There isn't a film camera in the world now, or then that could capture the utter sensory overload that this show presented to us. I was at the Wembley show 11 Aug 1993, the day before my 21st birthday. What a gift. It was simply extraordinary. The true successor to the Diamond Dogs tour in terms of rock n roll theatre presented in a way we'd never imagined. I feel so lucky to have been there. Mephisto ordered pizza for the whole stadium, said a load of stuff you'd never get away with now even though it was satire, and Salman Rushdie came on stage for talking the most learned sense ever. We saw the future, our new Europe. But it was wasn't to be.

This was my 1st U2 gig. I was just 20, now 51. I just only vaguely remember it. I remember the atmosphere, how huge it was. It was massive and i think, looking back, that it was so much to grasp all at once. There was so much going on.

I admit i like this track. One story about the Dub fab four has them coming into Berlin, autumn 1990, Wall had come down. They joined a march, all banners, firewirks, gaiety and all of that. It was a pro-Fascist rally they'd joined in mistake.

Not long finished a Christopher Isherwood novel; 'ok'. Zoo Station is mentioned. Not sure was it the 'last station' on the west side.

2000 - everybody was upbeat, jovial, having a good time …… the last year , in a long time , Americans felt that way …..

So many things were right about this night...starting with Conan being loose as heck while in awe. Saw this a few nights later at the Garden late...epic. Mary J came out for One and melted the world's most famous arena. Underrated an understatement, but best played only sparingly as it was...made it more special. They were so dialed in on this tour esp the Fall segment...Philly, DC, Garden shows epic. Can only imagine Boston and the like were the same...

What is the remastering process? Upscale, colorgrade, sound eq?

That was one of the best performances I've ever seen in terms of close up visuals, incredible magnitude. I felt like I was in the audience and they were right in front of me. Fabulous, thanks for doing this! It was also an incredible performance from U2 in a smaller venue and shows they can perform anywhere and sound great. Bono's voice and energy, plus Edge's playing were excellent. It was more understated and suits them, Bono not too much talking! Absolutely loved it, everyone should see this, so thank you! Love U2 forever.

i matured and moved on in the 90s. this reinvention of u2 wasn't lacking any musical creativity, but i could really care less for the theatrics and raunchiness. the irish lads eventually succumbed to the outward pressure of the world critics, and the result of their over emphasis on being 'less serious' was sadly disappointing. things change, i get it. but as i said, i suppose both the band and i moved on, and they never saw a dime out of my pocket after rattle and hum.

I can't believe i was actually there at Footy Park! It was my first ever concert...and the best I've ever been to. Nothing comes even close. It changed me in a deeply fundamental way, forever. I'm watching this performance for the first time since i saw it live, and when the riff for Where The Streets Have No Name comes in I'm getting the same goosebumps, and its bringing the same tears to my eyes 30 years later. Saw Madonna at the MCG a couple of months later, but not even she could get near this masterful, epic, unforgettable performance.

I remember listening to this on the radio and taping it in 2000.
