right direction.

Paddling from Lake pier in Poole harbour to Rockley Park in my RTM Dag Midway. First time in a flat calm sea. Had a nice chat with a guy paddling a Salty Frog and done some more self rescues. They're very easy in flat calm water.

This is my third day in the Midway with around 8 hrs total paddling time. So still completely new to this kayak but as you can see time in the seat is all it takes. I now only tip out if I deliberately do so.

Second time out in the Midway in more challenging conditions. Wind was WSW F4 gusting to 6. Starting to find my balance now and chose to paddle beam on deliberately to work at staying upright. Very first paddle of one of our new RTM dag Midways. Lots and lots of self rescue practice too, some deliberate some not. Really nice to paddle but it was my first time and was very tippy. I lost a scupper plug but it doesn't really need them anyway. Just looking to see what would be best. As I intend to fit a compass I decided on the forward position. However mounts and pads are cheap soooo I will just fit another mount so I can have either. I'll have my chest mount and stick too. Oh and yes it's 1080p from the GoPro,it's not like this needs to be 4k 🙄. Just longing to get out on the water which I'm still unable to do 😔.
