The Preston Family adventures. We are a family of five that love to explore the world around us near and far sometimes by bike, car, or even foot. The first adventure for the Chanel is walking from Georgia to Maine along the Appalachian mountains. Follow along with us as we hit the mountains and valleys of the east and meet all kinds of amazing people,places, and things.

We have a great day over Max Patch and then we all get sick with NORO virus and get off trail in Hot Spring to recover.

The Preston crew head up into the Smoky mountains and have sun, rain, freezing cold, and ice and snow. Awesome views about as we pass 200 miles and the highest point on the Appalachian trail.

Preston 5 have their biggest vertical climbing day yet, we make it to Fontana Dam and take a day off while playing mini put and eating real food
Fire towers, Cheese knife falls down and Our first hostel stay days 16-18

Up and over a few bald peaks and fire towers, Japheth falls down and goes boom, and a mini farm hostel just what Lu needed missing her own animals. A good few days on the trail.

Congrats on crossing the GA/NC state line! Where are you guys from in the country? Have you hiked any of the AT before this year? Now following 45!
We are from middle Tennessee, we haven’t hiked any of the AT as a family before but have hiked some of the major peaks in the northeast that the trail goes over. Thanks for following, more miles and views to come.
